lots of very interesting information, I guess as our market cap increases, then so do the chances of us becoming part of one of these, or will we be bought over before that, only time will tell.
Thank you for all the work you have put in on this.
Have a good weekend

* find us too small
Sausage fingers !!
Right. I’ve looked at the top ten holdings of 22 “uk small cap” / AIM / Microcap funds and ITs. For each I chose an average of three companies either because they were #10 or I’d never heard of them or they just sounded cute and small. Not scientific at all !!!
The starting point market cap for the great majority was around £200m but bear in mind these caps could’ve grown muchly and may have started much smaller or much bigger, I just can’t tell. Exceptions I found nearer our cap of £39m were:
TM Stonehage AIM ... includes Ince Group £57m and Netcall £104m
Marlborough Nano Cap ... D4T4 £131m, Agronomics £132m and Access Intelligence £110m
Liontrust UK Micro ... Gateley £211m, Pebble £241m and Fonix Mobile £180m
Premier Miton UK Smaller ... In The Style £121m
Threadneedle UK Smaller ... 1Spatial £49m
Unicorn UK Smaller ... Braemar Shipping £68m
Draw your own conclusions from all that but some of the more micro/nano funds might not fund us too small. What other criteria they have I do not know. Financial health and growing revenues must be key, plus strength of management and governance i would think.
Cheers!
I have seen on other shares that there tends to be an announcement of intention by the ETF to purchase a specified amount of shares at a certain time, usually a few weeks in advance of the actual purchase, which usually has a very positive impact.
These ETF's when managed correctly do not tend to dump shares, think the Woodford debacle, was a very unfortunate episode.
Think this would have a very positive impact on share price as we do not have a lot of shares in issue, even less free ones available to purchase as lots of long term holders here with very sticky hands, who see this share moving up many multiples from here, myself included.
This is all very hypothetical at the moment, but worth taking serious notice of, as our market cap increases and our green IP protected credentials spread far and wide, then institutional investors will want a piece of the cake.
As you can probably guess I am very positive on this share, but then again so are many many others and the numbers are growing.
Have an investments in one of your selections and am monitoring the other, should really get a real job lol.
Heres to the possibility of some news on further progress before the end of the month.

Cheers for the welcome. I was a long time lurker! Sadly I have no real expertise on funds and their effect on SPs. Any extra demand for shares can only be positive though. Until they sell out quickly as Woody had to do of course!
Some funds may already be holders as often they only publish their top 10 holdings. So we might be held as the 11th or 49th biggest holding or whatever.
I assume it’s the same for ITs?
Of course the higher our Cap, the higher up the order of holdings we go, assuming we’re in any ??? yet, hence one month a factsheet will suddenly have us in at number 9 or 10 or whatever. Especially if they buy more shares when we hit official profitability, as financial health must be a major factor as well. Remember we’ve already sought more funding quite recently ... which probably counts against our inclusion.
I’ll do some more digging into similar funds when I get chance.
Oh and yes I have a few Angle and Ethernity shares nowadays ??
Hi Eyesofblue
Excellent posts, thank you for supplying the information below, make interesting reading.
In your view, would it enhance our profile, be a positive, to be involved in one of these?
We have the IP group as a shareholder, what is the difference between them and an ETF?
These are very exciting times, and I guess the opportunities are many and varied for us.
I have a very small amount of experience in these things, so really appreciate the words of wisdom and expertise of those who have knowledge of such things.
With all that is happening as regards the amount of products and wide reaching sectors we are involved in, the production side of the business must be going like a train to keep up.
Onwards and upwards, think that after a bit of top slicing yesterday, we will have a flurry of old and new investors eager to grab a share of this company (pun intended lol)

The TM Stonehage Fleming AIM fund Feb factsheet reveals some of their new investments and those recently closed. Our mkt cap seems much smaller than those selected for inclusion. Interesting though!
We had reasonable liquidity having sold our interest in Scapa at the end of the previous month following a takeover approach and also sold the remainder of our holding in AssetCo where the potential looked to have been achieved. I’ve added market caps in brackets, for guidance.
We started a new holding in Breedon Group (£1.6b) which produces a large number of aggregates, asphalt and concrete and is seeing a robust recovery in demand for products. Other new holdings included Watkin Jones (£590m) (rental property and student accommodation developer) and Secure Income (£1.2b) (leisure property investment and development) which we have held in the past. Purplebricks (£337m) is the other new holding, which we have not held in the past. The online estate agent has reorganised itself in the last two years and is set for profitable growth.
Sorry I misread it (doh) it’s actually LESS THAN £175m, flippin eck I need more tea !! So no reason they wouldn’t include us in that case ??
Hi - my first post on here. I’ve held approx 300k shares since the 1-2p days and was one of the 3 who managed to sell a few (£2k ish) at 9.65p yesterday. Luck and judgement in equal measure! This may help answer the “fund/etf” question. We’re currently way too small for the Liontrust AIM fund. Not sure how typical their criteria are?
The Liontrust UK Micro Cap Fund only considers companies with market capitalisations of under £175 million for initial investment and will look to gradually exit holdings when they exceed £275 million, a level at which they appear on the radar of many more investors. This capital can then be recycled into new, smaller ideas and hopefully the process will repeat itself. As a result, most of the Fund’s successful stock picks will naturally outgrow the micro cap space (with many of them ‘graduating’ to other funds in the Economic Advantage range which have higher market cap boundaries).
Wow, nice start to the day again, think that word is starting to spread far and wide, just like our ingredients !!!!!
Thanks In-long for your detailed explanation, I have nothing to tie this into ITX, just whispers, which are totally unsubstantiated at the moment, I believe that such funds buy a good percentage of shares on initiation of such a move, would we have enough spare to satisfy and how big an effect would that have on the SP (another leap up?)
As I say was just looking to see if we would be a target and if so what the criteria was.
Thank you

AJP. OK, my amateur take on ITX finding it self selected for a green ETF would be vgood in as much that shot term institutional type investor see the merit of including this share in their portfolio of many types of investment sources. By the way if someone knows better correct me please. Good because it means they think that ITX is a serious potential and that this will add profit to there ETF and secondly because others will see that the big boys are starting to notice of this little asset. After that the big T1 and Private Investors and hopefully thereafter pensions institutions start taking notice. While the big pensions are becoming more interested in including what have been perceived to be more risky ETFs in their portfolios, which would be good also, they may be looking at say ITX as becoming an individual asset outside of the ETF that they are now interested in purchasing as part of say their mid/long term strategy. Saying that I can see this company quickly rising possibly beyond that ETF layer straight into other more mainstream investor portfolios....But this is just my unprofessional view and all must DYOR. One thing seems ceratin for this company if they keep all their success in house they are going to rise to withering heights...IMHO DYOR blah blah....
Where did you read that ITX was becoming or had the potential to be in an ETF? This is very interesting to say the least...
