Bluelight, Jungla, the new DHSC contract was RNS’d at 7.00am, Tuesday 29-9-20 (so prior to trading) but according to an updated publication of that contract (posted here recently) the start date was Monday 28-9-20. Fourteen weeks of phase one takes us to Sunday 3-1-21. The phase one extension wasn’t optional, I believe (so revenues to a great extent baked in, therefore no need to RNS) but allowed for volumes/prices to be varied up/down at the behest of DHSC and would take us to an end date of Sunday 14-3-21. Phase two was optional (presumably would need to be announced if signed on the dotted...) but should start Monday 15-3-21. If last year’s procedure was followed, we could expect an RNS at 7.00am on Tuesday 16-3-21.
This is my take and imo.
@Bluelight,
Interesting question. It has puzzled me somewhat too. The extension of phase 1 of the contract has never been confirmed (as far as I know). So the contract should have ended mid January (14 weeks = 3.5 months = mid January). However it is clear Nova are still supporting the NHS (as mentioned in the TU). So some sort of contract must be in place at the moment. Is it the phase 1 extension (which runs to the end of March = 10 more weeks from mid January)? Or is it another agreement that is in place? I don't know, but I would sure like to see the question answered by one of the more knowledgeable persons on this BB. If it is the extension of phase 1, then we are talking about 100m£ in revenue.
Bluelight et al - Should a new or extended contract be signed within a week or so or perhaps a more flexible arrangement as suggested by ShaunP to allow NCYT to accommodate latest ever advancing technology, would one think GM will release this info' to try and drag the SP out of the gutter and then follow up later with likely healthy year end results?
Hi Shaun, welcome back. What's your view on when the 24 week phase 1 contract runs out. I have it as a week on tuesday (24 weeks from the RNS), but I've not built in any wiggle room. If that is a firm date then I'd expect the contract extension update next week, with hopefully a few additional services that are being rolled out added on top.

Hi ak_gabba. Thanks for for putting the full link.
The variants are causing global concern and regardless of what Matt Handc?ck says tonight, the fact the UK conducted the most tests ever on March 3rd tells us all the truth about what is going on backstage. Swan gliding gracefully , legs frantically moving below the surface. Actually that's an insult to compare such a beautiful bird .

Hi Squad, yes that was a really interesting read.

'When Will It End?': How a Changing Virus Is Reshaping Scientists' Views on COVID-19
A new consensus is emerging among scientists, according to Reuters interviews with 18 specialists who closely track the pandemic or are working to curb its impact
Chris Murray, a University of Washington disease expert whose projections on COVID-19 infections and deaths are closely followed worldwide, is changing his assumptions about the course of the pandemic.
Murray had until recently been hopeful that the discovery of several effective vaccines could help countries achieve herd immunity, or nearly eliminate transmission through a combination of inoculation and previous infection. But in the last month, data from a vaccine trial in South Africa showed not only that a rapidly-spreading coronavirus variant could dampen the effect of the vaccine, it could also evade natural immunity in people who had been previously infected.
"I couldn't sleep" after seeing the data, Murray, director of the Seattle-based Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, told Reuters. "When will it end?" he asked himself, referring to the pandemic. He is currently updating his model to account for variants' ability to escape natural immunity and expects to provide new projections as early as this week.
A new consensus is emerging among scientists, according to Reuters interviews with 18 specialists who closely track the pandemic or are working to curb its impact. Many described how the breakthrough late last year of two vaccines with around 95% efficacy against COVID-19 had initially sparked hope that the virus could be largely contained, similar to the way measles has been.
