We paid £5m for the remaining 51% of HyProMag
Surely we didn't get swindled by a University!
Placing at 5p or below would actually confirm to be the case
This is how laughable it has become (in a painful way)
I am not saying it WONT go lower btw, I am just saying mentioning 4-5p, even if you despise this company, you have to realise that is such a ludicrous, downright insane valuation and even the biggest deramper and non-believers would be piling in at 4p.
If I am Cotec right now I am rubbing my hands.
Cotec has ordered 3 reactors for the US paid for with their own money... that pretty much tells you they are confident of going commercial in the US in 2025... funding can come from other places than a bucket 'placing' ...There will be interested industry players who could well come in to partner as was the webinar stated plan
Ipa, I am talking about the value of the company. as a public pre revenue company the only way to measure the value of the company is by its market cap. yes they have assets and intellectual property, but they do not have any revenue stream. so as the share price dwindles to almost nothing, so does the value of the company
AVCT placing has certainly not helped the situation. That said the BoD are the only people with the insight as to the state of funds. The market has been tough for some time and they could have raised higher a few months ago. Im not expecing the next quarter update any time soon as its the company's 12 month year end.

Rutile Results15 Feb 2024 10:28
Not invested here at the moment but I cannot see any communication from the Board regarding the results of the rutile samples that were sent for analysis in Dec 2020.
Not invested. Negative bias. Nothing of note posted. Filtered.
They aren't starting over lol huge progress has been made in the last 2 years... The company is in a prime position to go commercial and be the perfect EU CRMA complete REE solution... Will Dawes is booked to present in March at an industry event...
Maple - what, you mean starting over but with a rare earth magnet recycling facility in Birmingham and setting up at least 3 more across 2 continents?
Lol yeah. sounds like starting over.
Nice try
We are swimming in very dangerous waters here. they could lose the entire company at this price. 12 years in and they are essentially starting over
Looks to me like pi's selling out at a loss of fear grips... we will surely find out but this company will likely be commercial by H2 in UK and in EU and US in 2025 ... my only gripe would be if we give up more HyproMag ...
Roty - lol that old chestnut "I hope i am wrong". yes, yes, you are. It looks nothing like forward selling of placing shares. Check out the L2 of hemo that last 3 weeks and you will see the difference. all the forward selling at as unknowns and not as buy/sell.
Looks to me like forward selling of placement shares. I hope I am wrong as there are big placement discounts going on atm. Placing price could be sub 4p or less. Ouch
Yeah but two other of my holdings have recently raised above their SPs -BRES and FCM although you would never guess it from their price movements so I think the market is just plain broken... the lack of communication here since the now ancient webinar means no one knows where we are at with regards to funding so the fear kicks in especially due to the likes of the AVCT rising debacle ... maybe that Myles is the link :)
FWIW, I'm comfortable at just about any price - 5 weeks until 2024/2025 - I dare say the spivs have it all lined up as per ...
There was a deramper on here who said 5.5p and I almost posted (it was 8p) at the time saying you cant be serious with that prediction, yet here we are.
The issue with the deramper provided no logic, so likely a lucky guess, yet there were tons of logic for supporting the price at 8p+, yet here we are. So to that deramper, Kudos.
On the note of Mkango, the Avacta fallout has clearly accelerate a movement away from anything that might need cash, and possibly any company that is pre-revenue. Avacta was a retail favourite, so the message has reached all corners of the market now.
The market will believe if Avacta, a retail favourite can place at such a whopping discount, then no company is safe from the institutions.
This is the biggest test our board have faced in their tenure, do they cave to the market and conduct a placing at what would now likely be 5p or lower, or do they find a way to create even more shrewd value, in which they have done many times before.
I believe in the Bod, we have good partners in Cotec who have funds available, but this is a very tough market and anything can happen.
Do we even need to fund? I am sure we will find out soon once the Q update is released.
Tough times, but better days lie ahead for this company, we are far from the finished article albeit we must navigate this storm.
The 2.75p covid lows aren't even that far off, which gives you an idea of how crazy the current valuation is. True panic has now gripped the market, only the strong and the brave will survive.
Into March tomoroow and still the radio silenec continues. The lack of engagement is destroying the sp.
LewisW - last quarterly was 30th November for quarter ending 30th September so yes I would say you are right. Today or tomorrow pre open.
Really extremely low now @ £15m - I'm expecting something to turn up "soon".
Aren't the qtr ending Dec 23 due today? Expect RNS next week imho.
Gotta ask yourself is this business worth more than the ridiculous 12mill mcap.
Absolutely. Even with no MDA all day long.
The small sells the mms use to manipulate this as they have done for years don't interest me. Intrigued by the 250k type of trades though.
Time for dawes to at least get out of bed and wash his face. completely ridiculous at this point
There's nothing wrong with RE's themselves, its the way in which they are processed / mined
If there was a replacement compound or element, id be more nervous
Ferrite has been touted as a potential replacement, however it doesn't come close to the performance of Nd magnets
A recycled NdFeB magnet trumps all other sources, because its 100% environmentally friendly, removes a waste liability in the process (landfill) and allows companies to say their products are made from 100% environmentally friendly, domestic sources.
There would be no Q about choosing RE's if they weren't difficult to mine in a friendly manner, although a lot of mines outside of China only have 30% of the environmental damage of some of the Chinese mines.
Recycling is the biggest threat to mining, which makes you wonder how this will all play out.
Indeed. The leading experts in all this at Brum Uni and Hypromag for example think RE magnets is the way forward and aren't going away any time soon. That's good enough for me.
Yeah these Niron magnets are not new but obviously the tech has advanced guess what REE 🧲 magnets tech is also always advancing....There will be a market for alternatives but from my research they certainly will not replace REE magnets and indeed for the next decade plus REE magnets will dominate...HyproMags prof Walton is the man when it comes to all this
