" I can only assume people that have been out of the party are a bit jealous of the ones who have done well"
Classic willy waving. Jealous? If pis regard this as some sort of competition, then you will lose by default. Whatever another made or lost, it is what YOUR shares do that is the only important thing. Ignore the willy wavers running round the playground trying to make you feel insignificant and subordinate to them. Most of the time the willy wavers never made the trade they say and usually are revealed to have lost big.
@A69 you are of course right, but it is litterally a punt and I've put a sell on it if it reaches 115!
IAG is my stock of choice, I know nothing about any other stocks. I have a sizeable 'buy' for IAG tomorrow at 212...
If i'm lucky, might dip like it did today:-)) but i'm going to stay LTH now....
Thanks for your advice and projections... always useful.

Sunsurfer,
Why jump in the unknown when you have got so many options around.
dip in travel stock just now was great opportunity to make couple of percent profit.
TR64,
dividends are immaterial when the share price offers upside to the investor.. I can only assume people that have been out of the party are a bit jealous of the ones who have done well by sticking with their shares. This is a very viable business and as soon as travel resumes IAG will fly. This share is only going one way now and the vaccines are working..
Well done to all the investors that believed in IAG. I am one of them , i know this share very very well!!!
DYOR.
Sundezena.
@dean muck
happy to take a punt in that phama company... you happy to share?
whats the name, i'll buy in:-)

markets are heading south again on worries about tension between the US and China.
buy the dip 230 next target
Apologies . 4 Billion 9 million shares in issue, that is 3 billion more shares and no dividend for 3 years.
liverpari4
January 2020 IAG share price pre pandemic was £6.74 . Shares in Issue 1billion ,900 million
Today, 3 billion 900 million.
No Income, debts is not servicable, if it was they would be paying the pension contributions of £42 million a month
UK government paying UK salarys and IAG cant mae pension payments, even though they are not paying salarys of Furloughed workers.
BA as an example income in main is Business class, I hope they can keep as much as they had pre pandemic.
Personally I can only see one option and that is another rights issue , but that wont help much.
EZJ/RYA/ WIZZ have better business models but still have no cash.
Even if Normailty returns in 2023 IAG debts will be the same.
60% Overvalued is in my opinion generous, the sp is all built on hype and hope, but reality is , income will not return to pre pandemic levels for at least 18 months, so expect the existing debt to double
60% overvalued? Market doesn't think so. In a few months, it is all blue skies. Once the flying is back to normal, debt is serviceable. looks like you missed the bottom.
“Current price per shares looks around 60% over valued with no income still”
TR64
Market is looking into future income and not current income. It’s the expected income for 10-12 years ahead. Pandemic will pass in few months time. IAG is strategically well placed to come out of the pandemic stronger. Comparable airlines across the globe are about just 20% or so below their pre-Covid price. IAG needs to be about 350, it’s massively undervalued imo.
Pension Deficit of$ 3 billion, how is that going to be repaid by 2023.
BA keeps deferring pension payments , that are £37.5 million just in the UK every month.
No Dividends for 3 years.
Debt of $12 billion .
Current price per shares looks around 60% over valued with no income still.
Am I missing something, or are investors buying it to hold for 30 years
@Deanmck7,thanks.
Sunsurfer I was 140% up on a pharma company. This morning they’ve had a set back due to the FDA asking questions. But I topped up at the drop. Well oversold and when this gets FDA approval in 2021 H2 the returns will be incredible.
Fairy, CINE dividend was cancelled. It is forecast to restart in 2022 paid quarterly.
Sunsurfer, go and buy 7% of Restaurant Group, help out my breakeven sp a bit - thanks.
Just bought a 7% holding in CINE. Not sure why this would go to 3.80 given my kids do everything online (all they need now is virtual sex and they'll never leave the house!!). But still looking to re-enter IAG with the rest of my dry powder....
You guys recommend any other punts I can take? (dont mind if I lose it, its a punt!!
GLA
@Deanmck7.Cine stated they paid 15c divi. Was that split into 4 amounts across the year?
Got into Cine at 45 all looking extremely good at the moment , unfortunately my other largish holding Boo not doing very well.
Always had confidence in IAG and its never let me down .
Think I’m going to buy Cine too now.
GLA
I bought IAG this morning at 211, what a bit of luck. Now got 50% left of dry powder. Can I join you guys in CINE? Whats there ticker name?
GLA
No problem deepsea, switch off cineworld and don’t look at it for at least 6 months. By that time I’m hopeful of at least 1.50 as I expect cinemas to be fully operational and all states opened up and out of covid.
@Dean @smallT, thanks again. added CINE to hold until 1.90 @ 113. IAG holding to Oct.
Well said Dean. Could not agree more.
I was in and then out of CINE and not looking to reenter, I'm locked in elsewhere and have banked new towels and a new bog for the new bathroom so far this week. Best to sit back for me and let the locked in shares recover. Might jump into IAG at random though depending on when resources are released - hoping to release part of RTN at a loss which can be recovered by the remaining stake to take advantage of IAG which appears to hovering nervously at the moment.
Deep blue, I’ve mentioned Cine a few times in here. I traded it through the pandemic, got back in at just under £1 for the long hold bow the end is near.
As trader said, CEOs have a meaty bonus if they can drive the SP up to 1.90 and an even bigger bonus if it hits 3.80! One of their biggest cities is opening up within the next week and a bit (NY).
