I have just got in from work, apologies I thought the Cypress address was the Registered address, my mistake. Looks like it was just a change of address in Jersey.
Cawn I hope in time the SP get back to where it was prior to the war.
Good to see the SP is steadily rising, looking forward to the RNS on the 22/9/22 with an update on the inventory.
You use 'youtube' as a reference source. You do now most people can't be bothered with youtube these days as it is full of utter fake news, full of trojans, riddles with viruses, and a boring waste of time. Post sources subject to editorial review.
“Shred of evidence the war is over
by xmas”
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=g_kj60DIq2M
That’s all folks… oh and your words!
Attempting to predict when a "war" (sum of all battles) ends is simply folly, each of us will have our own opinion based on vague, pre-approved, snippets of information, from the untold tapestry of truth. Those who are in control of the wars (political leaders and their backers, not military leaders) will not pay so much attention to the battles won or lost, but the larger economic picture. That of inevitable transition.
https://youtu.be/xguam0TKMw8
The true investors among us, will zoom out and comprehend the larger picture. My personal feeling is that we are at the beginning of the 20 year transition...things will no doubt get significantly worse, before better, Ukraine being of small significance to the grand scheme, Taiwan being the main event. If history is anything to go by, hegemony only lasts so long....I don't think that'll change in our lifetimes.
Sometimes we have to put dogged patriotism and ego to one side, the financial markets don't care for either. The likes of Pelosi and Co placing their option trades ready to monetise policy/economy change, should be all you need to make a credible appraisal of the situation.
My believe is that, whilst POLY has a foot in both camps (East and West), which brings its challenges, it is better placed in a transitioning market. However, like the ending of any relationship, the disgruntled ex will do all they can to scupper your future, even cutting off their metaphoric nose, ultimately it only slows your assent to a bright future. The POLY management team, hopefully, will be focussing on the longer term strategy, not short term reactionary change.
The economic war will dwarf any physical war thus far. Next steps, interest rates tank, $ devaluation.
Cawn, it's great people, who plant trees, they will never sit in the shade of.
Cawn.
I would never wish to pry into your personal circumstances, but would say, that things here can turn on a sixpence. It may I accept take a couple of years to reach £13 but if you keep off the big cigars, moderate the 20yr old single malt and wave goodbye to the dancing girls, (as I hope to do) with any luck at all, we will both see the "Lucky 13". As you I'm sure, well know, this is an odd thing that we all doth enjoy and endure. It is the most wonderous of gifts.
Take care.
Myself and my wife have £441,600 invested in here; currently valued at £70,400.
So a long way to go. Lesson learnt, the only saving grace is we are both nearing the end of our life’s journey, so in essence if the loss has to be realized, it will be Cancer Research’s loss, not ours.
It looked a good price around £13.80 pence, sadly we were wrong.
"So exactly what I thought, nobody here has a single shred evidence this war ends by this xmas."
And where is your 'shred' of evidence it would last past Christmas?
So exactly what I thought, nobody here has a single shred evidence this war ends by this xmas.
Wishful dreaming aside, if it wasn’t so tragic for those being killed, then I’d be laughing about it.
It’s not funny.
"Which xmas is that then? Must be some good weed you got."
Is weed legal yet?
Russian army is actually being torn up all along the line of contact and deep behind the lines. And as Pandamonia refers, the modern nato it is only just getting started. Russia ad nothing but a fear factor. Turns out there is no armed force of any consequence.
I expected this to be over with Russia in retreat back to Feb borders, the separatists left to the mercy of a very angry Ukrainian army. I may be bring that forward to September as the generals simply can not sustain the extensive depletion of supply and men. When the Crimea Bridge is taken out, Crimea itself may have to be abandoned too!!
However, irrespective of when the war ends, irrespective of when/if sanctions end, the damage done to Russia in the business world means the only logical course of action is the same as so many other businesses have done or in the process. And it is best too for the Russians employed in those businesses, that is splitting businesses along jurisdiction lines. Russians will be taxed and levied to hell and back for the next couple of decades for this folly rebuilding what they destroyed, ironically mostly in areas they were supposed to be 'liberating'.
And then there will be a decade of war trials and detailing of the horrors the Russian army committed. Businesses globally will have another motivation to keep things arms length.
As the saying goes, "Better out than in".
War will not end as such it will just simmer down to something like Israel and Palestine occasionally throwing missiles at each other .
The long range capability of Ukraine to hit anywhere it likes on the Crimea including Putins 200 + billion ruble bridge is a game changer they can hit anytime they feel like it , and all putins mates have abandoned their beachside properties and fled , it’s completely untenable for any Russian resident wanting to visit there now !
He cannot end the war and walk away otherwise he will have to admit it’s been an unmitigated disaster.
So it will carry on on a very limited scale indefinitely
Perfect as a proving ground for US military tech
( so everyone will be happy)
There will no doubt be some deal with gas for Europe in return for agricultural and healthcare trading between the West and Russia which will require certain Russian bank/s to facilitate such an agreement which in turn frees up Poly !
All in my opinion obviously
1853 has nothing to do with today you idiot. Fact is that this war is burning very hot and Russia arent making any gains which means the thousands of losses per week plus the destruction of their armour, airforce and ammo dumps are unsustainable. Then there is the winter and the mud which will break the will of the invading force. Add in the crashing energy price and sanctions and there is very little about this war that says it can last. Lend lease hasnt even started yet either that comes in October.
Carltt is a clown
Cawn, I often think of you and your investment friends down the pub, mulling over POLY. I hope you're all well and enjoyed the recent sunny weather?
“war will be over by xmas. Carl is a troll”
Ok folks, nows the facts:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_War
Do have a read up on this Crimean war, do you think a war with roots from October 1853 will end in a couple of months? If so, what evidence do you have? Links etc. will be necessary for such bold claims and does Putin agree with you?
Old Address: 44 Esplanade St Helier JERSEY, JE4 9WG United Kingdom.
New Address: Charter Place 23-27, Seaton Place, St. Helier, Jersey JE4 0WH.
Carltt, another epic fail, must try harder, 221p on the bid.
Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
Putin must be a John Lennon fan back in the USSR.
“war will definitely be over by xmas”
Which xmas is that then? Must be some good weed you got.
Do tell everyone your sources of information for such a ludicrous statement!
Poly isnt down lol. It always opens on the ask discount. Spread is usually big.
Im up from 1.20 per share. Carltt is a troll.
Poly down again today!
“now the war is coming to end “
LOL. Keep drinking that kool aid folks!
Polymetal is a company registered in Jersey, and therefore it's registered office must be in Jersey. Similarly, UK registered companies must have a registered address only in the UK.
Sagacity
I'm very late into POLY so don't have a lot of history with how it has been run. I read the RNS and 'assumed' it was an address change from one office in Jersey to another.
I thought POLY already had a company registration there and it was an office move for any number of reasons such as building works on their current address or the landlord had sold the building or something. Obviously I could be completely wrong but I notice blueburg says he lives there and it's a building move.
Anyway, time will tell, all the best.
???? It was a change of address, probably to one not covered with listening devices!
and it's unlikely their going to sell any mines now the war is coming to end definitely over by xmas
I live in jersey the company had always been registered in Jersey it's just moved into a different building nothing special.
