HydrogenPro coming to market and Everfuel expanding ...
Iwantthatone.
Check out the US. Wallingford already produced 2,700+ and expanding. Many new tech companies coming to the hydro section.
My main worry is China.
They will look to do to the market like they have done with EV batteries and storage. 70% of the market.
Thing with China is they just do it ,usually with a gov backed company then once the tech has been shared kill the western comp. If the IP's cannot be protected then watch this space. Ceres already in bed. Watch that space for good or bad ? Good tester for research.
Troublesome...... some of the morning routines :-)

I think Bessemer will be replicated in Germany, China, SKorea, Australia and USA with help from Linde and funding from new partners within the next few years. It is a logical step in future growth in demand.
The thing that potentially justfies the current mcap for me is the barrier to entry for smaller electrolyser manufacturers once ITM and a few select others reach scale. The reduction in price per kw that they hope to achieve will be matched only by the very largest competitors out there. The early mover advantage could see the market sewn up between just a handful, which will secure profits well into the future. It becomes a bit like Facebook. You can't value that using a PE ratio. If they can reach capacity at Bessemer Park (and you'd hope they haven't got their sums wrong - they're planning the second factory already) that's 1GW of production (p.a.?) worth 500m Euros (at 2025 prices). Big business.
@psmith64,
' Hydrogen gamble ' - some home truths coming out ?
Thought this share had ' lost it's sparkle ' for you and ended your love affair.
Don't forget to get some physical exercise in your newly found (it appears) stress-free lifestyle.
1LEO, I think that was a late reported Friday purchase. Nevertheless positive, as was the media coverage over the weekend which made much of the oversubscription and the take-up of the additional £15m.
Personally, my portfolio is about 40% into renewables with ITM front and centre, largely due to the fact I am up a 12 bagger on it to date with more to come in my opinion.
Looks like that was a late reported buy from Friday 1LEO. The news coverage has been uniformly positive over the weekend and much made of the fact that the placing was oversubscribed to the point that they took up an extra £15m. Hopefully, we will get more positive news flow as the new facility gets operational and if Biden gets in and whatever version of their New Green Deal gets underway, hydrogen should become a mainstream part of the conversation.
As previously mentioned, about 40% of my portfolio is invested in renewables and I intend to keep it that way with ITM front and centre sitting nicely on a 12 bagger already and much further to go in my opinion.
Looks like the institutions are buying a few million shares, the last one an hour ago was 2 million
not much chance of £1,75 now
No need to apologise Sharpeye , concise , to the point , couldn’t agree more , made my laugh. Don’t think he who must be ignored has a thin skin.
Crikey Sharpeye, did you get out the wrong side of the bed this morning ?
Thanks to my Hydrogen gamble I get a lie in on Monday's now as I only work part time. Might take the Merc out for a blast this afternoon.
That's brunch done, now to catch up with the weekend news.
Thank you ITM for taking the stress out of life.
Apologies for my French Seaangler, just find his kind nauseating and needed to vent!
Sharpeye. Living up to your handle..... accurate and to the point. Language we don’t generally employ here , in our heads possibly. Early in my new regime of ignoring a certain person , lip is bleeding though. Toneman hitting the prospects nail on head as always. Have to be a fool to not recognise the opportunity here.
So why the F*** do you bother to continually bore us with tales about you having sold up here. I mean every bloody day! FFS we get the message, you have sold so just F off and leave us in peace you patronizing twazzock
Some kind of trickle down effect ? where money made from renewables eventually goes back into fossil fuel by those addicted.
Cheer up Smithy. This is just the start of the hydrogen journey. The big money you've made on hydrogen so far is arguably just in the past 12-18 months. That's just as we crossed the start line. The finishing post is a tiny spec in the distance. My expectation is for these companies to show market cap growth at least doubling every 3 years for the rest of the decade.
Powerhouse that should have been, not Powercell.
Mine is a Mercedes. Bought and paid for from investments over the years. It's no ordinary one either, but that is another story for another day.
Pre pandemic and no Brexit the news last week would have been the gateway to 500p much quicker.
The reality is this fundraising just shows how much cash a company like ITM needs to expand, and we all know it won't be the last fund raising in reality.
It does secure the next few years of that there is no doubt, but as a company there needs to be substantial news by way of it actually generating some cash through profit.
My worry is it's going to be in majority just a manufacturing company, and one on what is going to be a competing market meaning it's gross profit on each project is not going to be much more than 10%.
It has potential for reoccurring income from the production of its future fuel pumps, but that is years off yet and its more likely as time goes on the likes of shell will just use ITM to male electrolyzers and gain the income off the fuel.
For ITM to justify the current sp it needs to be generating £ 65 million profit, we are years off that.
It's still over priced, it's lost it's sparkle for me, the days of 2000% gains are over and it's just a good long term steady growth share now with the potential to return above average returns over the long term, but nothing like this last 5 years, those of us that took the gamble back then have been the real winners.
I am glad I cashed in recently on ITM, Plug and BallardI and took the major profits, but I now have a similar amount invested in AFC, Powercell , Velocys that I invested in ITM all those years ago. They are cheap , just like ITM was, and I haven't invested a lot just as I didn't on ITM in the first instance as there is major risk involved.
But my latest investments have only dipped into my Hydrogen profits and like this last five years I will enjoy the gamble especially if it has the same outcome.
Good luck all holders here, I think I will just day trade ITM for the moment to keep an interest and make some short term cash to pay for the petrol in my Mercedes which guzzles about £ 80 per month having a V12 5.7 lt engine.
As you make your bed, so you must lie in it !!
Mine is a Bentley and I share the sentiments re trading to squeeze out a bit more profit. Boris must be sweating a lot these days and looking forward to his resignation next spring - he has already started the rumours. Covid and Brexit are two nightmares rolled into one for any PM.
The noise from the share isn't really attractive to me and I already have a Rolls Royce of money invested in it so I'll probably stick. The noise means that the day traders are able to enjoy the share, buy at 240p and sell at 300 repeat, but for me that would be a high stress holding, especially when there are so many other low noise regular rising assets out there. A good night's sleep is worth a lot of money to me.
I don't think Boris especially likes Rump, I think, as he said when asked about Rump's intelligence, "the greatest thing about Mr Trump is he is President of the USA" and surely everyone can see the back handed compliment in that? Remember the Macron, Trudeau, Boris private chat that got leaked back in 2017? Nah Boris is just keeping his head down like Merkel (remember when Rump tossed her some sweets, "never say I don't give you anything"), everything reflected in the Rump mirror looks weird.
The reality is a Biden presidency merely takes us back to some sense of normality. The Brexit situation, on its own, is a disaster, everything else is just background rumble.
Yep Sharpeye. One share for every 160 really isn’t worth the effort. Disappointing , it’s all about jam for the old boys. That said we do want the institutions to be in so not going to get too upset. Will apply for more if a I can , not sure if they can enlarge the offer like they did with the main fundraise?
I took up the placing at 40p having bought in at 20p and I will be buying in again. It's a shame the amount available to us is so small though. I'm holding for the long-term.
Whoops - can/will not.
I think the most effective vaccine that can be hoped for will only give protection for a limited period (probably 3 months at best). We will probably have to live with the disease forever and find more effective means of keeping it control.
Anyway, we are all vulnerable when it comes to the consequences of human effected climate change and IMO, the potential for growth here can only continue. Volatility in the short term is inevitable as the issues are not always flavour of the month but unfortunately, that situation can and will not continue.
Looking forward to next week and wondering where the SP will head after the latest news? This time last year it was a 40p buy in and Linde’s ( at the time ) considerable investment. From that point the SP marched onwards and upwards , partly de-risking maybe , partly market development , partly lots of things really. This time around another alliance and an even bigger fund raise. From what I can see this is about having the kind on money to move things forward in our key areas. Exciting times for sure , but where will it take us? My guess is onwards and upwards once again with the prospect of ongoing contract news pressing the accelerator periodically. Recent developments should have institutions chomping at the bit to buy in , the growth in green funds adding to the pressure. Given what’s going on in the world I’d be happy with a fraction of the growth achieved over the last 12 months or even to stand still. It does make you wonder what will happen if a vaccine is found? Wouldn’t want to be out that’s for sure. As always , just my thoughts and nothing else. Have a good one.
