Challenger Energy Group PLC (AIM:CEG, OTC:BSHPF), the exploration group focused on the Atlantic margin, said a £1.5 million strategic investment from Charlestown Energy Partners allows the company to kick off technical work on licence AREA OFF-3 offshore Uruguay at the 'earliest opportunity'.
So now we could see a deal like we have with Chevron in Off 1 playing out in Off 3 also. Good times ahead ...

No, no need to worry, share value to goes up , number of shares goes down.
I'm sure there will be some trolls along to tell you to sell now though. Please don't .

Should we be worried about this?
This is good news and l hope the trolls stay away. just think where we would be if we didn't have Uruguay. Eytan has done some good deals and at least we have a future and something to get excited about. Who would have thought we would be playing with the big boys. Been here since Leni oil and gas.
“Charlestown's investment, coupled with our low overhead and the attractive carry arrangements in the Chevron farm-out, puts us in an excellent financial position, with no need for further capital for the foreseeable future.”
Another Eytan master stroke.
GLA DYOR
Morning - Cant really see how anyone could put a negative spin on that - always look at the details with these kind of thing, but on review looks a very clever piece of funding and a very good deal for shareholder - once again the strengh of this underpins the SP and demostrates the institutional "want" to get involved. Great deal
I don't know what is worse. My beloved Man City getting beat on a penalty shootout by Real Madrid at The Etihad or being the whipping boy for a torrent of abuse by fellow CEG shareholders. For the record. I am not a troll. My friends and I are genuine investors, and between us, we have well over six figures in CEG, so I do feel I have a right to express an opinion. All I am saying is to be measured in your posts. It is a super high-risk share, as are all oil exploratory companies, but Eytan does look like he is doing the business after the disaster of Simon Potter. The deal with Chevron looks on paper to be very strong for CEG Shareholders. It is a binary company, so there is no mistaking that. If Uruguay fails, the lights will go out, but let's hope and pray that it doesn't. I, for one, would be very, very happy if they hit black gold in South America, and I wish all fellow shareholders Willow and Incendros included the best of luck. Final words be measured in your posts. GG.

Druid - there were disappointed bidders for some licences.
Eytan acknowledges he was fortunate there was no competition for the first licence but if you listen to the story of how it came about in the recent video you’ll understand that CEG worked hard for their luck.
Has it occurred to you that Uruguay Government like the cut of CEG’s jib in that CEG forged ahead with the seismic development at a good pace and ultimately landed a well heeled suitor in Super Major Chevron!
Time to get behind your shareholding Druid they’ll be plenty of real trolls for me to banter with once this starts to heat up!
BTW what on earth possessed you to post at this hour - you are lucky I’m still up!
ATB!
In4,
...there such a scramble that a little struggling company like us to elbow out the big guns, 100's of them.
OK.
How much are you down on this, willeck. A long way to go to get to breakeven.
GarryGraham- rereading my post about Timid Trolls and your speculation about Chevron pulling out last minute what about speculating that Chevron didn’t know about the duster and that could be their get out - of course that would be to your detriment in respect of the claimed recent investment- intriguing eh!

Timid Trolling!25 Mar 2024 16:45
Willec - GarryGraham is an interesting case study on the Trolling spectrum - as the heading suggests he is a Timid Troll - instead of slating the company he pops up from time to time, makes some neutral/ positive comments, whinges a bit then slips in the negative comment.
I remember the pattern from the lead up to the Bahamas drill - found it difficult to believe he’d actually invested having regard to his state of anguish he’d been in then, when it failed, the buyers remorse kicked in big time!
If his posts are genuine it’s difficult to understand why someone with that attitude is prepared to go another 10 rounds with the company on a new drill venture whilst pooping their pants at each stage.
Furthermore in such a scenario why highlight negatives if you are genuinely invested - by way of example I give you fairly recent post where instead of just saying the Chevron deal is not complete until everything is agreed, including Government approval he decided to speculate that Chevron had included last minute caveats in the deal. He may be correct but why introduce that little bit of extra speculation based on zero knowledge - I could easily speculate that Chevron have done so many deals historically they have a rigorous tick box list to complete and want to see all the evidence before they even release the news they’ve done a deal because pulling out at the last moment suggests they didn’t do proper due diligence in the first place which is not great for a Super Major!
I wish all shareholders success in this venture - there’s plenty of proper trolls about - they don’t need your help!
Totally agree, Gary comes on here acting like he's asking genuine questions which actually are pretty clearly leading questions. Then BOOM starts talking like the whole of offshore Uruguay is devoid of anything. Which is BS because they have hydrocarbon shows in many areas.
Just green bin and report GaryGlitter . Just a troll as on many LSE boards. No life Low life scum.
ATB GLA & DYOR
GarryGraham- in the light of the historical information about the Total drill it’s intriguing that there was such a scramble for the Uruguay licences, not to mention the Chevron $12.5 million deal for a part share.
Even more intriguing is why you’ve bought more in this very recently!
The trolls on this board are so desperate they post anything which sounds negative as they know drilling in Argenina is due to start very soon and news from OFF-3 and OFF-1 is due throughout the year.
Chervon would not be involved in OFF-1 unless the block had good prospects.
It baffles me why people are so negative here. If I felt negative I would sell up and leave the board, but for some reason you have joking idiots posting on a board for which they have no shares in the company - how sad is that.
What is the point of joining a chat board when you have no shares and no interest of investing - pointless activity.
These trolls are just pathetic losers with nothing worthwhile to live for but post absolutely nonsense and rubbish about dusters etc. We have not even spudded or got 3D yet, but when it comes to drilling we will drill.
Total Energies plc Drilled to a record low of 3400 metres in an area not far from Block 1, and the only thing they discovered was
DUST. GG
A duster then
