Boohoo never took IT piping from coast or oasis. They launched from scratch
My points have been the brand gets repositioned
This again was done with oasis and warehouse
Data can match over time although you’ve never said what boohoo does with any data
Please tell us for once!
Each website operates standalone even if we have a customer with 4 accounts across PLT, boohoo etc etc so what it doesn’t limit revenue
Revenue certainly can be. My point is that apart from designers and maybe some buyers the rest (the biggest and costly bit ie It and warehousing) we don’t take a single item from anyone (haven’t on any deals so far)
As you wack this on top of current infrastructure (done on every deal so far)
That’s my point

Missguided is a good brand and it’s incremental revenue therefore pure profit. Missguideds issue is it’s poor infrastructure (same as boohoo) but it lacks the scale to mitigate (which boohoo is just about managing to do)
Wouldn’t need a lot in terms of the back end integration and coast and oasis where done very quickly as they were similar style acquisitions. Boohoo kept the front end and just plugged in the back. So there’s precedent for it to work and experience of doing so successfully
Missguided has a slightly different demographic to boohoo and PLT. A girl who buys from Missguided will likely be the adanola type girl (trench coat and cap etc) so there’s a point to both
Also stock lots and lots of brands which all compete with Asos own brand and that model works well. It’s also another good brand to drag younger shoppers to the Debenhams marketplace
Obviously all this is subject to price and given cash is poor id expect management to have good plans for getting the money back and a return

I'm going to withhold judgement also on this alleged potential purchase of Misguided.
If its purchased for the right price I can see it adding a little to the stable. I also think it could possibly run side by side in U.S. however
Some basic looking would seem that U.S customers not that happy with Misguided.
From reading some of the reviews most seem to steam from slow shipping, increase costs of shipping and costs to return items to items not arriving at all.
Overview
Missguided US has a consumer rating of 1.72 stars from 413 reviews indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Consumers complaining about Missguided US most frequently mention customer service, tracking number and business days problems.Missguided US ranks 471st among Discount Shopping sites.

Misguided would be a great buy. Portfolio of this company keeps getting bigger year by year! Exciting times to be a holder.
Boo are buying for the database.
I think it’s a good move. Cost nothing extra to run it as you can just run this through the boohoo infrastructure (warehouses etc)
Also Missguided is a popular brand in the US which is where boohoo needs to win (hard). This brand, being popular in the US is another which de risks the big US warehouse investment

Let hope they grab it very cheaply.
No placings thank you very much.
When a retail company is going through a tough trading environment these moves are never welcome, but may look far sighted when things pick up, as they always do. And then you are expanding into a growing market with fewer retailers to compete against.
I just don’t think it’s a good decision at all.
If you’re struggling to raise the kids you have, why bring more into the family.

Are boohoo in preparation to do a buyout of MG?
