Our man Gary McConnell may well be buying up everything that's being sold right now, easy flip for MM's if he's dictating the purchase price.
Last few times we were held in this range we had an TR-1 from him.
You mean, we need the gold out of the stone, just joking, I know what you mean.
We need the increased gold in stone then off to races
Surprised that we’ve dropped to this level, I had thought we’d left the 70s and 80s behind a week ago, but in all fairness, my other shares are doing similarly.
I think the lower price is simply driven by reduced free cashflow linked to:
> POG is under pressure @$1,755 ... AISC is low $1,250 so still $500+ profit/ounce
> BUT ,,,, Q2 Operations show low levels of gold production whilst they upgrade the plant
Looking at it another way GCAT launched on LSE Aug-21 so has been listed for 12 months with MCap & POG unchanged!
Aug-21 & GCAT MCap = £13m with POG @$1,700
Aug-22 & C+GCAT MCap = £13.6m with POG @$1,755
Is GCAT really worth only 5% more than it was a year ago considering massive CONFIRMED progress since inception?
> New open pit at Kilimapesa now operational
> Kilimapesa underground mine stopes doubled and being expanded
> Plant 1 & 2 refurbished @15ktpm throughput maintained
> Plant 3 Heap Leach with 20-30kt/month nominal capacity ... 3/4 pads now commissioned
> Plant 4 Heap Leach with 120kt/month nominal capacity ... construction underway
> Kilimapesa MRE confirmed by batch 1&2 infill drill campaign & 10-year LoM established
> Acquired Nyakafuru, Tanzania near-term mine build project with 658koz JORC
We also know that we have near-term updates in Q3 ...
> Plant 2 Tailings being upgraded from 15ktpm to 30ktpm throughput now underway
> Kilimapesa regional batch 3&4 expansion drilling campaign underway & revised MRE due Oct-22
> Nyakafuru infill & expansion drilling programme starts Sept-22
Not sure what all the fuss is about as we have a strong. capable management team who just keep delivering ... true they could provide us with more information in a more consistent and/or informative manner but hey they're busy!

What are people's thoughts on the lock-up agreement ending this month and how it might impact the share price? Should we expect increased selling pressure?
Agreement says holders can now sell with written consent of the corporate advisor but not sure what that means in practice?

Maybe people are worried about cash flow during this improvement phase; lower income with higher costs ? Then there’s the question of funding the improvements more generally.
Potential post election instability in Kenya can’t be helping either.
As the current value is fully underpinned by proven gold in the ground (with a means to extract that value in place) the risks seem somewhat limited to me.
Glad I am not the only one thinking this !!! Doesn't really add up for me although I am fairly new to trading !
There's something not right if we're back down at these prices
JerseyCrew, great joke, thank you !!
Like that one JC.
Brilliant JC pmsl
Trek - your post reminded me of an old joke:
A storm descends on a small town, and the downpour soon turns into a flood. As the waters rise, the local preacher kneels in prayer on the church porch, surrounded by water. By and by, one of the townsfolk comes up the street in a canoe.
"Better get in, Preacher. The waters are rising fast."
"No," says the preacher. "I have faith in the Lord. He will save me."
Still the waters rise. Now the preacher is up on the balcony, wringing his hands in supplication, when another guy zips up in a motorboat.
"Come on, Preacher. We need to get you out of here. The levee's gonna break any minute."
Once again, the preacher is unmoved. "I shall remain. The Lord will see me through."
After a while the levee breaks, and the flood rushes over the church until only the steeple remains above water. The preacher is up there, clinging to the cross, when a helicopter descends out of the clouds, and a state trooper calls down to him through a megaphone.
"Grab the ladder, Preacher. This is your last chance."
Once again, the preacher insists the Lord will deliver him.
And, predictably, he drowns.
A pious man, the preacher goes to heaven. After a while he gets an interview with God, and he asks the Almighty, "Lord, I had unwavering faith in you. Why didn't you deliver me from that flood?"
God shakes his head. "What did you want from me? I sent you two boats and a helicopter."
Back to Caracal - just how many pieces of the jigsaw does the market need to get the picture here! Final pieces coming soon I think.

I am really glad of the interview today from RM as tbh I have not called this one very well yet. Just as I see blue it then dips again below my average. I expected us to be in the 9’s by now.
One reason after another has been peeled back and yet even with the ops update, MRE, elections out the way, a ‘whale’ investor and more restated reassurances that we are on target for 24k the SP still at best treds water.
The market still needs to see that we can fund the expansion.
That looks to be our rerate RNS which could land anytime.
Just don’t miss that one as whilst it takes weeks and even months to drip down it can go back up again in a blink. Look at TXP recently on the EIA a near 100% gain.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see that type of pivotal reaction here.
Usual caveats

The other thing that springs to mind at the moment is: Warren Buffett once said that it is wise for investors to be “fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.”
If ever there was a time to get greedy - it is now and with this stock in my view.

The lovely thing is here is that a long term wait only means a matter of months in my view - maybe shorter given Robbie previously said that there would be clarity on if and how funding was going to be achieved, at the start of Q3. Very exciting.
Yeah get that totally but also trying to gain an understanding of the 'why' aspect lol
Trick is to focus on long term and try and forget the day to day.
Been buying on dips throughout the day most are showing as sells.
Any ideas what is driving the SP down?!?! Frustrating ATM......
