Jerry could be under the 10 they hold so still looking good if there is news to trigger demand for shares.
Do es anyone know or use Jim Nominees Ltd, they have doubled their holding in last 12 months
PLus you have to factor in all those tiny stockbrokers who hold shares for their clients and those clients who like to hold paper certificates. I think the MM number is tiny. Enough to facilitate trade but not to tie up much needed capital. Admittedly I am a bit out of date but when I worked in the City smallerco MMs werent large well capitalised companies. Winterflood was the best and biggest and they werent a big company.
It takes time, it doesn't happen over night.
The other 10% you are looking for is on page 50 of the company report. It's quite possible that some of these shares have been sold, and it would be their right to do so.
Prospector I stand corrected as found the 82.13 % in the company report. That is good news, I still think the MMs could still have about 10% in total on their books but would be delighted if they have have less than that.
Shareprice.com used to give historical daily gross buy and sell totals which was great for tracking but they now only report volume traded.
Prospector. Funnily enough GGP are not listing the full list and the only one I can find is the below sourced from Bloomberg. Total % on that is 70.5 and so I do not think much has changed to the figures I posted.
Where did you get yours ? I hope it wasn’t from a piece by Simply Wall Street - they mention a figure of around 82% of GGP being held by Institutions.
That is total tosh.
Largest Shareholders %
Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management 25.5
Interactive Investor Trading Ltd 13.7
Halifax Share Dealing Ltd 9.4
Jarvis Investment Management Ltd 5.0
Beetham Stephen 4.0
AJ Bell Securities Ltd 3.6
HSBC Holdings PLC 3.5
Barclays PLC 3.5
IG Markets Ltd 3.2
Starvest PLC
Will check Prospector, I last looked in January figures
Jambo, I don't know where you are getting your figures from, but from the last report a total of 82.13% was accounted for holdings over 3% as of 15th October. That leaves 17.87% holding less than 3%. Then take off shares issued to dirctors (6.4%). Then take off shares issued for aquisitions, etc. All looks normal to me.

I have no intention of selling any of my holding until we get a fair value for what we have!
Just frustrates the FCUK out of me how we can have so much positive news and the sp drops!! (I was just having a rant).
I'm sure we will be well rewarded (eventually, whenever that may be) unless of course we get shafted and taken out ''on the cheap'', which would then finally explain the suppressed SP!
However I would like to still be ''above ground and breathing'' when it does finally happen!
:-(
Prospector. Look at the list of major shareholders, those that hold more than 1% and the directors/connected persons holdings too. Almost all the PI holdings will be in the Nominees listed ie Hardgreaves etc.
Now add up all the percentages and see how much of a percentage is missing. It’s been consistently between 25 and 30% since Newmont bad news when there was plenty selling. Who had to soak up these sales ? The market makers, thats their job.
There will be a small percentage of shares held by individuals via their local stockbroker and I do not believe there are any institutional holders ; holding under 1% . The ones we do have are already on the list as is SB s holding.
The info is all there so easy enough to work out there is a big junk not accounted for...and MMs are rightly exempt from disclosing their long positions.
Jambo, where is your evidence that the market makers are hording vast quantities of Greatland shares? I've never heard such nonsense. Do you really think they would take a risk like that?
The reason for the decline is primarily due to retail buyers and sellers who simply don't have the appetite or stamina to hold for longer through the quieter periods - it is these retail traders that make up most of the liquidity here. It is simply supply and demand. Don't be surprised if larger buyers or an institution gets involved if these low prices continue.
Hard to say but on a daily basis they will assume there are traders around so think there will continue to be a slow fall during rest of this month on the current volume. There will be the odd day when logic does not apply ie when there are more sellers and SP rises or more buyers when SP falls. That is because they have an idea trades are active and those who are trying to make a quick profit over 1 or a few days in and out or out back in get tested.
Probably a trading window for a few weeks until informal notice from NC mid December but I would not chance anything as any type of news could drop on us from here on in.
Morning Jambo , how low you reckon the mms will take it or are we their for now?
Disagree Mattyboy, it was a good week for news.
You are only focused on the SP and there are explainable reasons why it’s on a downward trajectory. MMs have several hundred million shares so there risk appetite for more is non existent. They play daily games if that’s what you e
Want to call them; generally turning round stock. There long game is to drop gradually so when the confirmatory news does drop the upward rise will look more steep.... but you can be assured not to the true value it should be ...unless it’s so good the MMs offload all their shares . Only other way true value reflected in SP would be by an offer.

Smoke and mirrors Matty, this is only going one way and that is up. Numis base a 4p target on 300 x 200 x 800, this is much wider and deeper. Hang tough and you'll be rewarded. GLA
All too predictable I’m pleased to say. Some great trading opportunities here for the brave (or stupid).
Closed at 1.55p!! FFS!!!
(See you all the same time next Friday then at sub 1.5p no doubt! :-( )
