Took a big hit on Sxx also after buying in starting at 7p average 23 .
The placement was criminal and I took up my entitlement too.
I even sold shares in GGP to invest more.
It has also made me sell too many here as in the past always has a target and took profits so got spooked at 2p and 12p here.
Thankfully GGP Microsoft and Boo have helped soften the blow.
Iām hoping Iāve also found another few gems .

John678, same here. Kids keep saying āDad, pull your money now before you lose againā. Nope. Not same this time. Although still mining mainly, all have good bods and the fundamentals are totally different. If ssx. had been on a joint venture it would have succeeded. Ggp is going all the way...and then some.:-)
Max hi,
Cheers,

Barna i got hit for Ā£340K in the end & just kept buying & averaging down which did help a tiny bit in the end
My GGP price to break even & cover that loss was 7p so needless to say i am very happy these days
I generally am mr steady eddie with my main portfolio but in my Aim account i tend to gamble too much sometimes hence everybody (Family) nagging me to cash out GGP now but i am in this for a long while yet
Hi Barna. I feel your pain but the reason it failed was due to the involvement of JPM and their friends at AA (who were in debt to JPM) Fraser was duped. ATB Speedy
Max....another meaningless irrelevant post if I may so...lol.... What was the point of that?
bellers I lost over Ā£80000 I put every thing into it trying to average down that was my mistake but it was not greed , C.f. new full well this would fail, Fraser was an investment banker, The project will get built and will make billions of pounds of profit but not for the 820000 that invested
Hi Elise and Tome
Well done for cashing in when YOU choose. Elise being mortgage free is a great feeling.
The morons here who start telling people they should or shouldnāt sell clearly have their own problems. My guess is that they are so unsure of themselves that knowing anyone has sold destabilises them.
Thatās a great add Tome, wish I had the cachones to trade. Iām going to set my sell order tomorrow for half my holding, I have a very special purpose for that money. It will be somewhere around the mud 30ās, but should the situation change I may up that.
What I do, or you do with our money is our concern and no business of anyone else.
Nothing is a dead cert. Based on the current situation gold may well continue to increase, but as we are all aware āblack Swanā events can and do happen.
Once again, well done both.

Lochranzalad, I got it well wrong in a big way in sxx. Donāt care who knows. Ā£52k gone. I hope Iāve learned from it or I deserve For it to happen again. If you want to know what caused it....greed. Simple.:-)
Great to see all the people who keep timing the market to perfection. Selling high and then buying back in lower .I wonder if anyone ever gets it wrong on AIM ? Mystic meg must be crapping herself !
Elise hi,
Thanks appreciated :-))))))))))))

Tom :-))))
Elise hi,
Cheers, the cash got me a load more GGP shares so well pleased, apart from the barracking I got from a couple of nice friendly members. LOL.
Keep well and safe

Tom :-)))
If this is the confession spot:
Forgive me true GGP holders, for I have sinned.
I inadvertently had a historic sell still set for 26.2p in a SIPP that duly triggered this morning.
I hope your derision at strudel being a trader (traditionally my attempts at such short term manoeuvres have ended badly) are tempered by my update to that confession:
I spotted the boo-boo at lunchtime and I bought the whole lot (and more) back at 24.7p. Put me back to LTH status please.....
Think this is what happens when you hold GGP across multiple brokers and multiple SIPPs, ISAs and trading accounts.
Lens / Xe hi,
Same type that stoned SB and drove him off the board. Bit childish of them seeing its a share dealing board. LOL. None of them said a word on Friday when i told them exactly what I intended to do, when it came up trumps out of the woodwork they come, their loss I figure.
I am going to do the same tonight too. :-)))
Cheers
Tom :-)))

Dodge I dont really care as the CGT charge is already taken into account and can be paid off no problem. I just want to get that account closed ASAP another few weeks/ months will not matter.
Well done TomE..itās in your best interest what you do, especially if your get clobbered by tax.
Take care

TomE - surely, if you now have more shares than you did, that makes the taxable situation in your trading account worse?
Well done Tom, I wish I had the nerves to do that, but I donāt have as many to play with as you do ! So would be a bigger disaster if I didnāt get it right, so just doing a Paddy here !
LS1 hi,
Thanks for that. :-)
Tbf. Tome did state he will sell to see if price is reak and second buy limit to see if they will drop.
Good on him he has enough to play with.
If you have massive cahunas and know what will happen then why not. Personally mine are small :-)))
Mickey I have nearly 11 million shares and am reducing / trading from my Trading account in attempts to closing it ASAP ( tax reasons) none from the ISA so no need to fret. I have never traded this share before but have to get out of the taxable trading account, cant be blamed for that. But I bought them back anyway and made 18k and now have more shares,. Cant be bad. so no need for the ffs.
*gets popcorn*
Over to you TomE...
Tom ffs
Bellers hi,
Sorry I forgot to say I bought back 574,468 shares with the cash and gained about 74,468 shares , not bad for a mornings work.
Cheers
Tom :-)
