"It is important to be prepared for a potentially very significant wave of infections with associated hospitalisations now, ahead of data being available."
They say that the earlier measures to reduce transmission are introduced, the stronger they are and the wider their geographical coverage, the more effective they will be.
"The situation could develop quickly over the coming weeks and decision makers may need to act while there is a high level of uncertainty including the potential need for stringent response measures," they say.
As at now, the FTSE is flying business as usual, travel stocks will be going up next and we wait to see if the DJ is the same later this afternoon and this supports the shorts here and the mark down.
Covid, what Covid, probably just a mild cold anyhow... all looking forward to a merry xmas, Christmas parties....
Masks narr, why bother doesn't protect you anyway,,, I have the vaccine, lets just party, mines a double...
Meanwhile, in the background we are setting ourselves up yet again. Doing the same things and expecting a different result. Party now and tears in the new year. But irrespective of that, fundamentals here are solid, PCR testing is on the increase and moreover revenues at NCYT will be climbing as a result. The SP should be rallying NOT falling but it is what it is,
Irrespective of the SP today, we at least know that revenues will be climbing so end of year results should be solid. We are only one of seven PCR tests authorised in the UK so can't go far wrong frankly.
See what this afternoon brings.... stay safe
Just to add re: Pea****
Birds are sensitive indicators of the environment.
A sort of ecological litmus paper.
Of course any question constructed with "Can you rule out...?" provides the lowest possible chance of an answer you don't want. Linguistics at work my friends...
I'm hoping that Omicron is VERY infectious and VERY mild. Then it can take fire around the world training everyone's immune systems to deal with the more dangerous variants. Like a self-replicating, self-distributing vaccine, only one that doesn't take global pharma corps months to develop. Wouldn't that be a wonderful outcome...?
You can't "rule it out" can you...?
Sharon Pea**** on the threat of Variants . Writes specifically about how crucial PCR testing is

This really is frustrating… £1 down already from the high. Well done to those who traded it and made some money.
Unfortunately I wasn’t one of them on this occasion, greed got the better of me!
Waiting for the next rise now….
Mumbait airport now requires negative pcr to fly too. I would assume virtually every country will require PCR for travel now. How we aren't £7-8 at the moment I have no idea
There's been a narrative pushed all weekend that omicron is somehow milder based on nothing more than an anecdotal statement by 1 doctor. It's been pushed hard on the financial sites, the market is getting ready to dump and the first hospitalizations due to omicron in Europe will likely trigger it.
You don't get hospitalized as soon as you develop symptoms it takes days for complications to set in.
Is it possible that the virus could mutate to be more benign, yes but it's unlikely so early after it's introduction to humans. Many diseases never become less dangerous, there's no ebola lite.
Besides, deltais still wreaking havoc in Europe.
I retweeted via a tweeter called Bmh before Porky posted you fool. No desperation been here 20 months , more then happy longterm , day 2 day Sp fluctuations don't phase me nor do lowlife like you.
Whether Omicron variant turns out to be a runny nose or lung failure, the cretins that are hanging around the board over the last week or so don't do it to crap companys.
They know there is short term small gains - good for them.
If they knew what the company has going on, they would see that they could get better returns than just weekend Wetherspoons money.
Each to their own.
Desperate NCYT holders LOL....
No desperate situations, just desperate people ?
I am retweeting it
LMAO
what desperation
Ammu123 the virus is the virus. I make my investment choices based on the science, not what some plonker on an investment forum believes is going to happen, even when the science suggests otherwise.
Good luck. You will need it.
Why the desperation lol
It is drip feed @Kaeren. Nation cannot handle too much bad news at once, it has to come out gradually.
Day 2 and Day 8 coming for sure.
Just retweeted that and THEY are the experts and Sage pushing for predeparture PCR and day 8 .
Porky luv
You know where this is heading don’t you?
Please be careful
xx
