There always has to be one. Anyway, good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for the replies and book recommendation duly noted. Made my day reading this thread just now. That's a whole lot of genuine empathy.
Still on for the York party :)
I'm with you there, rattie. Had a similar early life - bombs/hardship/N.Service/ration books/discipline etc - but not the sadness of losing a spouse, I'm glad to say. Still chuggin' on, despite aches/pains and life's many annoyances.
I tell younger people - Don't get old, you won't like it.
Calamari
I sense a little emotion from yourself there ?
I was generalising in terms of the negativity versus positivity.
Chill …..
Congratulations...it's so great to read about the wonderful compassion and genuine support for our physically challenged posters. As one of the elderly (85) and my fiance 86,we were both bombed,I served 3years in the Army ending up a Sgt in 1959,just getting out as National Service was ending so no promotion for years, my wonderful wife died in1999,but was introduced to a year later to my fantastic fiancee, also widowed. So, why are we still here? She puts it down to rationing, I put it down to Army discipline and also positivity to the point of stupidity which is essential as a EUA investor. Also we both worked with our own businesses till we were 75 but obviously at a reduced level. Since then we have worked for a local Charity .We are so lucky so send our commisursions to those less fortunate, but are so humble to read your posts
Evening all.
Seldom check in here over the weekend, for obvious reasons. What pleasant reading today!
Love and good health to you all. X
Pompeyrod.
Hope to see you at anything that we can do meet.
Enjoy!
The thing is ….
90 percent of people here share hopes and dreams.
Been here a while and believe in our investment ….
10 percent try their very best to spoil it for us.
Filter or attack or ignore but …..NEVER let them change your mind. Long and a strong ….dyor as always
I know my wife was heavily involved with an HIV charity and some of our friends were subject to such bigotry and abuse. It was all based around ignorance, but things are changing.
A way to go yet though. But hopefully not too far off. Bit like EUA I hope.
You sound like a good guy Tenantry..be good to meet you sometime soon.
Today’s camaraderie is rather reminiscent of when I first bought in here some years ago.
Been nice today.. feet up with a nice red..hey ho..pompey
Oh no not the for ****s sake 50
Get a new one
Rickster, I'm sure you've heard it all before but you shouldn't have to need thick skin. Times have changed since the 70s and 80s and hopefully ill conceived prejudice will pass into history and be studied in the same way we look back on beliefs that are founded upon lack of knowledge and fear.
Peewee, Evan & all
Certainly ended the night with a few boilers after a skinful of grog , & one or two them could have done with a new heat exchange
Skilful trade peewee .

I'm lucky sir thoroughly enjoying g my life injuries were all in pursuit of fun and I've honestly been lucky to be here now enjoying life still.
No need to apologise for anything sir. Been so pleased to be part of a wonderful board today.
Great day all round all things being equal, seems like any gatherings on moving EUA forward will be a true celebration and bonhomie.
While you are here then, should my boiler be set on 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 its an Ideal FF350?
No
I’m a gas engineer
Why do you think I’m here invested
Finger on the pulse

You sound like a really nice guy Pompey, maybe we shall all meet up one day look forward to it. Your comments trading 4 good, I have to agree with everything you said, makes me wonder why we can't have this type of camaraderie during the week. Have to agree with WK, it would be nice for a meet up, we would certainly have plenty to talk about.
Evening all
Been out on the water all day
Decent Saturday Ambience on Deck , with no Bot Gimps .
In my eyes ,
Superb BOD # I hear the moans & grumblings on deck # time toxin # The Deal will get done
Superb investment opportunity # Green Energy Titan in a Green Energy Boom # Asset sale & Divi first
Superb Board of investors. # A rag tag bag of shipmates trying to earn a Buck
Time Toxin & market shenanigans erode the patience of any investor
& certainly got a lesson this week in orchestrated stock manipulation & toxic trading
# cheap stock grab
However in my eyes those are the only negative # Strategy will be Successfully completed
Saturday Rums all Round
It would be nice to be able to meet everyone once this is all completed. It's been a rollercoaster few years.
Ian, would it be possible to guess 10th February for the big rns please, haven't had a guess for a while and it's my birthday that date so fingers crossed!
Have a good rest of the weekend everyone :-)
Just looked in and some nice posts/ambience!
Pompey,
When this works out you'll have to get yourself the "Rolls Royce" of Mobility Scooters, I don't like the sound of Gruffles somersaults!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m not a British Bulls fan and I don’t trade or chart. But they have been about right recently.
Sorry to exclude you Tenatry…you deserve better ..seems we’re both winners today
Could this run continue to Monday…hope so..pompey
