Absolutely no chance Mongolia will allow Chinese companies to buy/control PM.
Their whole strategy at the moment is geared towards energy independence from China and Russia.
Mike Buck has always stated that Mongolia would like to become a producer of oil rather than an importer. For that reason I think that the Heron prize will remain in-country. PetroChina are hugely supportive of MATD and if we are in the Heron kitchen then the 34% uplift today will be minuscule compared to future gains.
I see a higher price revision coming up by Zak either this Friday or next week Bulletin board heroes
Good day here guys. More to come.
Momentum is back in MATD.
I did not think we would break past 5p today, but with strong momentum a lot can happen pretty fast.
EL is coming with any doubt.
I have inked 15-20p for this year as minimum. Could go even higher.
Imagine if Petrochina did!! ... £££
What would happen? We immediately get our shares bought or they just transfer to them?
You may be right Bigbench, PetroChina may swallow Matd and let us hope for reasonable offer!
With 2bln barrels up for grabs they would have no problems attracting a major on farmin terms... but my guess is petrol china has swallowed us up by then
Correction “ someone” ( no idea who Simone is )
Just seen those chunky buys at the end of the day that’s Simone who knows a bit ....
Everyman has their price....might not be in his plans right now but every CEO must look at the interests of the company & Shareholders.... I wonder how many here would take 20p tomorrow and walk away .... Or possible £1 at Christmas??
Cheers Jim - whilst I think Mike is a good guy ( lord knows my patience was tested on some of of those lacklustre investor calls) I wonder if a cheeky bid by the local oil major may get the nod from the board and a nice pay off to Mike for retirement ( to be fair at least he has bagged us Heron which was more than the shysters before him ) just a funny gut feeling I have Keats had that we would be taken out well before we start pumping oil. Obviously I had hoped that would be north of £1.80 where I purchased one of my chunks ! Very best of luck all will have to pay more attention to this now
Access to pump proven 2bln barrels....all that for a £35M Macap.... If we said X10 for that is still way to cheap.... Mike & the team are on the way to something truly transformational here and im delighted to be in at this level..still got some at higher price which are currently underwater but not for much longer... I'm just scouting through my portfolio seeing what to chop in..I would like another 3 -400k of these tucked away. MM's be nice and don't raise the price to quickly il need a few days!!
MrDexter, The way I see it, PetroChina have been very helpful in that they gave us plenty of information regarding the area of PM's discovery, letting us use their infrastructure once oil is brought to surface and are willing to let us use there drillers as they can do it a lot cheaper, something like 1 mil per well. I also believe that once the refinery is up and running oil from there section will also go to the Mongolian refinery. All looking very promising. GLA
Thanks for your lengthy explanation Jim ??
Just want to get this in before anyone else:
Wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend.
No
Anyone think petrochina may try and take us out ?
With the climb again into the close it looks good for the morning...wouldn't be surprised to see another 20%+ tomorrow and the MM's are clearly running short of stock here and sellers will have to be tempted with a seriously attractive figure to sell any!....another spike to 40% wouldn't surprise me before Friday.
Zak's 8.5- 9p doesn't look all that far away now if you look at it.....
Welcome to have some of mine at 10-12p..........then some more at 25p and finally last few at 40-60p
ZERO spread... 100% sure they need our shares
