I've just read that the CMA have voted to reject the pay offer.
Not sure what they want though.
Are managers the new " blue collar workers?"
I Spy
I Spy, do you have a link for that?
Give the posties free shares instead of pay rise, if they do a good job then SP would rise........hmmm not sure the hedgies would allow the SP to rise. The U.K market is a Vulture’s play ground.
@ Oligarch.
Unite - CMA facebook. The ballot closed at noon on 13th and the offer rejected. The rise was for junior and middle management.
All about the money for managers whereas us lazy posties just want protection.
I wonder If the next ballot will be for IA if lower level mangers don't get the pay rise they think they deserve.
Interesting times ahead.
I Spy
Pretty brutal there spy .
It seems you think that managers should not get pay rises and don’t deserve them . And it’s a pay rise they think they deserve; but don’t really ?
I hear they still work a 41hr wk , how many hours are you on ? And tell me again , just how short it’s that finacial gap between postie and manager . That Gets smaller every year. Perhaps you forget about the contribution of others and only care about your own. Speaks volumes .
@ ABRoyalMail.
The reason I posted "it's all about the money" was more referencing the fact that whenever a ballot is mentioned, it's always the postie who is greedy.
I just though i'd turn it on its head.
Are the mangers being greedy? Probably not. And yes, they do still work a 41 hour week. Well, some do, if you know what I mean. I don't know what the lowest level manager earns or indeed what their bonuses are, so I cannot say what the gap is.
I Spy
I spy with my little eye something beginning with B.... bull****...….. managers have rejected a pay rise of 2.6% because their bonus was cut short in april due to non productivity and seen their payrise eradicated..... same as 1hr reduction has been called into question...…….no efficiency= no pay rise as such.... think it was rpi….. ffs lets get on with our job.... both sides and then when we increase our productivity go for it.... until then be careful what you wish for
Wolves. Seems you may be clarifying the situation that I questioned in my earlier post `did Back renage on the agreement of his predecessor Moira. If yes, why? Have the workforce fulfilled their side of the bargain?
red no they have not.... I am front line posty ie on foot delivering.... I can only post what I have in my bag.. but over summer managers have been lapsing jobs.... ie people off sick. left etc. so no overtime has been paid to cover... I believe indoors it has been different... ie. joes off sick. les wont cover him as hes not trained on that machine but les will do it on overtime...…….. hows that work. ffs.... rico has got their back up and from what I see is fair pay for a fair day...... moira was on a free holiday...
Wolves. As I thought, two sides to every story. The more I witness from this guy Rico the more comfortable I am about RMGs future.
It was a good day when Moira did a runner and they got a proper CEO.
RoyALMail what you don't know she is Moyas twin sister....
sorry was a typo... moya I meant...… moira is not even a name I wanna think about.....
@ wolvesposty.
Isn't that the reason why they voted against a 1.6% pay rise?
And as far as productivity is concerned: We do summer lapsing. But in my office it lasts from January to November.
So lets just get on with our jobs FFS.
Are you worried about your investment? I'm not!
I Spy
isle perhaps in your office walks are different...… some over here they can finish walks in 3 hrs do lapsing and still finish early... ghosting o/t gone now and about time
TBF I spy I was really talking about increased productivity indoors.... us postys cannot determine that would you agree?
tbf isle also... if your office lapses jan-nov that tells me you being finishing early for years..... so rico does have an argument then???? and that's being found out... lets clock in and out and then we all together as one...( no cwu wont have that....) but will never happen cos some are more equal than others...
red nice to see rmg holding on with a falling market...… 350 in 2019 dyor
@ wolvesposty.
The agenda for growth agreement (superseded by the together for growth agreement), page 27, paragraph 1.
FULLY UTILISE ALL PAID HOURS!
Now that would cover both indoors and outdoors.
You call it lapsing, I call it working to your time.
Tell me then, why do you continually state that posties are finishing early? You must be referring to your office, your work colleagues.
Do you rush over and "TELL" your managers that your colleagues are finishing early?
Yes. Mr Back has a point. But only where it's applicable. Let's see where these savings can be made.
Your office maybe????
I Spy
Wolves. Yes indeed and a good increase over the month. With all the turmoil generally things should be different. The fact that RMG hasn't dropped speaks volumes.
in our village we used to have 2 posties delivering .now we have about 6 different ones at different times of the day .i think they are employing more doing less hours to save on overtime and pension contributions .
Less overtime to pay sounds good to me. I'm sure if they were all clocking in and out it would be beneficial also. Surely an accurate record of hours worked is best. I wonder why the CWU are against it?
Wow 20 words strung together in one post. That's equivalent to verbal diarrhoea for you. Are you OK Fake?
