This test can be run on standard PCR instruments and analysed on a real-time qPCR machine as an endpoint. What this means is for very little capital outlay you can have a high volume screening lab. This is where the value and sales come
Bsinkers, we can all make our own with a packet of crisps and a dash of wishful thinking, same way we all make our own cars with rubber bands and a supermarket trolley
uk and usa have bottomed out but not even close to zero compared to the peaks, uk daily cases now 1,500 to 2,000 and peak was 4,500 to 6,000
usa daily cases now approx 20,000 when peak was only 30,000
mexico, brazil, chile, india - all either recording new highs or are only just reaching their peaks
those with stricter lockdowns seem to be better supressing the curve, especially in the wealthier countries, or should it be those with a population who follow the rules better
it might be argued that it has to be relative, because as testing capacity increases then you are likely to have the ability to find more positive tests, however it is the base level numbers in come countries are staggering
as most would agree, its going to be a case of living with the virus, not getting rid of it
i fully expect in 6 months time, you will need to have proof that you are not carrying / or recently tested positive for the virus to be able to do certain activities, be it travel, attending a concert/event or even amateur sport
Current value represents the HCV test and its potential sales imo, once we get confirmed orders for COVID we rerate to factor these in aswell. POC may be over a month away but by that point the world will be crying out for a localised easy test for airports etc
Yeh i know all this stuff which is why I invested in the first place. Its a great product. No denying. I’m just trying to see where the volume sales are going to come from, and at what price. I didn’t see myself holding this share for very long. Might have to change tact on that a bit.
Then again maybe the U.K. government brought these Swiss test as they knew they not that accurate. So they can blag the real figures to make out all is well when it not.
Good to ask these questions but GDRs is a superior test as it is a one step process and temperature stable which is unique on the global stage as far as our CEO understands
Gdr is the way to go. Easy and convenient to use. Gold standard test with 100% accuracy. I say again. 100% accurate.
Prob coz they were the easiest to access and best value at the time
Why the U.K. government use Swiss made tests?
I’m a bit concerned tho that countries will use their own tests. Why go external when you can make your own? India and US will defo have their own pharma companies producing. Might be different to GDR but if the test works, is cheaper and is home grown, why go GDR? Before you all go nuts at me...I’m just providing some questions that as investors we should ask
Doesn’t fill me with confidence about this situation. They putting everyone in harms way because of one man.
Yep thats what i was saying, daily increases are reaching new highs too
Think a lot of people are starting to join the dots. This complete denial that the virus has miraculously dissolved is because of bloody Dominic Cummings.
Have you guys seen the global COVID tracker: over 6.million confirmed cases. Look at the global chart - sadly it's going up

I think one needs to look at what sets GDR from the rt pcr competition:
Simplicity: adding a human sample directly to a manufacturerer prepared PCR pellet.
Being able to distribute the plates at ambient temps
Cytiva backing
CE marking (specifity)
I am new to this trading world and Firstly I want to thank everyone for keeping us updated with your research. Its a great help for person like me. I was looking at our competitors especially for indian market and came across this.
SARS-COV-2 Diagnostic pipeline
https://www.finddx.org/covid-19/pipeline/
Seconldy Indian council of medical research published this paper on 30th of May 2020 in which 86 RT-PCR kits have been evaluated and 36 found to be satisfactory and we are not there yet. Link is https://www.icmr.gov.in/pdf/covid/kits/RT_PCR_Tests_Kits_Evaluation_Summ_30052020.pdf
Keep up the good work.
@Lp, very few sales because they needed to wait for the WHO pre-qualification and country specific approvals which we have recently (last month) received for HCV, so there will have been minimal sales. This process of pre-qualification by the WHO which involved their clinical trials and outside of Genedrive's hands took longer than expected.
Although I've familiarised myself with the distis.
Their previous numbers with GDR aren't anything to shout about. Particularly in the emerging markets we claim to be targeting.
I'll reserve judgement until a sales update is received.
expect to see it appear on those websites when it becomes available
Great thanks Technic will have a look
Genedrive have two international distributors who are large international meditech suppliers
