Pelican , canary , soon to be a dodo ?
Hi Shaun, that Pelican site is hilarious. Methinks this load of bollux is going to end up as egg all over BA's face! lol
it reminded me of this test

What strikes me if this product was a viable one it would be used by everyone.
.manufacturing permitting. But it will not be b.a that o.ks this test it will be other bodies and I suspect a test that takes 25 seconds is not good enough when whole countries need to protect their borders.
It's not april the 1st..is it.
If Canary Global follows the logic of Novacyt shares their price will start its merry decline to be worth fark all in a few months time. Makes no difference if you have found the best test in the world, as we have all found out. Nothing matters it seems.
I must admit I had to laugh out loud at that 13:18 post , don’t worry young vanv your uncle wouldn’t advise you to put your hard earned £100 in a company that is in trouble and you’d investment will be worth multiples of that in the next few years . He knows what he’s talking about ( most of the time ) ;)
I see that VanVsNephew has got the four other deramping R soles in his boiler room to like his post lol
Sounds like one of the *****'s that people made buy in.
I do not view this as a threat to either Ncyt , Avct or anyone who produces a quality LFT. The fact you have to be at the airport hours before your flight means it is irrelevant whether you take a 5 min test or a 15 min test .
Temuchin - very valid questions.
Also, and appears to contradict their other statements -
'*this product is pending regulatory review and is not yet currently available for sale' on their EU page at
https://www.pelicancovidtest.com/eu/home/
Shear - true, unfortunately.
But I wonder how many press releases Nova have ever issued!!
I bet the BBC wouldn't have picked up on it if it had been a Primerdesign product ;)
BBC have picked up on it in their 'Live' blog -

British Airways has announced it will be the world's first airline to trial a coronavirus test which produces results within 25 seconds.
The pilot scheme will see flight and cabin crew taking a Pelican Covid-19 antigen test from medical tech company Canary Global.
Results will be compared against their standard test results.
British Airways chief executive Sean Doyle described the test as a "gamechanger" and said the airline would explore what role it could play in customer testing after the trial with flight and cabin crew.
"As we start to see the opening up of travel we remain committed to exploring easy and affordable testing solutions to help our customers travel again, whether it's for business, to reunite with family and friends or take a much-needed break abroad," he said.
I'm sure Graham is in the game:
From our RNS 24th Feb 2021:
Successful implementation of saliva testing of AstraZeneca staff using the genesig® COVID-19 assay
In early 2020, AstraZeneca set up an internal programme of voluntary SARS-CoV-2 testing for asymptomatic employees in the UK and Sweden using Novacyt's genesig® COVID-19 test. By February 2021, approximately 70,000 SARS-CoV-2 PCR tests had been completed within AstraZeneca's internal global testing centres, of which 54,000 are based on saliva swabs. Following the introduction of saliva testing, adoption by employees increased approximately four-fold and over 90% of 1,062 employees surveyed expressed a preference for the change from the typical oropharyngeal (throat) or nasopharyngeal (nasal) swabs. The study highlights the 90% uptake of saliva testing for asymptomatic patients and the excellent detection rates of 0.33 copies of whole viral genome RNA/µL, sensitivity of =95% and 100% specificity.9 These result shows how PCR testing can be used for asymptomatic mass-testing.
Well one possibility is that IT-IS has bought a licence, and that is what the vacancies are all about! - Laughing out loud :-)
@b2h, most likely because they need to scale up manufacturing, source materials, check whether it works with multiple different variants etc etc. A bit look Virolens that TT Electronics were involved in last year, nothing is ever as straightforward as is made out in press releases...
Added some more this morning around the 3.75 mark, it defies logic that we are back at the same levels as three weeks ago, but that's the market for you. For some context, we were at £3.45 last August, which was before variants were even a thing, before the DHSC contract and before another £287m of revenue had been booked! (£214m H2 20, £72m Q1 21), yet the market cap sits just £20m above what it was back then... amazing.
GM and his team will have to get onto this as we are in an instant world. He just needs to match it soon!!

seems to have went under the radar. myself included
I can’t comment on that apart from the fact it’s a fast result. Can we match or beat that?
Why has there been so little news on usage of this device since launch in Mid-March 2021?
Here’s some Canary Global info.
