Hi Mushy. Glad to hear your move to Portugal is going to plan. I was going to apply for Spanish residency to enjoy my home in Tenerife. After doing my research i found many reasons not to. The main one being tax reasons, the Spanish tax man wanted 19% of my UK house sale. Another reason was the closing of my UK bank acct and tax on investments. I am not sure about Portugese tax law but you may want to look into the ramifications of residency there concerning your investment in GGP. Good luck. ATB Speedy
Thank you Quepensa, Murcia is a nice part of Spain.
Ref the share price. I can only base it on what is in the pipeline. We have several key announcements coming up, not the least of which are the Scally results and the MRE on Havieron. Whilst I see Scally as being possibly quite a moderate resource, so long as it is attractive to mine, it should draw the attention of NCM for another joint venture. The MRE for Havieron is truly fascinating: A conservative 5 million plus ozs for the initial MRE would be great and we should hit the un-risked sp level inferred by Hannam. I think 40p by end of year is achievable. I give it an 80% possibility. I think the reverse, a dip down from the 23p, level as being far more unlikely. Maybe a 20% possibility. So, since I got this far by sticking my neck out...I'll chance it!!!
Do hope your correct about sp at Xmas Mush, seems a little unloved at the minute.
Have a Villa in Murcia (Spain) which we very much enjoy (when given the chance). Do hope you and yours have a wonderful time out there in Portugal.

Be careful Condorlini! It's like a Pandora's Box once you start looking....
Crikey.. Lady Mush is a force to be reckoned with... Had a look online at a few of the properties, and I totally see what you mean! Liked the old farm with 3 wells, a water mine? and 6HA of land.... Mrs C likes the one with the recording studio..
Hi Yellowstuff! Well, I'd love to say we are sunning it up in contrast but the weather is very stormy. Storm Barbara has reached landfall! I trust you have resolved your isa type stuff but I might make a suggestion: This share is going to reach the sky. You really must invest much more before the MRE in December. Just think how terrible you would feel if you didn't. You'd never be able to live with yourself!
Hello Mushrooms,
Just to let you know you are missing a lovely rainny day in Stroud!
Hope all goes well with moving, the five sided football pitch should make for some fun.
GGP is making steady progress and news should be on the way.
Yellowstuff
Hi Cordolini, Well, we can both be a bit impetuous by nature having only visited three. However, a lot can be discounted simply by scanning the net. Many of the country houses appear to have been last furnished, rendered, plumbed and wired in 1963. The younger members of the family leave, the older ones stay until they pass on and the houses are then left in a pitiful, unloved state. That also includes some absolutely superb colonial-style houses just left to crumble. No-one wants them. They are huge and grandiose and were designed to contain several generations at the same time. Such a shame.
Anyway, Lady Mush has already knocked down three walls in Scallywag Cottage, replaced kitchen units, extended the living area, turned the loft into a bedroom. put in a chicken run, built a baker's oven ,fenced in the front garden and rescued two street dogs,. haha...women!!! I've told her to forget the big electronic gate.
(Meanwhile, I am looking at a large car solar panel car porch and a five a side football pitch).
Trying desperately to turn this post back to GGP, so here is hoping the share spikes soon. This is going to cost some cash!
Yes, everyone. This sp is going to reach 50p by Christmas! Best top up soon!! You heard it here!
Ahh Persimmon... They can be delicious..
Did you see many properties in the region?
Does it have a nice pub on the river, with accommodation for 20?
Just checked it out Conforlni...Persimmon. :)
HG...we are alteady battened down. Hope you are too!
damasqueiro is the fruit
Mush, just like to add my congratulations ..live the dream my man, you and your family .. think there will be plenty more stories like this when GGP comes to fruition !
Hey mush. Make that me too !!! Good on you. We will celebrate!!
Hi Mush,
wishing you all the very best for Portugal! it sounds like heaven. all that self sufficiency. perhaps we could all drop in one day and try all your wine and port and talk about what an incredible journey GGP has been. to say that this stock is exciting and as life change is a gross understatement!!
I am a long way behind most of you all on this BB and only started my investment journey during the summer but I am overjoyed with this little "treasure trove" that is Greatland Gold. I owe all the credit to my father, (he knows who he is ;-) ) for all his expert advice. I really don't think I could have picked a better AIM stock then GGP. I would also like to thank you all for all the information and research that you have contributed to this BB. it has made my life a lot easier in seeing where progress has got to.
here's to the future of GGP and good luck to us all!! =) D4L
Yes that's the one and you are very welcome!
Hi mushy. So pleased for you and lady Mush. Lots of Águas Belas’s it appears. Is it the one to the NE of Tomar with the N238 running through it?
Just need to be sure where to go, for my next holiday! :-)
Strudel - The village where we are buying our place is called 'Aguas Belas' (beautiful waters) which I think is about as cool as it can get. :) It is some distance from the Spanish border being slap bang in the centre of Portugal. Apparently, there is someone in the village who makes sufficient wine to supply the local community. The ducks are lining up!
(Cheers to all who have sent good wishes btw)
We had a zoom meeting with our friends back in the UK earlier. One of them was having kittens when I said there was sufficient value in my isa to buy the place but I would not be selling any shares until the very last minute. Haha. I think they believe I am a daredevil! Hardly, not with GGP.
Mush, you may be on the wrong side of the border with your dream residence. Tomar is "to take" in Portuguese, but in Spanish it is the more amenable verb "to drink". Are you far from the Spanish border? The local town may be more pleasant when viewed from the east....
Sounds like pure bliss Mushy!
Just need the sp now to hit Mickey's £1.44 and ''everything will be right with the world'' (and I'll be purchasing the ''SS Scallywag'' for myself!)
;-)
It sounds idyllic Mush, you lucky chap :)
Max I wasn't that far away from you but we moved to the last town in West Yorkshire when I was 11... they called it plotting round here...not as good as chumping :)
Hi Mushroom, I've got an image of you picking ready-made wine corks off the cork tree, and sewing the excess corks onto Ozzie bush hats, ha ha
Well done Mushroom!
Always nice to hear someone beating/getting away from the daily grind of life ...
Congrats Mush, you are probably 6 Months further down the line than us with a move to Portugal...
Must have a look around Tomar! The Mrs wants to be in or near Porto, but plans can change...
Best wishes, Mush.
