Early start this morning Steello. I suspect we'll be played for a few more days. Want to see what the large after close shares reflect today. D.
Think they quoting 215 buy now st wow looks like another rollacoaster today have some shares in first group they got hit today but biff looking ok at moment but when you look at huge companies like voda takeing a hit from 229 to 197 in month or so it just goes to show anything is poss i think most pi are in red at moment be careful out there m
Got £5k at 216.54. Ste
I should have took it. Just tried again and was quoted 220. Blue day today here chaps
Hi all. Just tried to buy £5k on the bell. Quoted well over 2.18. What happened to the 2.13 close then ? The gits.
Haha me too!!! Good night my friend.
If this gets to three quid Steello we'll need to touch Base on another board cause' I'll be gone !!!!!!!! Good night. D.
If I'm close to knowing what I'm doing here, and I'm not totally convinced of that that enormous sell today at 213.80p should set the floor here for the rest of week. We must start tomorrow above that and stay above it for the time being otherwise MM's will lose money. The two buys after it were in the 217p / 218p range so who knows !!!!!! No more top ups for me guys. What is it I've got now Steello 2million+ that's a lot! !!!!!! I wish. Anyway I'm done four top ups later and just shy of 4500 shares at an average of 221p. Will do for me. Good hunting if you guys are still hunting. D.
Just a quick reminder of the broker forecasts a couple of weeks ago. As far as I can see, these are the latest : Jeffreries Buy 280.00p Reiteration numis Add 280.00p Reiteration UBS Buy 280.00p Berenberg Buy 300.00p Reassuring !
Couldn't agree more badger. There's nothing to say one of my other shares won't keep dropping. If it opens around 2.13/,14 tomorrow, I will sell something and buy a few more here. As we've seen here, it does seem to follow a daily pattern so here's hoping there's no other £700k sellers around :) I still think the mm's have done us at the end there and we'll open around 2.17/2.18. I like this board, I wonder what it will be like when we are all showing a big profit ? See you at the £5 party haha
Nail on the head Smokey, it's all about holding your nerve !!! See you've got the top up bug already. Bad news can come out about any share at any time most of the time without warning. To my mind we never had any bad news but alas we still got blootered' As far as I can see we are all in here reasonably averaged, although probably over extended slightly, but we are not stuck, one good days positive trading will put us all in profit, wish I could say that about my whole portfolio. D.
Yes steello i dont think anyone makeing money on shares at mo but this share was 290p a few weeks ago we should count our lucky stars ect we just have to keep our nerve see what tomm brings one thing for sure it we drop tomm im topping up ALB
2 late buys reported after that big sell late on today so I guess we'll open 2.17/2.18 in the morning. No chance for us mere mortals to get in at 2.13. Boooo
Hello oldbadger, It sure is a bumpy ride at the moment isn't it? I'm staying put, the minute I sell, it will fly to an all time high. I have fantastic timing at choosing the wrong moment so if anything, I'll sell something and add more. The divi gives us a bit of a cushion (pun intended). At the moment I think I probably have enough money in here to open my own store. Let's hope we get noticed soon and people start buying in. Gee this is a tough old game. Ste
I'm really suprised people haven't started loading up for the divi. It's less than 2 weeks away if I remember correctly. I've bought in anything between 2.15-2.26 and I'm £5k down on paper as we speak. I bet I can't get in to buy at 2.13 in the morning otherwise I'd be selling some of my other shares and loading up here. Averaging down and hoping for a rise is what I'll probably do now but it is bloody annoying seeing it drift day by day. I think they probably brought it down to fill that £700k sell so as per usual, I'm hoping it will start to rise tomorrow. As was pointed out, Advent sold to fund another purchase, not because there was anything wrong here. Let's just see what happens at 8am tomorrow an see what price it opens at. Good luck chaps
Yes welcome back Smokey, it's a wee bit of a mini roller coaster at the moment, you know the share well enough. Still loads of these smallish buy and sell trades I don't understand ?????? Download the link Steello uploaded very interesting stuff for the amateur. agm next Friday, ex divi the following Thurs. so you would think we would start down a different road maybe middle of next week. We'll see soon enough !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Steello why did you have to predict it perfectly today? D.
Thank you steello my limit is 205p anything less and im out on another note dfs should start share buy back instead of special divi would increase yield ect just thinking itv paid special divi has since dropped 50p or more in few months anyway cheers mike
Welcome back. Well timed Sir !
Ok guys back in game 215.9p hope i made right call sure i we will find out soon enough GLA
Ok badger / steello and all yes badger they advent paid 166m i think so they need cash in .Its not dfs i worry about its the other stuff going on at moment that could hurt sp prices who knows but around this price they got to be good value better than 290p any fall and i back in thats just how i trade at moment ps looks like biff on up rubbish got to be collected regardless of brexit ect good value at moment IMHO ATB you fellas
Hi smoke was wondering what happened to you. Look nothing wrong with being careful there's all sorts of ways of doing this, you've taken your profit that may well prove to be the right decision who know. Steello, Soleman and I have been swept up in the optimism here and are fairly confident in our choice. I don't need stop losses retired for the moment ! So never far from the tablet. That was an interesting bit of news, rest of us missed that, it's good to know their reasons for selling. Biffa's been very flat since ipo 180p. It's traded between 173p and 177p since. Half yearly out 30th this month I'm hoping there's info in there that gives it a wee push. D.
All the best Smokey. Always nice to see somebody making a profit. I'm not particularly good at spotting bargains so I'll stick with Dfs. From what I've read, this still looks like it's undervalued. Hopefully the market will agree over the next couple of weeks. Good luck with your next one mate. Ste
Ok badger im out of dfs at mo sold for tiny profit but watching to get back in i have also being burnt in past now i put stop loss on each share and dont budge to limit losses look at laird and itv down massive from month ago on another note noticed advent bought bremmer today so maybe thats why they sold dfs to get cash in badger am still in biff but all market flat today paid 174p so happy but as i said limit loss stop in place ok guys ALB
I remember GKP very well I had been in and out of them half a dozen times before the much talked of £4 + share price I had 2850 shares at an average of £1.50p.when the share was at its peak. Anyway was to greedy never sold and the rest is history not sure but I think I ended up bailing around a pound. I remember thinking I was a fool at the time but at least I got some of my money back. It took me a long time to realise that I hadn't lost £10k but saved £3k. I made the mistake of being to attached to the share " won't do that again " D.
Good morning chaps, today seems to be following the usual pattern. You guys have made some interesting comments. It's funny, I wouldn't consider my self a gambler, I never bet on horses or the football but it's actually exactly what I'm doing with my pension. I agree, the trades are put through to put us at a disadvantage at trying to guess which way the market's going. It seems to me that you can only look at the funadementals and any news that comes out and decide whether to place your bet. Aside from all that, I'm still quite happy here and will be sticking around. oldbadger, you got me thinking about gkp and xel again, one thing I remember about those companies was how many people lost fortunes thinking things would turn around. I remember the arguments there as people refused to accept they were dead ducks. I still feel sorry for those people everyday yet, as you say, the market makers still find a way of getting people to trade. Blimey I've bored myself so much, I've forgotten what my point was !
