After working out my smallish loss on the shares I’ve sold to reduce and moving that across to my remaining holding I’m working on an average of 274p but like I say happy now to hold long term
I’ve reduced to an amount I’m comfortable to hold long term so from my point of view it would be nice to see the SP pick up but I’m not overly worried if it drops back.
Then do what you feel is best, I'm holding
British bulls are also saying to stay short
The ADVFN crew are quoting price of £1.55 after results. I'm holding but not confident at all.
Dogger, I might state the obvious and I think someone already gave you the same response. You have got 3 main options: 1- Sell the whole lot and take the hit 2 - Stay and take the risk, could indeed drop much further it is everyone's guess 3 - sell some and keep some at least you will have something left. If you do not need the funds for x amount of years invest it in a solid company which pays regular dividends. If however you have borrowed heavily against this and need to repay well can not really say ............ This is ultimately an anonymous forum, if Metro goes bust (very doubt that would happen, all it is remaining is the FCA response or the economy really going badly, in which case everyone would be in the same boat). Ultimately it is your money at risk, try to remember what made you put the money into Metro in the first place? can not have been a dog's owner telling you it is a good bank based on dog'sbiscuit. The bank is expanding at a reasonable rate, deposits are increasing, it is winning customers and feedback are positives. They made mega mistakes which are still investigated etc and a few other issues which would be looked at and could have an impact on q3.
IMO that telegraph article shows how bad and desperate the media is to find anything bad on MTRO. 30K, not sure hill will notice that after what has happened this year, but the media just want to portray him as greedy.
Relax and flipping hold... get a Chairman in place by the end of the year / FCA fine is already accounted for, to the tune of up to 100 mil...... then Happy Days :-)
Guys will we be ok here? Massively down to the tune of £35k and don't know where to turn.
Predictions ???
Sure I spotted a local fair - give me chance to pop down and chek any old gypsies with a crystal ball.
See if I can get back with an answer and without a Dag.
Predictions - yeah
My view is that the SP will see a rally in the SP tomorrow and Tuesday, pre results - there is multiple gaps and if you are a chartist the £2.50/60 range could see a massive upswing. I do believe that this week should see a massive re-rating of the stock and I think a few shorters will be booking some profits.
that is exactly what I was thinking.... there might be another tree shake but ultimately it is pretty much all ready now. Possibly SP would go to 185 but yup good results and back to 230 which would not be good for long term .....
I really hope I’m wrong with this really seriously hope I’m wrong but I can see this dropping mon, tue and Wednesday not huge amounts say 4p or so each day then the results will be good much fanfare and we rise back to the 220-240 area which does much of us no good at all then we will get the inevitable profit taking and backsliding to the low 200s. Like I said I hope I’m wrong!
It can't drop, that would be very naughty
On the inside MTRO is behaving much like it plans on developing and surviving for the long term. If you had line of sight to thinks like parties they procure from, hire from, open up APIs to, and so on, you wouldn't be looking at this as a potential calamity. Much more to this picture than most people can see.
That's a strange time....
As I understand results will be announced at 5.30 PM our time on Wednesday. So share price reaction should be for Thursday not Wed !
Wednesday is an event. If you are long MTRO and it drops by more; does Wednesday really fundamentally change anything?
Then you need to ask yourself, are you long on the price, or long on the fundamentals.
Wednesday ? ... prob up on decent results. In between now and Wednesday .... lord knows!
Come on then holders. Let's have your predictions for the SP on wednesday. Are we going to open up or down. I can't call it personally. I've got a horrible feeling we will drop but would love to be proved wrong
