George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Not even a drill in the ground at Scallywag or paterson east yet. No doubt all these options and warrants will be converted here so the cash can be put to work. Can only see it drop from these levels short term unless Newcrest do something miraculous this week....
Plus 57000000 director and employee options at 2.5p, looks like they're trying to drive it there before the inevitable fall back before the reload to 3p....
Hi Tiggerman, my sentiments exactly. I must say though, even though the keyboard warriors are ramping the daylights out of this, I feel once scallywag has been drilled enough to give a reasonable enough picture, havieron as a whole or the company a whole will be collected for a god sum for the shareholder. GLA
Now this share price has risen over the last couple of weeks the board has become a **** fest again with people making ridiculous predictions. Can we get back to the constructive threads with Paddy and others producing good information for genuine holders to mull on rather than 'I'm topping up again' or 'we're going to get taken over next week'. People have topped up so many times I'm surprised there's any free float left!! Thank you GLA
Mickey, I've been a holder here for 3 years since I first found this share and no disrespect because you're probably paid to ramp this share but some of your comments are ludicrous, pot kettle my friend....
I agree in the fact there has to be an agreement in place, but who's to say there won't be? If we're talking April to May, that gives Newcrest four months to be peppering Hav and sort out an agreement with GGP, and they already have one in place as a template....
OAW, as the rigs are increased next year, has anyone stated that they will all be operating at Hav? (genuine question) Could it be that one or two may put a few holes in the ground at Scallywag, and test the depth and grade there, and if it starts to produce more favourable depths then the attention could be switched to fastrack scallywag.
We already know that Hav has enough results to provide a resource estimate....
Lol, that wasn't quite my point but.....
I never said you did!! Read my post again and wind your neck In! I said good recapping by everyone that went, and reading some of the points made... where are you mentioned? And i'm not a journalist, and you a had a gold tie two years ago sitting in the front row....
Good recapping by everyone that went today, many thanks for relaying the Info back.
Reading some of the points, stating we should get an injection on the sp around March time, Is that a subliminal message to say that buying Is going on at the moment, possibly agreed, to allow Newcrest? to reward Itself some of the Investment it will Inevitably give to us on the purchase of hav/scallw/paterE or ultimately take the company out all together?
Got to say very Interesting that he felt able to say he doesn't think the company will last much longer In an AGM.
This thankfully Is a far cry from the last one I went to when we were all waxing lyrical regarding Newmont, and most of us know how that ended..... GLA This time next year Rodney.....
Morning all.
OAW, I would Imagine that Newcrest are no different to any other company in creating value for It's shareholders.
If they see the JV through to It's conclusion and Inherit 70% of what looks to be a 10m oz + asset, they've spent $65m to acquire a project worth $10.5 bn to them, maybe more!
Why not then pay for the remaining 30% when you've effectively stolen the first 70? Pay Greatland £500m upwards for It's share, which is worth another $4.5 bn + at market value out of the ground and everyone's happy.
They can move on to Scallywag, rinse and repeat, and prolong Telfers life cycle In the process. GLA
Not get the RNS from the stock exchange this morning?
The accumulating goes on!
If we still box in the same price range this week after that, someone is definitely accumulating! Or maybe the accumulation has been done, and now it can start to roll on the back of these results.
Maybe a TR1 tomorrow? GLA
I hope you're right BTB, and what a party that would be. GLA
At this rate Steve the drilling will be done in 6 - 12 months, and I wouldn't be surprised if newcrest try to cut this short if they like what they see. But if they do come to the negotiating table early, then it's a bit of a giveaway.
I agree BTB, but also if the gold price were to soar, someone suggested $4000, this world would likely be in a sorry state!
Thanks OAW, I just see the cost of gold in the ground as a cheap cop out.
As you rightly say, we're here to make money and we won't get many chances at it, this looks on the face of it a good opportunity.
I'm intrigued by the trading pattern these last few weeks, wide spreads disguising buying and selling.
Newcrest are desperate for this to succeed for Telfers benefit, with scallywag, Paterson East and Black hills all possible follow ons for JV (I personally think scallywag is nailed on if HAV is successful).
We have to believe that GH is acting in all our best interests, so selling on the cheap is out. With the current mcap, what we potentially have in havieron, with all the other targets additional, £500m mcap must be achievable surely?
How can we be happy with 3 million ozs? With newcrest pushing this site on to the next level, we would have to assume that there must be between 5 to 10 million ozs minimum? With GH's background in money not mining, he must have contacts that can see an investment with GGP having 30% of a 7.5 - 15bn dollar asset out of the ground? Why settle for $200 per oz when you're not under pressure to sell? I'd also like to think he could spot an attempted hostile takeover a mile off, not that there would be one, but business is cutthroat at this level!
Must be a big order being filled MS and they're struggling to fill it, If it doesn't go above 1.58 it's going down...
