"Change the record, it’s boring. If you miss the EU so much, go and move there instead of whingeing on here please."
You have the ability to shape the narrative and "change the record" by simply participating in conversation. If you are struggling to actually explain any of your beliefs, then perhaps you might want to re-examine them?
Mach,
Change the record, it’s boring. If you miss the EU so much, go and move there instead of whingeing on here please.
"You ought to start respecting democracy. It might help you get over your evident bitterness in your posts."
Since when does talking about something mean not respecting democracy? It's a conversation on a forum, we aren't rioting in the street. When you start framing asking questions as bad, then you are the one not respecting democracy.
Secondly, when we are still dealing with the ramifications of the vote (and will do for decades to come) there is absolutely no point sticking your head in the sand and pretending the elephant in the room isn't there. You made a choice, own it. If you are so confident in the choice you made, you should be able to clearly explain some of the benefits.
Onions to them!!,comon Lloyds show them the way!!!....and treat your shareholders
" God hates me" loser
No Mach,
We don't bother bringing it up constantly because it was a done deal at the ballot box a bit like the Scottish referendum. You ought to start respecting democracy. It might help you get over your evident bitterness in your posts.

"Analysts estimates for 2022 FY earnings are less than 2021 FY earnings, so BOD could potentially elect to freeze dividend at last years level"
Agreed, this is a previously announced scenario that seems very likely to occur.

"weird argument against independence that there is no clear answer to what currency we'd use"
It is a question that would presumably arise, if I am right in believing Scotland is pro-independence and pro-EU? Im not sure they could go straight into EU until sterling was replaced with a new currency and taxation system. It's not an argument against independence, but a question about what would enable it.
" God hates me and my investments "
Hooky pragmatic and proportionate by Keir.
CBI fed him the fatberg of red tape line. It's spot on irony is there is more to come and we were told the EU was too burocratic !!
No wish to rejoin just have a more proportionate and pragmatic trading regime for UK business and we won't get it with Boris. Some other Tories yes BJ no.
starmer is not rejoining if he gets in power
Mach..im not fixated on the currency issue...just curious why no pro independence supporters can ever give me an answer...its strange....after all they've had 8 years since the last one to think about it...im surprised you've never heard it mentioned...
"no one can ever answer what currency Scotland would use ..can you ?"
It's a very weird argument against independence that there is no clear answer to what currency we'd use. I don't make that decision so no idea why you are asking me. I don't understand why you are particularly fixated on that issue, but to each their own.
You've had a tough time of it Mach...lost the Scottish independence referendum 2014..then brexit 2016...not looking good fir the next Scottish independence referendum...no one can ever answer what currency Scotland would use ..can you ?....its easy to see why your angry..you cannot believe why the majority don't agree with you....
"Us Brexiteers are quite happy not to mention the subject, quite smug in the knowledge that we made the right call in 2018."
LOL more like scared to bring it up since it's clear to everyone how f*cking stupid it was. "Not mentioning" it because there are zero tangible benefits to actually mention it, while study after study shows indisputable evidence that we shot ourselves in the foot. All so sad Little Englanders could say they got one over immigrants. No wonder no one brings it up.
I would hope its higher than 0.67p..like yourself iwas thinking 0.7 -0.72..
My estimate for interim was 0.7p, but should we really expect an increase from last years 0.67p? Progressive dividend policy states:
"A progressive dividend policy is one where the dividend is expected to rise at least in line with increases in earnings per share. However, if earnings per share falls, the dividend will not be reduced".
Analysts estimates for 2022 FY earnings are less than 2021 FY earnings, so BOD could potentially elect to freeze dividend at last years level based on that. And it is worth noting that some, but not all, of the American Banks have already announced they will freeze this years dividend at last years level.

''and the possibility of more buybacks announced at the current sp level''
it would be a sensible thing to do and a welcome surprise, but the bank have yet to announce a new investment in the shares at an half year stage.
Wow...seems to be quite a few bitter and twisted people about....6 years you'd think they would of got over it....looking forward to see what the interim divi will be and the possibility of more buybacks announced at the current sp level...gla
"...you will be feeling the financial impact of leaving the EU for decades to come"...
To be fair, UK average GDP growth before joining the EEC-EU was +3% per year. After joining, in the next five decades, it slumped to an average of just +2% per year. Joining the EEC-EU caused UK growth to decline.
Minnie and Wanderington,
I don't know how often you visit this BB but you seem to be a little out of touch. It's the Remoaners who persistently post their vitriolic, bitter diatribe on here constantly, blaming Brexit for everything including the weather.
Us Brexiteers are quite happy not to mention the subject, quite smug in the knowledge that we made the right call in 2018.
MV - Financial gains/losses are open for debate. You could be correct, the UK was a financial loser as an EU member. I don't know. What I and my family have lost is the free movement and right to live and work in some of the most beautiful parts of the world. I used to frequently fly back to the UK from Japan. JAL would fly across Siberia, arriving in European air space via the Baltic. At that point, I felt I was home. My children lived, travelled freely and worked in Europe. This all changed when we finally left the EU. Our horizons suddenly shrank. We left, that's fine, but the sense of loss at the time was great. My children still carry a lot of anger.
Minniethemouse.
You are part of the generation who invented work are you, let me know at what age you began this new adventure.
And I would point out that the ones like myself, who are now not allowed to comment on certain things because it upsets the weak mental constitution of pathetic people like yourself, contributed to the EU in all its forms for 40 years. Around £400 billion, we contributed to the EU, so show me the value that we got in return.
Minnie - Why don't you filter those who have absolutely nothing to say or are just plain silly. I'd never filter anyone just because I disagreed with them, but some are a waste of time. They generate fruitless argument, then eventually and frequently resort to personal insult. Just filter the continuous offenders.
More than six years after the EU Referendum Britain remains as divided as ever on the question of the UKs membership of the EU.
However Economists from both sides of the argument are in agreement, Brexit has caused damage to the UK economy.
