C) +2p as base case scenario for me (tad conservative).
At commencement of Drilling.
C) +2p as base case scenario for me (tad conservative).
The field needs to be proven up to have real value. This is something Arthur has a history of success with.
Even then we will only have 15% and a major would most likely want it all so not an option really unless sold to Essar.
I think keep it, develop it and bank the profits whilst working on other new projects.
That's the reason we are just the 'steering wheel' right now.
Well sorry if two off the cuff words sparked such responses.
It was all tongue in cheek but whatever.
Ummm I dont understand the steering wheel car thing!
Buying COPL at the moment regarding where they are in relation to other companies in oil & gas, would be like buying a steering wheel as a car
Bolton,
Couldn't agree more with your comments. More wells to our portfolio and see where we are in the years to come. Then maybe depending on our % the potential to be bought out..... but until then..... why on earth would be sell as a Shell..... never !!
I agree oilberta403 total nonsense the talk of copl being bought out. I am here to see if we drill and if we do hopefully expand our portfolio. We are a shell at the moment if we owed 80 percent etc of 226 then maybe a sale would be a potential but not our relatively small percent we have. Come on copl. Give us some good news.
reading all this nonsense about COPL being bought out, not a God damn chance that happens. There are far, far better M&A deals to be had in the oil and gas sector than COPL no offense. That is the biggest "ramp" statement I have read on this page omg lol.
I try not to get carried away or partake in any ramping activities but I feel you might be right here - the market is mental at the moment any spark from news here may result in a huge rise!
CawCaw,
You might get your 4p wish....market currently is in that kind of mood.
Given that all surrounding Producing fields found more Oil than originally anticipated, we being meat in the sandwich sitting on potential +5 Billion barrels (from all 3 zones). Even with the conservative 25% recovery rate applied (higher than 25% in my view)...that is lot of Oil.
After news next week with a drill date, we could say good bye to 0.30's for good as this would re-rate proper. If we also get some guidance on drill date also, then I would expect this to run towards +1p in double quick time.
2p on drill commencement should not be difficult...being conservative.
Commencement of drill = 4p in my mind.
Retail wants to get excited. Retail is trying to make up for lost time. Heck look what retail tried to do with Hertz AFTER BK.
A Cinderella story like this hits every note, plus has a good potential of being real.
I think that the correct estimate is "value of company" plus "added insanity from 2020 nonsense market".
Thanks baserite, same happened last night near 5pm at same SP, 0.36p
Not sure about A, B, C, D
but I do remember Mr Nation's +1.5p pre-drill.
That will do nicely for now.
Shaa a rollover is somebody who is dealing on usually a t20 who is allowed to ‘rollover’ the trade. This can only happen once -they sell and buy back a little higher normally on a pretty tight spread without any settlement required as long as the second trade is higher than the original.
Fair play mate that's a nice buy - should do very well from here over the coming days/weeks and months ahead
Bladderman, is roll over, I want shares but the markets have now closed, so the MM’s sold to me at a higher price then the close price?
MMs know that a finish above 0.35p is the buy signal to the market. Evidently they tried to pinch a few more. Think we will finish tomorrow at above this threshold with or without news
Coming together now
Nice roll over buy just appeared for £15k at 0.36p
A. 0.5-0.6 if as expected else sub 0.2
B. 0.75p
C. 1.25p
D. Not a clue

Without trawling back through posts, what was
