Other Benzodiazepine medicines are available, of course DYOR.
Hey Tom,
Can I recommend getting some Xanax and perhaps some shares in Pfizer the makers of it? You never know you might just see things from a less irrational perspective and make some money as well as opposed to your failed investment in AZN. All in my humble opinion of course. Please DYOR, there are many counsellors out there
...first bid was in 2006 (just after foundation) actually.
Netflix’s Bridgerton is worth more than itv. We’ve lost the plot here, quality of productions need improvement. Facebook Ad revenue for the quarter was $28b...........think global and we might make a third of that in a year.
Remember the world/market values ITV at 106.5p per share tonight.
Add the usual 35% bid premium and we get 143.78p!
Possibly but that’s irrelevant.
It’s worth exactly what someone else will pay for it.
That’s why it needs to be competitive - at least one other bidder.
That bit is in the hands of the gods - so to speak.
Just IMO
I don’t believe ITV a management would walk away from any reasonable any bid but they will try to secure the highest possible.
But I don’t see any possible bid being any more than 145-155p at this point without some competition.
That would leave many PIs unhappy but sadly that won’t make much difference.
Rock, the vast content that ITV owns is worth 100p per share, minimum.
I would be very surprised if they don’t get a bid now - within weeks (sticking my head on the block now).
The interesting part is whether there will be any competitive bids.
That’s the only way to lift the offer price and I am sure ITV realise that.
If ITV are taking steps to defend a takeover bid I would think that the ITV board of directors are expecting a low-ball bid, in this case the BOD do right to defend itself. I believe any bid less than the valuation of all parts of ITV, said to be 192p per share would quite rightly be turned down as not in its shareholders best interests. Interesting times ahead guys, let's see what unfolds, if indeed anything does unfold.
I personally don't think that ITV need a takeover bid for the share price to recover to pre Covid 152p, and previous levels of 180p. Once Covid is under control and the economy starts its recovery so will ITV share price. Just my opinion of cause. DYOR.
I don’t believe any bid would be ‘hostile’ but it would be down to ITV management to secure a reasonable price.
Clearly any buyer would do ‘due diligence’.
Not sure it’s material?
There is enough information out there from the advertising and television industry and it’s a long term purchase anyway.
They will use industry advertising forecasts etc anyway.
Rock, GS held over 21% of ITV in August including the 9.9% they held on behalf of LG.
Carrington, yes you make a very good point.
I don't know what happened with the closing price falling 1p at the UT.
5Eights, did your contacts have any information?
sorry the 9.9% included the leverage position
Well they were holding the LG original 9.9% plus the additional 5%?(cant remember if it was 5 or more?) using a leverage position.
So do LG now own them and have they replaced the leverage position with a real position?
Many questions
I am just wondering if a potential suitor will wait until the results are out on the 5th March , in that way they will have a snapshot of exactly how well the business is performing before committing ? what do you reckon guys?
dyor etc
Well one thing is definitely certain after today, no more RNS holdings from GS now they have 'sold' down below the 3% threshold for the first time in around five years !!!
Doubt if we will see any evidence of those shares, yet another load of missing stock or who knows could it be a case of yet another Friday huge uncrossing trade for an unknown identity ??
More than likely !
I think a bid is on its way too. Best to hold and see what happens in the next 6 to 12 months.
28 Jan, 15:11 GMT 107.10 GBX +2.30 (2.19%)
Does this have legs? YES
Enjoying the rise today?
Carrington.... "I think maybe a bid is in the pipeline - gla dyor etc"
I did my research on the 15th I think it was, and disclose on this site my findings. Read in to that what you will. I cannot say anymore than that. GL.
Thanks Nige, yes I would only ever make my own decisions and will do so later this evening after some scouting around. Good luck all!
ITV now up 1pct, something is afoot here - I think maybe a bid is in the pipeline -
gla dyor etc
Rick.... "But where could they have gone? If one investor acquired them it would have to be disclosed no?"
Hi Rick, yes I would normally agree with you. Although, 5Eights has previously pointed out that GS have history and big fines for not disclosing such information. So there are ways of not disclosing such sensitive information. I'm not advising you or anyone should act on this information, you must make that yourself. Good luck in making the right decision.
But where could they have gone? If one investor acquired them it would have to be disclosed no? I’m considering closing out a losing position on another stock and doubling down now I’ve seen this as I already fundamentally believe this will rise in the mid-long term... Very torn but excited
