Small pull back up to the close but will be good to finish above the £3.30 as it’ll set the tone.
Cannot understand how the London price follows the ADR slavishly! You'd think it would be the other way around! I am very positive about this share at the moment. I've had a few different entry points both higher and lower than current SP. Overall I'm in the red by about 5% (excluding divis).
I am no chartist but ran a comparison graph on the SP and price of Brent crude over the last 10 years and just from looking, it seems that the SP has about 50% upside if it is to match its relationship to price of oil over the last decade. I'm 100% sticking with this; last added at 3.00. Can see only upside based in incoming results for Q2 next month.
Lest anyone accuse me of ramping, a small holder like me with a few thousand shares will not shift the SP of a Behemoth like BP! I am an ant on the elephant's back!
Yup i totally accept it blue_boy just one of those things really sometimes you catch them sometimes you don't.
Mojo,
That’s the game you play when trading, it’s so easy to miss out on the big rises.
Very humble though and I’m sure you’ll get the chance to get back in on the dip.

Lol I have a bit of a nap and come back wow what a bad call but, i own it i made the call and have to stick with it. Still think there's room for a down day but maybe after 3.4 is hit now rise 66

Nuri
Why do you think that?!!
It is a first week after a while which is having a go at 330 and if you asking me I say we will push towards 340 very rapidly
The push will be sudden and in a matter of few weeks
There is nothing to stop this reaching 450/500 this year,
Some people questioning why I am so bullish about BP and I think they now realise why.
I honestly think we have seen nothing
Oil will be around $90 pb this year, and will hot $110 next year.

Will be interesting to see if there really is resistance at 330p. Guess we may find out this week.
I'd rather see profits go into renewables infrastructure than dividends personally. That strategy could provide a long term support/growth for the sp. 4% dividend plus diversification into renewables is a nice balance. Better than 8% and a slow decline of the sp to zero, aka tabaco stocks.
Relax, US waking up now and this will rise quick. Last couple of hours today will be interesting.
BP SP just can't make it beyond the resistance of £3.30 despite the fact that it is bound to report billions of profits ....
nuri123a - if you, or others, are basing your investment here on an increasing dividend any time soon I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed!
' I can see dividend being doubled in the near future! Plenty of profits at $73 a barrel!'' They have stated that the divi is fixed until 2025.
309 sorry
£3.30 a key hurdle. I can see dividend being doubled in the near future! Plenty of profits at $73 a barrel!
@stockread1 moved my target up to 30cant get in at the moment July most likely. Agree played it ultra safe but its good to see things finally move for a change gl to all holders.
Mojo
Get back in.... I meant
;-)
Mojo
Hi mate
Are you still hoping to achieve 307 entry?
Get back it mate, you might get it at 324 this week for a short period, but beyond that the push is up with massive pressure.
We should be in Upper 340 by now and that is where this heading.

Yes I think you played it way to safe on that one Mojo . Lockdown delay is only a delay ( nightclubs opening ) and has no effect and was already anticipated last week through media . Oil price motoring nicely now . Got a feeling US will take this over 330 this afternoon. Did you sell all your other shares too?
Sold too early lol. nice rise on oil today It's looking good for that 43 rise rsi still below 70 but getting close now. Congrats!
