" You have to be in it to win it". That advice was given each day
on FRR and some invested all they had. I too sold good shares
and bought FRR instead. FRR is now worthless . I bought GGP
with what was left and spent precious time taking an interest in
the market. It paid off but is frustrating and not good for your
health. Traders put on weight and get obsessed with money.
Not always easy after a few beers ha ha
trust yourself is always a good start....lol
Spy i wasnt moaning at zoros i was merely saying you could drive yourself insane worrying about it all , you have to trust someone or something at sometime surely
Don’t trust anyone especially if their username rhymes with “blow cash”
TT & all
Respect your views. I only detailed an outline because someone asked for ideas on strategy and I decided to go a tad further. Nothing about boasting at all . During a similar exercise in 2020 I was quite happy to declare that at the end of 2019 I was down on my SIPP by 6 figures. Disasters at EQT,UKOG,ANGS,VAST ALBA & a few others even GGP at the time was down 20% from my average. Thanks to GGP (and to a smaller degree EQT & EUA) that went from despair to elation over a 12 month period where my SIPP quadrupled! So I am very lucky and content, albeit somewhat dissatisfied at our current SP.
If the principle of a little diversity but some of the challenges during the lows helps even 1 person out there then I am happy.

So zoros , do you trust anyone ? Must be a hard way to live , imo
Ah....data. possibly one of the most underrated commodities out there.
My son gathers data.....and then sells it...just as we do with our shares. Everyone wants your data my loverlies.
I don't do Instagram, nor twa tter.
My Facebook keeps track of my family globally but my profile shows me to be a Chinese graduate in macrame. I was born on 1.1.1908. and so it goes on. Hackers...feel free.
Big brother is slowly asphyxiating us. Cctv..adverts...bots...spiders ..cold callers...agreeing to t's and C's...on and on it goes.
If you've had your identity stolen..like I did many eons ago....it changes your whole perspective on life.
Be aware..big brother is ......
Z,
Loggy - I was about to say the same, however its easy enough to combine information posted across a number of shares into a more complete picture than maybe you'd like
TT:
I think most understand the dangers of giving out data. But I don't think giving info on % of portfolio really tells anyone that much. Obviously could be 50% of £5,000, or 50% of £500,000 etc etc.
Disclosure of an actual quantity is, however, something I would be slightly more wary of .
I generally agree. I'm sure that many posters on this forum remember, at least one request in the past couple of years, as to exactly what shareholding each forum member had in GGP.
It was, most recently, one of the most posted on threads on this forum!
What did that tell me? Well, the psychology of investors...Some of them just love to tell everyone else what they hold (with some lies included, as was obvious too!).
As I said, everyone to their own! TT
I’m all in, both mine and the wife’s share ISA, my SIPP plus 2 investment accounts one for me as both the ISA’s are full for this year and last year and one for family members I’ve convinced to invest in GGP as well :)
Bought in at 24.5 but now averaged down to 19.6 thanks to a couple of top ups and including £10,000 this morning.
So jealous of the early investors, well done all those who were a lot wiser or luckier than most of us.

Hi Timber Trader, not boasting far from it, many on here have told how many shares they have
Just a fact mate to pxxs derampers off,
Had plenty shxxx vast, ukog, liongold and at least 10 others, ggp has been solid gold for me
Timbertrader.
The ones that ask the question on holdings typically are looking to seek advantage ie I now know what retail investors hold, what average, what percentage of portfolio, Risk, concerns its all data you should keep to yourselves, one or two dodgy buggers on here.
While we're hitting rock bottom...SP wise..It might be opportune to remind readers of the following (again). Why reminder now? Because for most, this won't be an issue at 17p!!!:

When (not if) the stock rises, those with large numbers MUST take this into account if they have a scintilla of financial responsibility about them.
Cometh the day......cometh the tax man.
Remember...it is legal to 'avoid' tax but not ' evade it'.
The subject is not for the faint hearted. Planning now, with a regulated IFA or you accountant...will save you eye watering sums of money when December comes (pfs and more).
Good luck.
Z,
Let me tell you my Greatland Gold story.
I came across the GGP share in March 2020 after a large daily rise so, this was the vent which caused my journey. I began to read as much as I could and have to say I was persuaded dip my toe into the AIM water.
I read as much as I could, read more, phoned up GGP, chatted to friends discussed the same with them, and they like me became sold of the journey. It also helped that I worked alongside the geotechnical profession. I sold many of my other shares to buy more and more GGP as time moved on and so, did my friends. When doing so, we believed this company had prospects. Knowing I could never know everything I accepted I might be foolish however to ignore my gut feeling would be more distressing.
By June GGP was by far my biggest position and the disparity has grown and grown over time. By November/December 2020 I did became a little nervous because of FOMO so sold about a 10%. I now regret I did not sell more at the time, however, remain very happy believing this down draft in share price is quite normal.
Despite GGP share price going down, wisely or foolishly have bought more and more each month – not on account of chasing losses but because I think the company is getting stronger and stronger. When buying as many as I have, I must say I have been happy to do so and never have been plagued with the worries.
Maybe I should be worried however I cannot fight every bone in my body all of which are saying it is so cheap now. I probably have the benefit that I am to date still 75% up, overall.
Don’t take this as a recommendation - it’s not - its simply the best hunch I have ever had.
In the past, I have wished I had (in the past) backed more of my hunches. Because GGP a biggest investment position I have ever had, I now checked the price every day, were as before, I only checked it was once a week.
Am I the ‘ a clever devil’ and the prudent investor or the ‘bag holding fool? Whatever I am, time will tell eventually and I only have myself to blame.
I am happy with what I have done, believe it’s the fairer of many paths that I could have taken.
To all posters, I have to say; ‘a big thanks – I have welcomed all good or bad GGP comments and can assure you all been well received. Your comments have made me reconsider, re-evaluate, take stock and act accordingly. The strange thing is every conclusion I have drawn has resulted in me ‘buying more
Sorry for any mis spellings
@ zoros
Come on zoros, you know that you don't require a degree in psychology to know that any forum question like this draws a percentage of people in to the discussion, wanting to 'advertise' their position in GGP. We've seen it before, many times. There is nothing like a forum like this to bring out the people that, dare I say it, like to boast about their superior investment strategies.
Everyone to their own I guess, but, like you, I have no interest, whatsoever in sharing information on my investments with the social meeeeedya world!
It's all in a isa
:-)))))))
Dickie i totally agree with you , i buy and sell all the time , this just happens to be one share not going for me atm , i am not selling any until 40p and to be fair dont hold very many
How fascinating human psychology is...volunteering personal financial affairs on a public forum.
Fascinating... that's all. Not good..not bad.
Z
A lot of people are heavily into GGP myself included, because I believe in all the genuine information out there, it doesn't stop me getting ****ed of with the daily grind that this share price gets put through. I would just like to know what is happening as there is no justification for it!
Freddie...many have already made a fortune so just taking profits. It's not often we see huge gains but when it happens you could lose those gains overnight if any negative news comes thst delays progress. That's why many take profits hoping to invest in other projects while we wait.
I would never hang on to a hundred grand profit...i'd take profits too.
Come volvic, tell us more, its do interesting
And all the paid now in green bin rampers who are paid to ramp the price down and panick folk to sell, you all know how it works
volvic
Just to add, l am 100 percent behind GGP as a sound company and Haviaron is going to be huge with SD now on board the sky's the limit, my beef is with the aim market only
volvic
