I’m just happy the wider market of pi’s are taking the opportunity to get on board before the instis snap up all the free float and take control with their bots
Looks like the MM's want an orderly rise, little increments day by day. Probably for the best rather than a fast and furious up and down.
Dr R- Exactly...that's why to make it easy I'm quoting 60p in 2 years...which is still 50% a year...for the next 2.
As as we know the likelihood could be easily lot higher.
As far as NEM taking over the AEM, I don't know, unless they do merger at global level. Not here for now.
Yep- Negative is- most PIs are not listening to my advance efforts of roof top announcements to get them in, cheap and
in stronger position to make good returns unless they see it in RNS , interview or some other sources :)
Plus, they get scared at little tree shakes of MM dilemma to get transfer their prime holding to the big boys and run away over the park!
:)
The only negative is the fact it's flown off the handle abit before most of us had time to throw more funds in. Unless FARC are heading towards the Andes or Escobar's not really dead we shouldn't have much to worry. If the results that come back are much better than expected, what do people think the odds are of NM taking over Agnico? That's something I keep dwelling on, not sure why though. Gut feeling.
Yes development funding is sorted. OMI will only have to cover their corporate costs. What is that per year? $1 million? Brad recently said their costs are down 40% so maybe their run rate is $0.6m per year. Easily manageable without dilution.
Remember folks, another $2 million cash payment is due when phase two kicks in which could be well before September 2022 if NMT/AEI want to fast track the project.
At the end of the day if you throw a decent amount in and it doubles in 12 months your laughing, better than 0.00064% off Natwest or the other jokers. The results are obviously there and there's no risk of finance worry / dilution. What more do you need.
Bhargav - you have been asking the right question .
Where else would you confidently put your money in to earn multiples in the current market??
The answer would be
- has good proven source
- reliable Bod
- no risk of placings and dilution
- solid funding base backed by billion dollar Cos
- Low market cap
- Favourable geo-political setting
- A chance to get in early in the progressive journey
I am unable to find one negative aspect of OMI which ticks all the positive boxes.
Only negatives, as for any other miners would be a natural disaster - ie earth quake Or fall through of the joint ventures here. The fall offs of JVs is very unlikely , in that we have 2 giants here , one backing the other.
Enough of positives- can anyone please post the possible negatives here for a change . I am struggling to find one. LOL
DrRemington, thats exactly the math i did before deciding to buy in, the opportunity for a 7x - 10x here is mind boggling.
And if its only half as good as you thought, you’re still up 400%!
Share price is irrelevant, it's as Bhargav stated the Market Cap you want to look at. There's going to be no dilution going forward so if we got to half of GGP's Market Cap, approx 400m then that would give us a SP of £2.50 or 7.5x the current SP.
This could be one hell of a journey for sure !
Yes, more then SP, look at the market cap, and liquidity..and big float..that too in the middle of drilling and way before JV.
You can imagine, what probably we may witness here.
All things works well for those who keep their patience...!
Bhargav in the last 12 months alone ggp went from 1.8p to over 22p today. As many investors are using ggp to some extent as a bit of a template then I would certainly settle for similar rise over such a short period.
NewmontGold thanks for that, I would settle for a ggp style rise for OMI as over the past 12 months it has been phenomenal.
ST123- I'm with GGP since 5m, Mcap days in Mar'17. I have been equally lonely there too for long. And this is where they're at just under 4 yrs.
GGP shows, it takes only one good license in the mighty wing of a major to reach to the blue skies...they started from very humble position.
We've unfair, but much better odds, with 2 majors and better grades to begin with..
Let's see how it unfolds in coming weeks and months going forward.
GL.
But note they were diluted along the way so the cap has risen but the shares in issue have gone from circa 1.7bn to 3.8bn in issue.
No threat of dilution to the 160m shares in issue with OMI for many years to come of at all.
Just look at their chart for quick reference
NewmontGold do you know how long it took for ggp to go from 68m mcap to over 800m
Brad explained that he joined the company in May and as expected became CEO in July. The company is transitioning from a previous gold mine in Uruguay which produced 1.5 million ounces of gold until 2018, to a new project in Columbia with 'quite exceptional' asset quality.
"There are very few gold mines in the world of similar potential, and the fact we have two of the top ten gold miners in the world involved in its development speaks to that potential." said Brad. "Its 50Km South of Buritica which has 10/11 million ounces of gold, very high grade, plus 10 grams. Anza is an exact analouge geologically, its the same structure, rocks , width and grade to Buritica. What we don't have yet is the same tonnes, so we need to prove the resource.
Operations are commencing from a confirmed discovery position here and not from just a above surface survey as was the case for Newcrest with GGP. Awaiting drill results ggp sat at circa £68m cap. Upon first results the market started to believe.
Newmont/Agnico are starting from a confirmed discovery status. Anza stated as being in the top 2% of gold prospects worldwide as per CEO Brad George comments.
For info.

Newmont had concurrently acquired $2 million of Orosur shares, giving it at a 19.9% stake in the junior
I wonder if Agnico acquires the same matching Newmont as it did with Royal road increasing its stake from 9.43% to 19.9% recently.
