(I'm pretty sure I have more shares than you do.)
Why do you engage in this childishness?
You don't know anyone else' s holdings unless they have been declared under FCA disclosure rules.
Or unless the shareholder stupidly declares them publicly.
But now you've opened that Billy Big B*llocks can of worms (yet again) do you think you have more shares than me?
Let's see if you can 'walk the walk'....
Truth is, we'll never know.
And that's the point.
Stick to what you're good at P.
How about adding what % of your share portfolio this represents so that we can see how concentrated your holding is?
Only so we can see if you are a **** or bust investor or a believer in diversification.
By the way do you own property, bonds etc.?
Oh go on, what is your total net worth?
Where do you live and what are your burglar alarm codes , bank details, share accounts and any passwords?
There is of course absolutely no evidence that sharing personal information on the internet can lead to harm of any sort :-)
G'on, tell, how many u got?
"More shares than me - that you may do"
It was you who claimed I had none
"ps I’ve been in since 2008 "
Not at all a badge of honour
Carry on. While I doubt very much you will ever see the £10 you are so confident of (but without basis) there's still a little more left in this stock yet.
Oh and PS if you have more shares than me - I expect to see you at the party as there are about 750 who own more than me - but would think it’s exclusive enough club to be in at the end
More shares than me - that you may do
But i am richer than you - as I don’t have to spend my every day in the board trying to disway investors - time and space is richer than a few extra shares
I am happy with my investment(s) and don’t have to say how big mine is - bet you have a convertible and starched scarf as well
GLA (ps I’ve been in since 2008 and don’t have to say anymore silence )
PUTUP, sometimes you can be rather harsh!!!
GLA LTH GKP, The best paying stock on the fOOTSIE, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT, 5 years ago?????
Simple views with no real basis will only get you into trouble... And, yes, it can be hard to use your brain.
Even considering just the exploration component of Shell.... If Shell lifts and sells a barrel of oil what percentage of the sales proceeds does Shell get? If GKP lifts and sells a barrel of oil (actually the KRG sell it) consider (1) at what discount to Brent is that barrel sold at? and (2) what percentage of the discounted sales proceeds are passed to GKP?
(I'm pretty sure I have more shares than you do.)
As I said no real basis just a very simple view
We all know Shell etc have broader basis, however we know GKP / Genel very similar
But as said before to yourself - east to bash - hard to use your brain
@Putup let’s see if simplicity delivers roughly where I think as you obviously don’t have any shares and just a jealous streak that people are willing to take a hedged risk to make money.
Shell is not just an exploration (up-stream) company, but it also also operate in the refining (down-stream) sector, chemical sector, etc.. The business risk (hence the risk for the investors) is much more widely spread than GKP, hence shell would command much higher price ($/barrel) premium than GKP
"So the big question is why does GKP share price get discounted 75% on value of oil produced to that of SHELL who operate in very stable political countries - NOT."
"First lesson in investing and valuing things" is to not listen to idiots who have no idea how to draw comparisons between two companies...
Well let’s look at share prices or value - don’t get confused on what price a share is in comparison to another company.
GKP @£10 a share is actually not 1/2 price of Shell but about 1/70th (yes she’ll share price is £22 but there are 7.5bn shares in circulation as opposed to 216m for GKP)
So Yes I do think GKP is worth £10 a share (company value c£2bn compared with Shell at £170bn)
First lesson in investing and valuing things is not the share proce - but the share price c number of shares.
Since GKP's value and production are a long way short of half of Shell and Shell is at £21, is it really fair to expect a £10 share price?
Agree never sell Shell but fair value GKP
One reason and one reason only, the adage "Never Sell Shell" still applies and will always do :)
Just a wee analysis - with no real basis - but thoughts on a postcard.
Genel & GKP are both very undervalued in this and any market place with great discount being applied due to the political situation (but please tell me where in the world do we have cheap oil and political stability hand in hand - money breeds !!!!). However, I always thought Genel was even more undervalued than GKP with their erosion in share price in comparison to GKP - but are my thoughts correct ?
However let’s look at Genel purely on a value per barrel oil produced.
Value £385m production 30-31,000bpd (take 30,500), just assume production of 365 days - would set a value of Genel @£34.6 per barrel produced in the year. Now let’s look at GKP.
Value £517m production 44,900bpd again assume 365 days - this would set a value for GKP @£31.5 per barrel produced, so in reality GKP are 10% undervalued based on production compared with Genel.
However, how undervalued are we really, let’s look at SHELL again simply no reserves or where being pumped from or liabilities (ps SHELL like all majors have BIG liabilities), purely on production.
Value £168bn production 3.6mBPD, so again 365 days this would value Shell at £127 per barrel produced.
So the big question is why does GKP share price get discounted 75% on value of oil produced to that of SHELL who operate in very stable political countries - NOT.
So GKP share prices based on a simple view of the world should be 4x what it currently is. Also for the record SHELL worldwide reserves are 11bn barrels - what is GKPs really ?????
So let the share price goto it’s natural position please circa £10.
