I took it in good spirits Brig, and enjoyed the follow on facts there too. My follow on comment wasn’t intended to be harsh either. I am really interested to see where we go next on NFT stuff. Every other leisure pursuit has gone digital - why not collecting.

Nelsonthedog - It was meant lightheartedly and a little tongue in cheek, however the emoji I put on the end to indicate that did not reproduce. That said, the Rock and Roll comparison is not entirely without substance:
Philately in the Rock Star World
Celebrity philatelist John Lennon started collecting stamps in the 1950s. His cousin, Stanley Parkes, was the person who introduced Lennon to stamp collecting and provided him with his first album. Lennon was able to amass a large number of stamps from across the world when he attended boarding school with boys from foreign nations, and they gave him their stamps. Lennon drew characterizations on the stamps, often adding beards or mustaches.
The Smithsonian National Postal Museum purchased Lennon’s stamp collection, with over 550 stamps, for $53,000 in 2005. This collection is now on display there and can also be viewed on the museum’s website.
Famous Stamp Collector - John Lennon
The list of celebrity stamp collectors also includes Freddy Mercury, AKA Farrokh Bulsara, lead singer of Queen. Mercury inherited the love of stamp collecting from his father. He often worked on his stamp collection at his home in India when he was just a young child. Mercury’s father, Bomi Bulsara, sold Mercury’s stamp album in 1993, just two years after Mercury’s death in 1991 from AIDS.
Mercury’s collection was purchased by the Royal Mail for the collections of the British National Postal Museum and Archive. Bulsara donated the money from the sale to the AIDS charity known as The Mercury Phoenix Trust, a charity that was established by former members of Queen.
Ronnie Wood, another rock star and guitarist who has made the famous stamp collectors list, has been a stamp collector for years in addition to his work with The Rolling Stones. Wood started collecting stamps after completing alcohol rehabilitation. He uses rare stamps, which he collects as subjects of his paintings.

Thanks for the article - I was aware of the stamp rise in popularity but interesting article. If you found my comments at the far end of the anti stamp pendulum swing, I am pretty sure that your it’s the new rock and roll statement is at the opposite end of the swing.

I rather think that many of the estimated 60 million stamp collectors around the world would take issue with you on that. This isn’t the first Crypto NFT stamp - maybe you don’t realise that stamp collecting is the new rock and roll ??

Playing silly buggers with the price today. Only looks like 1 sell. My buy went down as a sell too
Yup. Pretty cheap to buy here today
Cryptos looking very strong this afternoon. Any break higher in BTC and this will rocket IMO.
Think of it as NFTs with a linked tangible artwork related to blockchain technology issued by an institution with links the the UK Royal Family. Ticks quite a lot of boxes IMO.
If you watch some of their recent podcasts they explain this was a starting project. The reason for creating the lab goes beyond stamps.
Thanks Brassneck - I see your point and do recognise that blockchain tech process. Just stamps don’t catch the imagination nowadays.
I have some sympathy with you on the stamp front, not the headline grabbing area.
However, I think it is more about establishing the principle of limited edition/multiple version NFT which a stamp will do. In the long term it won't be individual works of art such as beeple that will drive revenue it will be limited edition NFTs of 1000 of this or 1000 of that.
The stamp proves out this concept so you could then start doing a 1000 limited edition picture disc of Taylor Swift's new album or selling the 300 seats on an aircraft with NFT tickets, producing NFT concert tickets or hotel room bookings that were also the key to the room. It's the mass adoption of the technology that will drive real revenues. I'm hoping COIN are at the leading edge of this and will be a long term player.
Sorry - young persons craze - not just men (though statistically men are more prone to collect and hoard at present in uk
I am curious as to other investor views of coin NFT exposure. I saw the Gibraltar stamp tweet and thought this isn’t the right content for nifty labs. NFT = Young mans craze so shouldn’t we be in sports/ celebs / e sports / licensed products. Stamps ffs - I am sure the holders of Stanley Gibbons will be making like an eclair and creaming themselves with excitement.
Can anyone advise what NFT deals we have other than stamps?
Yeh without doubt as crazy as we might think it is and may not personally ever buy an NFT this stuff. No doubt football clubs and players will also be big in this.
Agreed think we could actually see many more bags than people think on the right news just look at Kr1 on the otc they took that to $3
Similar things could happen hear
I see Lindsay Lohan has tweeted her new NFT and so has Khabib from UFC. It's really just the start.
