Enjoy using your tool kit Sotolo, I am sure its will be a great diversion during these turbulent times!
It is amusing to see Cey popping in and out of the top 200 shares, in the Sunday Times each week, into the 190’s and then out again. Today however it is up to 171, the highest for a long time, as other shares have fallen much more. Good old Cey. Fres also up the list, but Hoc which is only in the ftse350 must be way down.
On another note great to hear from Prof as ever, I too did a single sell of a small parcel, a couple of weeks ago, and bought back slightly lower making £600 which I have used to buy a battery tool kit with the aim of doing lots of mending and making jobs while stuck at home. I too bought back far too soon as they then tumbled. However better than what I have done before, sell then shares shoot up and frightened into buying back before they tumble again. So on the whole I don’t trade, as overall this is a losing strategy for most people. But happy with my tool kit, other than now I may have to use it.
Hi Dealts & Prof,
This fantastic members have made this board something special and a source of information and support that is lacking from every other forum that I have ever encountered on the web!
I don't have the courage or know how to trade these shares up and down but must have some admiration for those long term members that do.
So well done Prof on making your £1k, I am sure the drop in SP wont last long, the good times are coming for Centamin
Good to hear from you dealts, as you say the odds are stacked against us mortals so there is great comfort in staying together!
Thanks Prof for the reply. I have also tried to sell a few and buy back cheaper but to be honest never really been successful at it,as soon as I sell it normally goes up! Still glad I sold lloyds which I had for many years for 61p recently which was lucky really just before Corona. Bought into Greatland Gold over a few years which I feel will do really well, they have a very informed poster who comes across very genuine and knowledgeable, anyway I digress as I said before their are lots of very pleasant posters that I have a lot of respect for here and feel that we all want to be apart of being part of a successful and profitable company. I wish you all the very best.
Hi Dealts,
The optimist in me says it was just people taking profit after an exceptional strong share price recover over the week. I am hoping that with gold at this level we will see a return to the 130s on Monday although I suspect that will depend on broader market confidence. Interestingly while the DOW was significantly down for the day it came close the being positive in late hours. Let us hope that this too was just a pretty weekend sell off after a good few days.
Sold 40,000 late on Thu at 138-139 and bought them back within the half hour at 136-137. Was feeling rather pleased with myself for that quick £1k until yesterday's fall when I kicked myself at having gone back in. Hey ho.
With gold at this level and oil through the floor provided CEY can keep production going then it should be a magnificent year. I still would not be surprised to over £2 at some stage in 2020.
Best wishes,
Prof
Surprised that we took such a hit yesterday with the pog holding above 1600, I presume we are still producing and are virus free. Dipped my toe in again at the death, which I said I wouldnt do, must be something about this share that makes you want to come back for more (punishment!!!) Still a great blog on here with some interesting views and I certainly dont think Market22 is an oddball and still enjoy Razors edge summaries in the morning,in fact to all who contribute a thank you, to know there is others out there trying to beat a system which as Mr Tibbs would rightly say is slanted against us mere mortals. After all to quote that famous line,""tomorrow is another day" lets hope its a good one! Best health wishes to all.
