Often wondered about split loads, I have seen them visit the same FPSO a couple of times, taking a part load and then returning a few days later to top up. they usually go to anchor at Lerwick or SF in between.
It is only my opinion but I think the PS is now hooked up to the AM.
i think if there has been an increase in production - it would have been announced in the last rns. maybe taking advantage of high oil prices in case price drops?
"It is only my opinion but I think the PS is now hooked up to the AM."
I'm hoping that one of 'our' on scene recce parties, pop into this BB and give us a visual confirmation ;-)
Does appear to be an 'opportune' offloading rather than pre-planned though. Just musing but could be a joint venture to take advantage of the current oil price and/or clear the tanks for maintenance and/or unplanned shutdown (or there's actually a real F&G event on the Glen Lyon during unloading ops) or perm any couple from those. Doubt we'll ever find out the whole story
In any event, if she's been to the Glen Lyon and the AM, someone is communicating with someone to make it happen ;-)
If, IF, 'all things being equal', where should (could) the SP of HUR actually 'be', in relation to 'other' oil producers, at the moment? NOT this 'low' surely?
The plot thickens, the Pearly Spirit has left the AM and is heading in a SE direction at 12 knots.
The destination now showing Macduff.
Thought it was a bit early for a full load, wasn't expecting a tanker for the next lift until around the 16 /17th
