Entry to the FTSE 250 & results should continue to drive the share price upwards.
Until it is resolved though the Sword of Damocles hanging over the Dark share price will continue to be the involvement of Mike Lynch's Invoke Capital in the Dark IPO. Mike Lynch has been warned on UK prosecution if the US extradition request for him is blocked in relation to his sale of Autonomy. Also the Government has announced that any sale of defence sensitive companies like Dark will be heavily scrutinised, which could act to suppress the share trajectory.
Agree with that Carliol. As well as being a good LTH, many funds and ETF's track the FTSE250 and will be required to buy Darktrace when it is admitted.
Providing the accounts look sensible later in the year, and there is a plan to move to profitability, I think this share has a great future.
Hi All,
Perhaps the steady price increase over the last few days is due to Darktrace being admitted into the FTSE 250 on Mon 21st June 2021.
The investment strategy of some fund managers is to have FTSE 250 companies included in the funds they are responsible for.
Today, so far so good. Let's hope this weeks trend continues.
Carliol
The trend is your friend. I agree on the momentum in this space and the collaboration with MS is very interesting indeed. We’ll get to know more in the results. The prospectus called out the risks but if the strategy is executed then according to one broker, I think it was Jeffries, worth multiples.
Hello S P,
We're all after a quick profit but there are times when patience is the key. Particularly, when investing in companies such as Darktrace where the potential could be enormous. The deal with Microsoft and the recent news items re the companies association with some of the Gulf States only reinforces my belief that we could be on a winner.
I wonder what today will bring?
Carliol
You guys have me to thank :) Sold for a loss at 339 and next day the shares headed north.
Talk about transference of money from the impatient to the patient
I invested in Dark shortly after the IPO and have topped up recently. My recent top ups and the profit from them is due more to luck than judgement. However, given the current proliferation of cyber crime from both criminal and state sources it appears that an investment in Darktrace could be extremely profitable.

Yes - June year end, but the results were out on the 19th July 2018 & I think the 18th July 2019. So the date of release seems very sharp. They have not announced a date for 2021 yet, but I would guess this will come in tandem with the announcement that they are in the FTSE 250, before the start of trading on Monday the 21st June. There should be some decent share price performance ahead as Funds and Institutions buy to balance out their commitments to FTSE 250 stock holdings.
Cheers Matt.
Mickey - Not that soon. Company has end June year end, so we won't get any form of trading announcement until well into July at the earliest I would have thought. Full year audited results unlikely to be available before August
Thanks. Anyone know the date results are issued? Struggling to find but am assuming over the next few weeks
Brokers' forecastsFri 13:28
Jefferies - buy - price target 500
Berenberg - buy - PT 450
Piper Sandler - neutral - PT 380
Grottyface posted the below here last Friday. I’m strongly leaning towards the 480/500 broker targets. Looks like people waking up to DT’s potential and importance!! This could be a very nice multi bagger in the years ahead and it’s a long term hold for me :-)))
Does anyone know the broker targets for Dark?
Also, what date are the results out?
Looks to be on a good run. I’m guess the stock overhang may being cleared.
