Folk, in defence of Atlantic capital markets I think they have written a good summery for their clients and in essence saved their clients a shed load of time by summarising the great things likely in the year ahead. They have charged zero for their note , although they have taken hundreds of pounds off me in commissions in the last few months! No city ivory tower btw , think they are based in an old boat shed or similar in truro - hence the name [my guess].
Yeh , anyone with a bit of nous after doing proper research would get this is the stock of the year , Havieron , newcrest , fully funded and excellent management team . Plus a shiload more.
Next week should see the start of next leg up gaining traction to the results imo
Schlemiel, IMHO it's certainly a "serious and general afffirmation of the prospects of GGP", which I agree with, but, IMHO, it's not through any particular knowledge that's better than "us lot". Quite frankly, they really don't know any more than "us lot".
Yet again, as is often the case with brokers, all of their views and comments are based on information that's already in the public domain and is often late to the market. You only have to do your own research to find all of this information pretty easily online nowadays. They aren't anything special, but attempt, from their city 'ivory towers, to make you think that they are, and charge massive fees for the same. :-)
Whenever I wobble with this stock I always reread Paddy and Reddirt and that instantly restores and elevates my faith even further. That Reddirt poster knows his onions
“We retain the view that Greatland Gold is one of the most exciting exploration projects globally.”.......
Is this hyperbole or a serious and genuine affirmation of the prospects of GGP? It's a pretty bold statement to make especially for a blue-chip natural resource broker with the reputation that Numis possesses...
They know better than us lot I suppose. It's exciting stuff nonetheless
thanks for the link PaddyGall
There are multiples of precious and semi precious metals in the Havieron, including Cu and REMs.
Cannot see it on scale. They have been talking about constructing a decline for the block caving structure, which will mean removal of significant materials with minerals, but most crucial thing is putting this in the correct place. Hence the requirement for more infill drilling and to know where the highest grades are.
From what I have read, there may be more than 1 decline and block cave mining structure required. Let’s hope so.
Normal timescale from end to feasibility study and go for mining to block cave mining start seems to be around 3 years.
I would imagine the decline would be going down to 1000 metres or deeper.
I would be interested in seeing more detail if anyone has it, I did post links earlier, especially once say the block cave has removed ore to the top mineralised zone, does the remaining 500 metres to surface have to collapse into the cave and be removed?
It been mentioned in a few places and it is again in here.
"Broker’s Numis, which has just upgraded its price target for Greatland have said there could
be upwards of 5.5mln ounces at Havieron, and that’s before considering the as yet unexplored
areas to the northwest which are thought to contain significant further mineralisation."
We know these "areas" are not unexplored they are "unreported", so when they say "are thought to contain significant further mineralisation" what are they actually telling us???
Tick tock - another week gone by. ATB Paddy
Thanks Paddy, that was a great read.

"Newcrest who are the joint venture partners over in Australia. In fact they have been so impressed with the prospects that
they have opened the taps to drilling in the region in an effort to have resources moving out
of the ground by the end of the year".
"resources moving out of the ground by the end of the year" What the gold minerals - can that be possible?
It does sum things up reasonably well, but with nothing new over and above what most of us know already, and have for some time. They also miss out some important factors.
Sum’s it up!
Thanks Paddy
Cheers

Ok now cheers
Works fine for me

Summary
The AIM market is a fickle environment and moves are fleeting, largely due to a lack of volumes
and a lack of reporting clarity. However, I am in agreement with Numis on this one. Greatland’s
prospects look to be far superior than other miners in this market. The reality is that the
prospects for Greatland gold are high quality and if it can be pulled out of the ground also of
a significant quantity. There is also significant strong noise from Newcrest who are the joint
venture partners over in Australia. In fact they have been so impressed with the prospects that
they have opened the taps to drilling in the region in an effort to have resources moving out
of the ground by the end of the year. And let’s be clear on this, Newcrest is no minnow with a
market cap of $20bn+
However, if you have been around the markets as long as I, then you will surely know it is
never as simple as it might seem. It takes more than just numbers to really make a difference
and with the only target price out in the market being 6p the short-term upside is stunted.
That being said, the price of gold also plays its part and any drop in gold could temporarily
weigh on the share price and give investors the entry level required. This year is going to be an
interesting year for the company and if all goes to plan, we could be looking at a significantly
different price by the end of the year.
