Hi MrGnome,
What is needed is a legal challenge again these artisanal miners , from our experience that should close them down for the next 12 years!
Hi Madtaway,
Possibly you think that Poland was the aggressor before Hitler invaded ?
Putin is using the same reasoning and tactics as Hitler .
Germany began its invasion on the morning of September 1st following the Gleiwitz Incident. This incident saw German soldiers pose as Polish troops and invaded a German radio station. Naturally, the radio station reported that Germany was under attack and German citizens became fearful of a Polish attack against Germany. In reality, the Nazi's had staged the incident to create a propaganda campaign that would favour a German attack against Poland.

The war in Ukraine was fomented by disinformation and information warfare will be part of the battle.
In the UK we have seen a little of this, for example after the Salisbury poisonings. In 2018 Russia put numerous narratives into play with the aim of causing confusion and indecision rather than convincing lots of people of one false narrative
Fullfact checkers are liaising with peers across the world to track and counter false claims. You can help people stop the spread of disinformation by sharing these tips on spotting false information.

The terms on the permits on offer are the very onerous terms of yesteryear, with a few other complications. Would not be rushing in. Great for the illegal miners though. I wonder how many of these are from China or the middle east or from "political pennies" Its totally unacceptable what the artisinals and "small scale miners" are doing in Egypt. They must have some suporters up high to get away with this. Have a look in Google Earth

Europe’s options for filling its natural-gas stores to avoid a winter energy crisis are narrowing as flows from Russia decrease and U.S. shipments are poised to stall, sending gas prices higher.
Russia’s Gazprom PJSC said Wednesday that flows through the Nord Stream pipeline to Germany would fall further, a day after it cut exports on the route by 40%. The state-owned energy giant said it had turned off another turbine engine at the Portovaya compressor station, which pumps gas through the subsea pipeline, due to maintenance delays.
Further concerning gas traders already on edge due to the war in Ukraine, Gazprom cut the volume of gas sent to Italy by 15% compared with Tuesday. Italian gas and oil company Eni E -4.44% SpA, the country’s biggest importer of Russian gas, said Gazprom gave no explanation for the cut. Well they might look at the steaming 10 year bond spread rate. On Wednesday the ECB held an emergency meeting to address the problem of Italy, and to a lesser extent Greece. The ECB wants to damp down the rising heat in Italian bonds, where the 10-year yield rose to 2.48 percentage points above Germany’s before falling after the ECB action. Hard to believe there is anything like productive output in Europe totally, and of course we have al heard the stories aboutt he effiicencies in Greece and Italy
Gazprom didn’t respond to a request for comment. AND WHY WOULD THEY BOTHER, THEY HAVE SPOKEN A FEW TIMES NOW VEYR CLEARLY IN THE MARKET.
Having just spent few days in Brussels, where the ridiculous layers of bureacracy are astonishing, and it follows the cost of making decision is painfully slow and ridiculously high cost?!!! It is a wonder to me that anything gets done in Europe at all, except for talks, reports, conferences and meetings.
Going to be a chilly winter, and perhaps that will bring them to their senses.

Hi Cowichan,
You may well recall in the past "Mac" used to often describe how he often came across these artisanal operations and how they were shipping the gold out of the country by the truck load with virtually no interference by any officials or police.
Hi Tony,
Glad I was able to help in some small way, sorry for the typo's in the first paragraph of my introduction, I was using my wife's Apple and I always forget her defaults settings are different to my laptop, still you get the drift!

Come on gold, crypto hammered
and at just 15km (or 37km ?)from Sukari — who should win the rights?

(Om Aud, Hanjaliya, Atud, Baramia, Fatira) Gold Mines.
One of the best sites and ancient gold mines in Egypt, and these are the latest pictures of the mine. It is a very promising and wonderful area for a large presence of gold. In this area there is a lot of random gold mining.
The main cave has become at a depth of 200m and they are still extracting gold from quartz veins and the alteration zone. The rocks of the area are very special. It really is a very special area for whoever gets it.
This mine is about 35 km away from the main road to Edfu Marsa Alam, from the beginning of the Red Sea in the direction of Wadi Ghadir, approximately 37 km, from the Sukari Mine is approximately 15 km. It is adjacent to the Hanjalya mine and is 15 km away.
Those who work in these areas need wisdom and intelligence in dealing with them because they produce large quantities of gold from these areas.
The Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El-Molla, will announce the offering of 5 gold areas in an international auction at the International Mining Forum that will be held in Cairo on July 4th, next. It is one of the 5 most important and richest areas for gold in the Center Eastern Desert in Egypt.

the last LinkedIn post I shared showed Centamin's security team having a BBQ with the exploration team it's protecting — that's good because 'kicking out' these artisanals who've been digging down deep illegally for many years might result in some 'altercations' to say the least
Nah year to date bitcoin down 60% whilst cey down a mere 12% and both appear to be going on opposite trajectories. Maybe the crypto Ponzi schemes will catch a bid come next week but I wouldn't count on it so I'm out.
Steve how much have you received in dividends from your crypto holdings? If you add them all together. Just a ball park figure?:)))
Thanks for sharing Mrtibbles,
It has confirmed what I hoped it would be in that market sell off was the reason likely for the drop and not another disaster they were saving alongside a bit of good news. As far as the investor relations know it appears that everything is working as planned although they are possibly hinting a lot of news flow has slipped into the H2 schedule. We are of course on to them as they rewarded themselves so well and did tell us the reserve and resources update was being prepared for delivery in quarter 2 and not H2. They may just get something out on either Sukari or Doropo this week but I would only give it 50/50. Cheers Tony
Alas BTC is now pretty much as bad as CEY in terms of drop from its all time high...
Bitcoin well under $20k as I write that puts 50% of those holding under what they paid. Scramble to exit being hampered by dodgy trading platforms. Knew it would all end in tears. Some saying it's a buying opportunity, would you? Goes to show you can't beat gold as a store of value, onwards and upwards.
goldgnome - 7kg of gold/tonne. I've been reading up on mining industry and believe the technical term for this sort of grade is "WOOHOO." No wonder they want to add a gravity circuit to the processing plant
Hi Tornado, and other fellow share holders,
An officail in not somewhat patronising response from the comapny which comes across as lacking in sincerity and does not in my opinion take retail investors financial commitment or concerns seriously!
As previously indicated, we have a pipeline of news flow coming up over the next 6 months. These are big pieces of work which require a large amount of detailed technical work.
As you know, we have been conducting a number of long-term technical studies and programmes on our growth projects. We continue to work on these and look forward to updating the market on the outcomes through the second half of this year.
We have noted the move in Centamin’s share price which is not the result of any news from the Company, but reflects current market trends. We feel that it is not for us to comment publicly on general market trends or macro factors impacting on the share price.
However, please do rest assured that we are acutely aware of these trends and are always looking into ways to address them through our corporate and communications strategies.
p,s . Centamin Investor Relations are now on annual leave for the next two weeks so replies may be take longer than usual.
Hi Steve,
I can fully understand your point of view and share your frustrations,we all like to think, hope that good, or right will prevail in life, but this 'Cause" has always been a case of "David and Goliath' and shows just how powerful are those who control the present corrupt market manipulation system.
It's never easy going up against the establishment, in any walk of life and there are always those with more more power and indeed vested interests than ethical beliefs, what is happening in Ukraine, Brazil, The Amazon, the Congo, Tanzania, Nigeria, China, etc,etc are all cases in point !
Unfortunately the last general election, Brexit an the pandemic came along, prior to those an MP with Andrews help was in the final putting together a paper on precious metal manipulation This paper had the support of other cross party MP's due to concerns raised by their constituents and this was due to be subject of a full parliamentary debate, unfortunately the MP stood down because he felt couldn't support Boris and his cronies.

Last interim Dividend was 4c, and that was declared August 5th 2021.
That's only 6/7 weeks away if they do the same in the first week of August. 2020 was 6c (4th August)
A 5c dividend would have an impact of around 5%.
"There is quite a song and dance ABOUT DIVIDEND PAYMENTS, so be surprised is this is not a continued feature."
Thats an interesting presentation 3Bear.
The word CONSISTENT APPEARS REPEATEDLY, which is great to hear. Pardedy would battle with understanding this concept.
Some of the underground grades are spectacular, and dependingon how thiey mine this, could be worth a lot more than the SPOT price, as it would be marketed as speciment gold soce, GOLD OF THE PHAROHS!? You can get us$25k/ozs for the right specimen and right narrative. https://www.irocks.com/minerals/specimen/50026 26 composite samples at ave ~500 gpt Au [16 ozs per ton!] and max sample an astonishing 7,000 gpt Au [225 ounces of Au!] which could be worth us$5m ? My imagination is running away with me!
DOROPO is looking solid with a 13 year mine life, at LOM AISC us$900, and a nice payback. Intrigued at some of the flat dips and the form of the deposits, and I would not at all be surprised for the project to grow beyong its 5.4m ozs total resource base.
Lets hope they add 3 m ozs reserves, get to 500k ounces per year in 2024 and 10 year underground mine life.
