Chairman's comments
"Spectacular. That is the only word that can adequately describe what has been achieved by the management and staff of the Company in 2023
No debt
World class Mine
That is the kind of RNS you want to wake up to
Ore Mined up 76.6% to 1,505,642 tonnes
Ore Processed up 82.1% to 1,513,977 tonnes
Zinc production up 79.1%
Gold production up 68.2%
Silver production up 40.1%
Lead production up 64.5%
How can one predict people's decisions and significant events by looking at chart patterns and rectangles?
My own price tracking graph is showing a very discrete double bottom at 82p, 13th & 15th. This looks quite insignificant on its own, but in my experience, it has often been a prelude to a significant rise. Hopefully, not tempting fate here, but hopeful for a decent showing in the New Year. Hairy Crimbo all, and may a decent return come our way soon.
And holding the AGMs in far-off countries to avoid being held to account by the share holders. At least I got a free coffee and biscuit at the last meeting I went to in London, that alongside a one cent dividend is all there has been in 20 years. With the SP stuck where it is now, new investors are going to want to see the prospect of some actual returns before buying in. The same old promise of Jam tomorrow on the back of sterling performance in the mine has worn as thin as my old underpants.
I'm appalled by the board's decision to keep profits to themselves. This move reeks of greed and disregard for the very people who made this company's success possible – the shareholders.
Hard-earned money has propelled this company forward, and yet, shareholders are left empty-handed while the board pockets the rewards. This blatant disregard for shareholders' investment pierces my trust and fills me with dread for the future of this company.
The board's actions scream, "You're just numbers, pawns in our game of wealth accumulation." This mentality is toxic, eroding any sense of loyalty or belief in the future of this company.
Their actions are a ticking time bomb, jeopardizing the company's well-being and the investments of every shareholder. I urge them to wake up before it's too late.
Market doesn't like this news, it could be a bad day here. Company should find out what the heck is going on and let the shareholders know!!!!
Whats going on with this Company, been generating funds for years, no Dividends for shareholders, just buybacks of shares , which have never been cancelled, and now we have a Director detained by the Chinese authorities.
If they are found to be any wrongdoings, what consequences will this mean for the Company.???
Worrying times !!!!
It has also gone quiet on the share buy backs
After a single dividend payment in 20 years of share ownership, my dear Dad died recently. It seems we are more likely to meet our makers than ever receive a share of the profits. It would be nice if the BoD could apply the same generosity to the shareholders as they do to themselves.
Can't be many cos who receive 10m$ but SP twitches .07%: but at least it's upward - for the moment. GLA
Edallen I too have been here since the beginning , I can remember when they did. pay a maiden dividend and that was it ,they are in the process of doing a share buyback, I am pretty certain that the company will either be taken private or sold ,the board are not getting any younger , I think they will try and fatten then share price up before. it happens, I have made huge amounts of profit on this share over the years but this time I am playing catch-up , good luck,
As a long term holder I am starting to get dissatisfied.... over the years they give out many options to benefit themselves but neglect the many private investors who support them. I am waiting for full years figures to see what capital they are sitting on. I note the chairman says they continue with an annual used mining of 1.5 million tonnes but having only mined about a 1000 tons in three quarters they will have there work cutout to achieve that. I can believe some of their mining resources are being used to develop zone II and reducing mining efficiency in zone III perhaps but it seems a poor statement in the recent 3rd quarterly results suggesting 1.5 m ton by end of year. How much longer can we support them without receiving even a very tiny dividend of encouragement.?
And this is while the share buy back is going on - dare not think the of the drop without the buy backs - obviously the board need to rethink shareholder value when looking at dispersing profits at the next interims
Another 4.5% down !! Uffffff
I agree that a dividend is long overdue. Even 0.9p would give a 1% yield and cost less than £2m. This might put the share on institutional investors radars. If this mine was in almost any other country than China the SP would be a lot north of £2.40.
The zinc price is very low at the minute but has been recovering - the last two days particularly.
Yes its just the nothing share/ company....just stagnates....Plenty of potential but does nothing.
I have been in for close to 10 years, I still think this company is way undervalued. However, it’s getting a bit boring. Dividend is a must.
With no dividend and no shareholder benefits it gets more and more difficult to justify. Being in for the long ride is O.K but how long ?
When on earth is this going to move North of 100p.
Becoming tiresome Griffin. Come on.
What happened to the zinc price just before 11am today? Up about $90 in 20 minutes
I am no longer invested and was worrying about a very positive result third quarter. It seems he is keeping cards close to his chest, but remember they are in share buy back mode and so will underplay any positive results. All I will say is "I have seen this pattern before and it usually results in a positive outcome further down the road, when least expected" Good luck to everyone, I hope I wont regret bailing out after all these years, but still believe another 40p - 60p is possible
Chairman Mladen Ninkov commented, "Another solid quarter of production with thanks to all the Company's officers, employees and contractors."
Clearly a man of many words :-)
Berenberg raises Griffin Mining price target to 130 (120) pence - 'buy'
