The Board of Shanta Gold Limited ("Shanta") notes a recent press article and confirms that it has received approaches from Shandong Gold Group Co., Ltd ("Shandong"), Yintai Gold Co., Ltd ("Yintai") and Chaarat Gold Holdings Ltd ("Chaarat") which may or may not result in an offer for the Company.
This news will probably bring the CGH (and AAZ) share price back down with a bump tomorrow……

3rd in just over a year - what is going on?
“…The Kyzyltash gold deposit is really the key prize in the entire resource. There’s significantly more resource potential available in this in this area for Chaarat…”

“…When war broke out it was gold that surged, not bitcoin, which has lost a third of its value in the past six months. This year’s events indicate that rather than moving independently bitcoin tends to behave somewhat like a speculative tech stock…”
One way to invest in Gold is to simply buy the physical. Another way, of course, is to invest in gold miners directly, which – if chosen wisely – can offer premium returns above the gold price, through dividends and more rapid appreciation than the product they sell. Here are a few small cap gold miners worth checking out:

Directors bought in higher so probably prices of metals gone down I hope
Just topped up myself
Anyone have any views on the recent slump?
“…This is a very easy project. It’s an open cut oxide heap leach project and will enable us to very easily extract gold from this resource…”

Back in Sept 2019 when this was at 34p I posted my opinion here that the company is massively overvalued and is being manipulated. I said that if it were to go to 40p I would consider shorting. I should have followed my own advice! SP peaked at just above 40p in Feb 2020 and again in Aug 2020 and have been sliding since. Revisited my view in Jan 2021 at 29p and posted my conclusion here - "this company is a joke" - and was laughed at. Well, it's now 15p. I still think it's a joke. Next stop 9p? I might consider buying at that level ;)
Very unfortunate news today. Hopefully we get some information in to how they can stop this happening again - can’t allow it to become commonplace, 2 too many.
“…Our ambition absolutely is to grow our business and add more ounces into the portfolio…”

This share is massively under the radar which is such a shame.
Today's results, plus previous director buys at a higher SP, and even the change of Broker rating/target from 60p to 70p this morning should be having a better impact that it is currently.
“…We can operate in these jurisdictions. Chaarat can develop good projects and we will be rewarded…”

Extremely strange share buying pattern today????
I've only been watching this for a month or so but having looked over (all?) the available material I really feel like its undervalued at its current share price. It has pretty much hit an all time low (since 2017ish), but they've come so far! I managed to grab a small holding for flat 20p, will likely increase over time as and when my other current investments come through. I personally see this as a reasonably reliable road to expansion of resource in a short space of time (relatively speaking).
As someone who is quite active in a fair few mining stock communities (if thats the right way to phrase it!) I have only ever seen this mentioned once ever. I wonder if the low volume and likely lack of notoriety keeps the share price pretty low? thoughts?
I have been holding this for about two years now and in the past year it has taken some beating. But I think with inflation going up these type of stocks usually do better. I do still believe that it is undervalued. What do you guys think intrinsic value is?
“…The word ‘significant’ is appropriate for an asset that offers us 300,000 ounces production which then moves us into that mid tier…”

It's been a slow burner, but I believe the tide is turning. A hugely positive RNS and more buying from MA.
