Might be all that but today's catalyst is likely TME getting stripped of all it's China exclusivity. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-57966023
Really good news for TME competitors, especially us that are v active in Japan/Singapore etc. Clear to see the smart money piling in. Gla
Huumm.. Dont think so lol
125 - Yep it was me lol
The 125k was a buy... Facr
some very unusuallymatching large,trade transaction....going on .
So many reasons - but it all probably boils down to how much it's fallen.
A share that's down 80% since the start of the year needs to make a 500% gain to get back to where it was - even more if you go back further.
So a 20% gain from such a small starting point is only a 4% gain relative to it's price in Jan.
Who's buying ?? - Well I increased my holdings by 150% in July alone - I'm sure I'm not alone.
Besides, anyone who hasn't already sold, or anyone who has recently bought isn't going to sell this low down - lack of sell orders on the book means it won't take much buying pressure to move it considerably higher - at least until the short term profit takers decide to join the party. For longer term investors I'd suggest a 5x or 10x gain might tempt them, but otherwise they'll be back in 5-10 years is more likely.
Rbbe, just so you know, I keep detailed reasoning for my investments, which I review regularly. The points below help keep things in perspective. I regard Napster as a long term investment, albeit with risk. Keeping one's eye on the long game prevents irrational, spontaneous investment mistakes occurring. That's my view anyway. Nothing I put down should be regarded as advice, bust my personal opinion. Regards.
Rbbe, I have no idea as to the identity of the buyers. However I would assume that any substantial holders making purchases (or sales) beyond the reporting limits would be announced in the usual way.
You missed off a placing. Shares always seem to go up for no reason when a placing is around the corner, nothing dodgy there though, AIM is such a well respected market.
PS. I should have added that it wasn’t the Directors (as it should have been) otherwise we would have been told.
Thank you. That was a very comprehensive list. What puzzles me is that we have had some very big sells - particularly when N and G were manipulating the market and the sp went down and then drifted further so that they fell by much more than 20% but over a few weeks. Your list gives very good reasons why the shares should be bought but who bought in the quantities to lift them by 20% in a day?
POSSIBLE reasons for turn around yesterday, in no order of importance...
1. Selling exhausted. Anyone who wanted to sell has done so.
2. Forced selling finished (leveraged holders being sold out as stop loss initiated).
3. Expectation that N&G may convert the remaining CLNs to shares between now and AGM 12 Aug.
4. Share price fallen below level the CLN bears had predicted. It has been oversold.
5. A few taking the view all the "bad news" is priced in.
6. Expectations of £500m/£600m revenue company mispriced (to the tune of 10x)
7. Time line more visible:
A. AGM 12 Aug
B. 1H21 results before 30 Sept
C. App release, 4Q
D. Any new or extended B2B deals
E. Any new telecom agreements
Just an opinion.
No share gains 20% in a day without a reason. What was that reason yesterday?
