''people don't know the difference and I've heard people calling it/comparing it to flu ''
So many stupid people around - as in 'same symptoms, must be same'
Get a painful foot - could be many causes.
Get pain in chest - various causes.
Grapes and tomatoes are both fruit, but most people would know the difference.
The UK stock market is firmly back on the radar of many big global investors after years of being shunned - so are British investors set to race ahead?

A human body predominantly suffers from 3 major deformities
- Uncontrolled cell mutation (commonly known as cancer)
- Virus induced such as flu, Covid
- Bacteria based such as TB which again infects the chest and respiratory
Antibiotics do not work on virus based diseases such as flu, covid, etc They can only be controlled by increased immunity.
A variant is nothing more than the latest MS Office version with some advanced features. In the case of variant the virus which is still a virus becomes resistant to the existing medication.
LTI, I am not an expert in anything but just sharing what I know.
Good night all

You have come to a dead end with nowhere to go and so the ''Totally clueless i would say''
Flu is an influenza virus - Covid 19 is a Corona virus ( Cov ) as were Sars and Mers
DO YOU UNDERSTAND?
Nash
I said science is learning all the time.
Apparently the symptoms you have outlined , I have heard have now changed with the variant
first detected in India (Delta variant) with symptoms like a cold
Long
Please don'say anything more . .
You are more stupid than I originally thought
!
Totally clueless i would say
COVID-19 is a disease caused by a virus called SARS-CoV-2.
The virus that causes COVID-19 appears to spread more efficiently than influenza but not as efficiently as measles, which is among the most contagious viruses known to affect people.
The typical symptoms of COVID-19 are more similar to the flu (fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, fatigue) than the common cold (runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, cough, congestion, slight body aches, mild headache, sneezing, low-grade fever.

''covid will be known as a nondeadly flu virus SOON''
and YET AGAIN.
Flu is an influenza virus - Covid 19 is a Corona virus
Understand?
Long
I can't teach a stupid ediot like you who knows nothing
What is the definition of flu?
Flu is a common infection that can easily spread to other people.
What is covid you ediot ?
It is a infectious virus which can spread fast
It is a virus like flu you ediot
So if you are so stupid not understanding simple facts what a hell you are here doing investment?
Not sure why Falky being so kind to call you a respected poster,!!! He is very kind towards you,
I never noted your posts before and i didn't know we have a lunetic here posting ! Just found one,
Nash
Science is learning more about Covid 19 as time passes, and therefore hope that vaccines and new treatments that come along will greatly improve the situation for the world in the future.
Nash
Very good post mate
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Yes; single jab will be very common shortly and they are talk among scientists of how to extend the effect to longer and longer time and with boosters vaccines seal the deal.
Even effective new tablets are being developed for the cases when you catch the virus and how they can reduce the chance of virus developing inside your body and kill them quickly and stopping the spread.
So yes, covid will be known as a nondeadly flu virus SOON
Thanks

You have done it again.
Get it into your thick head COViD 19 has NOTHING to do with Flu.
LTI
Yes Covid vaccines
He was stating there are lot of Covid vaccines and treatments at an advanced stage. To name a few
- single jab Covid vaccine (being developed by J&J)
- ENT spray targeting nasal and throat similar to asthma spray (UK Based company)
- MRNA vaccines (even for cancer treatments) - being developed by Moderna, Gilead
I am just expressing my info and in no way am I suggesting somebody is right or wrong.
I have also lost 20 members within my close family and friends in the last 6 months. I understand the pain, grief and anger towards mismanagement by the Govt on a global scale.

Covid 19 vaccines

The only ediot here is you, mate
Sorry for my fast typing and my autocorrect letting me down which I noted after posting
Here is corrections just for you
The 3rd waves of Ffu like disease
''Just like a common flu that people catch every year''
And if you think the statment itself is not good then you are the true ediot just like this stupid govement who put someone like Chris Whitty in charge of Covid, a obssessed attention seaker who have been criticised by his close colleagues
The same guy who messed it up right at the beginning for all of us suggesting masks will do nothing !! What a ediot he is just like you.
Sorry I have to be harsh to ediots, when I see one.

Falk
''chill mate, why the aggression and rudness?''
Why do you think?
I get sick and tired of people comparing Covid 19 to Flu.
Over 128,000 deaths JUST in this country with my brother being one of the early victims.
So forgive me for not being 'chilled out'.
Nash
'' approval and roll out would have taken a good 10 years.''
This is why some stupid people think the Covid 19 are going to do them harm - not fully tested.
These people are living in the past and don't think things can now be speeded up with new technologies.
''We have also not been able to develop any antibiotics since late 1980's''
It hasn't been a question of not being able to. It has been uneconomic for the pharmaceutical industry to do so.
A very good post Stockready1
I agree the development of vaccines has been phenomenal.
I was speaking to one of the pharmacy analyst who was of the view that next few years would see lot of sensational breakthroughs in medicine. He was stating there are lot of Covid vaccines and treatments at an advanced stage. To name a few
- single jab vaccine
- ENT spray targetting nasal and throat similar to asthma spray
- MRNA vaccines (even for cancer treatments)
The only downside to all these developments is the effectiveness against the new variants. Hopefully the enhanced treatment procedures would make this less life threatening.
In my opinion the speed of development of vaccine has been very commendable. In not so distant past a vaccine development, approval and roll out would have taken a good 10 years.
We have also not been able to develop any antibiotics since late 1980's.

''The 3rd wave of Flu like dease''
''Just like a commin flu that people catch every year''
Don't be an idiot.
Hollybean
The 3rd wave of Flu like dease, yes
Just like a commin flu that people catch every year and some people even die sadly
There will be 3rd, 4th, 5th and may be even 100th wave if they want to stupidly keep counting them BUT we never see the hospitalisation like we saw before that is what good scientists believe will happen.
So 3rd wave mean nothing this time and everything runs as same state as now it is now if not better.
The advance vaccine with long protections are coming
I have couple of friends working for GSK and they telling me supper vaccine (including GSK one) will put a big break for longer on virus
the current vaccines are almost 98% protects you against the hospitalisations (2 jabs)... not sure people really realise how effective the vaccines have been and will be for years to come.
So it is all looking very promising and people should start believing that and get on with their life if this stupid goverment let them.
make sure you buy into GSK you will not regret it.
I said that 2 months ago to people here and in RR.
