MarketWatch are reporting that the USA short interest increased slightly on 28 March to 1.14M shares.
Interesting!
I did, sold 20% to trade but has not dropped yet. Just the way it goes and sure I'm not alone!
But im up on Tesco, Easy Jet, Lit Finance to name a few! This year seems to be a bull market so far it seems.
I hope no one attempted to trade what looked like a potential pull back as would have missed this rise. Fingers crossed we'll see a nice breakout 🤞
Burford had good day on NYSE, closing 46c, 2.9% higher at $16.40, in GBP at 1.266 = £12.95p. Barchart now asserts 100% strong buy.
There is no way milei would not respect our American court judgement , bar milei getting taken out of office or killed, it's plain to see he will negotiate that $16 billion dollar award when his legal options have run out, just look at this link below were he just can't get close enough to the American administration and forces, anyone who admires America like this certainly won't walk away from a American court judgement against Argentina. " Money in the bank I say." There's still plenty of time to pick these shares up very cheaply./ Like Right now.

BBH 11.50 ? That truly is the exact figure I’m hoping for , have to say I’ve enjoyed seeing the high twelves though. And think we will now play between 11,60 -1260 hopefully
FFC
You might want to get your wallet out.
Might go down to 1150 in the next couple of days,
What’s your view
It wouldn't be Burford capital if the share price wasn't going up and down like a yoyo, though it seems to eventually get much higher than some investors ever imagined, $20 dollars a share isn't to much to ask for here.
Javier milei is visiting Miami next week and then on to other meetings, According to his official agenda, the President is also scheduled to head a series of mostly business meetings on US soil. So you can be reasonably sure milei wouldn't be asking for the American business leaders help if he had any intentions of not respecting the American judiciary and it's court led court awards, so we can expect to get several billion dollars into Burfords coffers in some type of payments plan.
The share price can do whatever it wants today or tomorrow because we know it's heading above $20 late this year or early next year. Just look at its asset increases every from 2019, tell me that's not a fantastic increase in your personal wealth, hold tight I say.
Net Asset Value per Share $14.06 $10.31 $9.03 $8.10 $6.35

Big drop off after hours today..down to $15.4. Still holding. Not selling any until it's at $20, and then a small slice only to get some funds
Looks like I may have wait to invest new allowance as not so sure this hasn’t already found the new high ???
That said anybody know is there an “ isa” in the US ? And when it is ????
Accomp very easy mistake converting dollars/ pounds back and forth, with me it's usually euro's and pound's LOL.
There could be huge value in Burfords low share price right now, plus the opportunity to get a slice of this Argentina settlement award that Burford has already won, yes milei might take this right up to the USA supreme court to stretch this out to its maximum to allow himself more time to accumulate more dollars into his coffers for a dollarization programme, though the supreme court might quickly reject it outright, it's to obvious of a wrong doing by Argentina to merit looking at the YPF case again. The massive amounts of daily interest charges ? I actually don't think that milei cares about this accumulating interest money at all or very little, WHY ? Because milei knows if he offers Burford $8.4 billion dollars right now or next year burford will grab it with two hands and run to the nearest high interest bearing bank. This is not a ordinary type of American case where interest can be accumulated wrote up by a judge and then paid by the losing party, when it gets up to these levels then $16 billion and counting , then massive amounts of money will be knocked off to get this all closed down and settled, that unfortunately means writing off billions of dollars of damages and interest payments to finally get this massive case settled. That's just everyday litigation norms and to be expected.
I'm very confident we will get to those ZACKS analyst price targets and possibly much more if Argentina pay out.

GTX you rightly correct my message, most tpaftermarket trades in us were around $16, with the last trade of just 2 shares at $16.6.
GTX, your comments on the value here are absolutely correct, they are active across many types of action in many types of business, with a great reputation to support their market leading position. My investments here have transformed my finances.
GLA
Accomp it may be helpful if you change your $13 dollar symbol of the dollar sign to a £ pounds sign in your post , as this may make some people think our share price has sunk in New York over night .
Gla
That brings us to a share price of £15.91p without any input or benefit from our YPF case big win , which should run into many billions of dollars, which ever way you cut this Burfords shares are massively undervalued right now.
Gla
I guess you have to take the after market share price with a pinch of salt then ,
Try this then accomp.

Having got quite excited by GTX message I had a further look on Nasdaq site, which shows 1312 shares traded in yesterday’s after hours, the majority of which at around $13, but the last trade at 18.49pm was for just 2 shares. Nothing was showing yet for pre-market activity.
However I expect some excellent results to come through, and am disappointed that broker forecasts are still not recognising the potential.
After hours trading in New York has left their A/H share price at $16.66 , though that might change , does this mean we're possibly going higher today or very soon ? There's no real justifiable reason for it not to go to £13.16p here very soon.

Ashmore's (brief) latest :
.."Argentina: The monthly economic activity index declined 4.3% yoy in January, an improvement over the 4.5% yoy contraction in December and ahead of survey expectations. The index was boosted by the agricultural sector but saw a decline in manufacturing."
Slowly, slowly...

Chew on this morsel . 88 percent strong buy.

1) Nice catch! Article 29 (now referred as Article 55 in the new revised Decree) will be sent to Congress in April. For those who don't know about this Article, it gives the Executive Branch full powers to negotiate and settle "controversies" bypassing Congress. In any case, regardless of this Article, if I was advising Burford, judgment creditors should demand the Milei administration to put any settlement agreement in front of both chambers of Congress for approval. This will validate the settlement and avoid any future default with a new administration.
2) It should be but for now, it is not. The market doesn't seem to be bothered about the likelihood of YPF being brought back to the case and neither does YPF's management (at least publicly).
3) Honestly, I don't think this case will reach SCOTUS again. If it does, it will be because of the remote possibility of a setback in the appellate court by plaintiffs. I don't see Argentina once again filing for certiorari after not wining a single ruling in this case since April 2015. The longer Argentina waits to negotiate with Burford, the more interests it will incur and the less likelihood of securing a deep discount from the original award. Remember, with an appeal ruling in Burford's favor, I would not show much flexibility to negotiate a 40% - 50% discount.
Hope this helps.
