Price was gapped up from 460 to 509 this am and the volume could not hold that rise hence the drop, if it slides below £5 could drop to 460 but I think it will hold above 530
Nixyno - although there are 1200 hospitals, many are small hospitals with no lab - tests are sent to bigger hospitals.
There are approx. 200 acute trusts in England (ie groups of hospitals) and therefore a contract for 300 machines suggests that every trust will receive at least one of these analysers . Many larger hospitals might need more than one analyser. At my hospital trust, a Covid CT scanner arrived on the back of a lorry with next to no warning - I expect the same with these PCR analysers.
Cut today any which way, this has been a good day!
I’ve held since end March.
Have to say. A long wait for good news like this
Got to say I’m pretty disgusted at that sell off from 590.
How can the MCAP be less than revenue or nearly.
What’s going on? Profit taking? On that news?
A big pharma could snap this up offering 3 or 4 tomes sp and cost them nothing.
It ain’t going to happen.
It was a long wait for that news. I cannot he the only one to be deflated.
If it finishes over 6 on Friday I’ll take that.
I’m not sure how this can go lower on these figures.
Hi Trendz,
I hear your pain. Perhaps you should not try to 'day trade' and just 'buy and hold' - get the right share and it's the only guaranteed way to maximise profits. Odds are always against day-trading - the house (MMs) always win over time; too many advantages. If you buy and hold and tune in periodically, life and sleep are much better.
kindest regards
intrepid
There are 1,257 hospitals in the UK. The contract suggests that 1/4 hospitals will have one of these new machines to trial for 14 weeks and that if it goes well then 1000 hospitals might have one of these machines -perhaps the remaining 257 will have the nudge....
Running in tandem I think, although NCYT's kit does much greater volume and speed, so looks like all future kit will be NCYT. Could be they don't renew DNA s.
I made a promise to a family member that when we hit 500 I'd book a trip to Disneyland Paris, my profits today will more than pay for that little trip. Booking it tonight for next summer and hoping it will happen. By then I'm hoping we'll be worth about £10 a share. It was a great AGM, not a single bit of negative news anywhere. This will quickly recover.
Didn't the Govnt effectively sideline the DNA nudge test with todays NCYT contract?
Exactly Trendz the Gov isn't gonna keep chopping and changing after buy a min of 300 Novacyt machines. Our test is all but guaranteed to be in constant demand for the foreseeable future.
Dunno what's up with the dumbass price action but I totally believe it's nothing like before. This will be too tempting for the big guys to load up (if they're not already the reason to get in at a better price).
I’m ****ed of that I’m ****ed off! This morning at 7 am I was so happy (expecting 50-75 % plus open) and then I check this afternoon and we’re down to plus 8%. Genuinely my blood pressure went through the roof. Not been this annoyed for a while and need to go to the gym to release my anger. Logging off for a few days and hopefully common sense prevails and this rerates. See ya chaps
Don't be ****ed off Trendz mate, NCYT is possibly the best company in the world right now. The fundamentals WILL win out.
(Putting aside the fact that this contract will be worth half a billion) - 1000 PCR tests for the U.K. is nothing. Government will not want to keep chopping and changing testing tech and so we could be seeing 5000 more tests in a couple of months. I’m ****ed off today - really ****ed off
