@Damodubya
i was reading to fast to process now that i read it makes sense lol thank you for clarifying it !
i thought it may be a ticker code but as the thread was moving on with boohoo and the subject was at such kinda threw me and made me think maybe its like a RNS or another report as such lol
cheers appreciate the advice and knowledge!!
@Furion
When someone refers to something in capital letters it is usually its ticker/listing name...usually.
Type in the search bar (top left) or in Google followed with 'share price' appended, that way you can DYOR (Do Your Own Research).
LAM = Lamprell
Oil and Gas realated company that has diversified into wind - they shored up their finances pre-covid - off shore wind is expect to boon over the next decade and a half
Yes Jimmy thank you totally understand.
This was a long term investment but recognized a few points thought maybe try and ride that elation wave after results a little and cash in ... but defo dont want to be left out in the cold and not be able to get back in ...
cheers
Precisely, if Boohoo is showing massive growth then you will need to find somewhere to put that 20% that will give you at least equal returns....
Ah ok great thanks for the clarification, sell all and then wait for the drop to buy back again...
What is LAM sorry not sure what that refers to ... some acronyms are like a different language at the moment lol
Thanks again !
@furion - this tactic requires you to 1) know when the price is at its peak so you can sell, 2) know when the price is at the bottom so you know when to buy back in. If you have a 100% guaranteed way to predicted this you'd be able to become a millionaire very quickly.
Trading strategies are very personal depending on your own circumstances and risk profile. No one can tell you what's the best thing to do. Do your own research, set your targets, be patient, see the rewards.
If you are asking re LAM I was saying if you get a 25% gain take it all as it tends to creep back down, unless they are exceptional results to keep it up in the 30s but last 3 peaks only lasted a few days
I'd like to understand this a bit more too - also quite new. After earnings, should we sell say 20% of holding? If results are good?
Trying to catch a falling knife is never fun
sorry am new to the game what does LAM refer to and also after the RNS being positive hopefully that should jump SP would you usally sell a percentage of holdings or all and then buy back after the drop ?
cheers
@HereKittyKitty GWMO is looking worth a punt
LAM is moving early
They need their money back. I sold 7% up Amigo today as JB announced on call then it went -25%
Alba you know but anything sub 0.40 buy
VELA is a good buy 0.07 as should peak up into 0.12 or more again +50%
ICON in a good place 0.015 & is setup for 200-300% if we are lucky 0.02-0.03
SYME at 0.41/42 should recover back to 0.70+ near 100% but if drops below 0.40 tomorrow don't buy
EUR @ 19p looking a solid buy to with 25p+ on cards
Most covered on BB Heros
@HereKittyKitty liking the cross ramping you are doing to Boohoo over on Amigo
LAM half year results Thu AM - usually peaks 25% on news days
Was 21 Mon, 22 today rising to 23 now.
Estimate it hitting 28-32 up 22% to 40% on current 23p
But it never stays there more than a few days so take 20-25% Thu 10-10.30am unless it looks exceptional.
@HereKittyKitty don't worry, am going to follow you and a couple of other people around the LSE boards like a bad smell.
flash high at 395,2 then 405 are the nearby topside tech res, followed by 415 the highest close to date and the rejection at 420. and finally the all time high.

Just where they are placing their sell allocations so keeping away from lower sell prices meaning they expect it to be higher to sell
if the MM's have this locked with a sell at 407, does this mean if it get to this, they will sell off and the SP will tank? (knowledge isn't huge on MMs)
MMs upped to 407 sell side!

ALGOS making bank of everything they made from 385, but at least the range is pushing upwards now.
Might be by 2pm at this rate lol
Was just going to say, all the way to 400 is pretty weak right now.
