Any investor should always know that investing is a huge risk, but can be very rewarding too of you time the market right. I've lost money over the years and was down considerably here even, until I decided to average down. To me its obvious people will fly again, the world isn't going to end anytime soon so there was always a recovery on the cards!!! Trsvel and leisure stocks seemed to be the last areas to recover so for me I targeted these areas last Oct for a decent recover which is paying off. There will still be bumps in the road of course, but I remain confident and others should too that investing in IAG will certainly be rewarding financially in the days, months and years ahead. If your prepared to take risks, you will do well. As a long term hold I personally believe investing here is a safe bet!! GL All!!!
So messy the paid deramper is gone?

Any ideas why travel sticks should drop at around 3 pm ? Picked up a bit after , any ideas would be helpful ??
'Ned', flattery gets you everywhere with me.
Skindle
I get your point - I wouldn’t want anyone to bet his money on IAG based on what I say or what anyone else here says. Investing in stocks is very risky and everyone should be aware of the risks. There are a lot of assumptions which may not be true, most importantly that the pandemic will go away in a few months. Or travel will be back to normal later half of 2021. Will request everyone to exercise due diligence before investing.
Livepari4, you are as extreme as Whatamess but at the opposite end of the spectrum. Whatamess is alleged to have encouraged investors to sell shares at a low price by pledging that the share price would drop by as much as fifty per cent. You are encouraging investors to buy shares with the pledge of a fifty per cent rise from here having already enjoyed a nigh on fifty per cent rise in the last two weeks. Ramping is equally as annoying as deramping.
Big B you post like a complete k. Nob
On a day when most major us airlines plunge 3-5% and FTSE is red this has ended the day in green. It seems it will continue to rise another 50% from here as it’s still very low compared to peers. DYOR on google esp compare it’s scale of Covid recovery with other long haul airlines like Delta, American Airlines, United, Lufthansa, Quantas, JAl, Singapore Airlines, Aeroflot and many others.
It will test 238 but will it drop to 190-200 first? Any thoughts?

Think this may have had a lot to do with supporting the price in the afternoon. With pi interest drying up fearing it is at the top, lot of shares to clear so price raised. I will predict a further drop tomorrow in the 5-7% region.
Inevitably topped out, whether this part of a U-turn and retrace is difficult to say. iis may decide they have milked the pis as much as they can and it is time for the big profit take. Was a nervous morning playing with it, but I banked a bob or two and have a shiny new crapper on order!
Where does all this go next? Well there is the big vacc passport news, a common system which is bouncing around in the background. There is a lot of competition and I think the UK with its far off April 12th review date will end up being bounced into a system introduced earlier form elsewhere (you know who) which will be riddled with problems having been designed by committee with every bodies little preferences built in.
So the big binary vacc passport 'moment' which I've been looking for since January is probably not going to happen. I think there is trading sentiment rather business logic that will get behind further peaks, so this might be a 5-10% day trader with only very long term prospects, i.e. 300 by end of year.
These sorts of bubbles often burst. Still, I'm waving my willy all over the place as I surfed the wave well twice today. :)

“All the travel stock suddenly took a nose dive at 3pm ???“
Seems to me it’s the effect of stocks opening much in red in the US markets.
