So it’s not good news that BMR is building a team and looking to relist in the next few months? Back in April you said you’d “accepted that your money is gone” - now you’re moaning that we’ve appointed somebody with very credible mining experience, and you think nothing is happening...
The past is the past, nothing we can do about it, so we now must look to the future.
The empire which should already be here you mean?
BMR couldn’t build a shed, never mind an empire.
Great so it’s someone else’s turn to take money out of a company which is doing nothing still. I’d like to put myself forward to take over when he’s had his fill, money for nothing!
People might hark on about how he’s a good appointment but it’s been said about those who have screwed us thus far too. This isn’t good news it’s fodder.
Sounds like a decent appointment to me. You can't build an empire without having a team in place. Things are moving in the right direction.

Just seen it. More money going out
New Tweet. Apologies cannot post link right now. New appointment
Just over a month now since we got rid of candy floss 'ead and Hillman Imp. What has Bird done since? It's about time he told us what exactly is going on, because we've been delisted from AIM for over two years now and it's beyond a joke. Have they only just started looking for new projects in the mining sector? If so, what had Borrelli been doing for two years?
Glad he's gone, but we are still left with a large problem in the form of the Birdster. He needs to start updating us frequently, in line with what surely aren't unreasonable shareholder expectations, considering also what we've endured under previous management.
Anyway, good luck all.
Sitting in the back seat, a voice expectantly says, "Any Good News"
This is what I had read. It's on bmr's website.
"On closure of the operations in 1994, much of the site area and plant infrastructure was sold in discrete lots to private investors, with the overall responsibility for decommissioning and rehabilitation of the sites retained by ZCCM. In recent years, the ownership of the Kabwe complex has been rationalised and since 2008 has been steadily acquired by BMR which now owns all the surface rights overs the 705 hectares at the site."
I guess that's different from liability for past pollution
Must admit I thought I read somewhere that ZCCM had taken on responsibility for the lead poisoning liability although maybe that's just protection for owners since it closed rather than previous owners
Apparently high levels of Lead may cause Dementia. I doubt that affected MA though. If AA are found guilty I wonder how that plays on the clear up.
Articles in mail and guardian about Anglo American being sued by residents in a class action due to long standing health issues from lead poisoning. Maybe it will make jubilee sit up and start processing the damned stuff adap.
Appreciated brynjon - thank you.
Stu - Borrelli has left - the company assets were given away - there is little to no value in the shares that we hold.
Colin Bird is the man taking over and looking to refloat, however, no one really knows.

I've still got some BMR shares from over 10 years ago and had basically written them off as worthless. I contributed regularly to this forum many years ago but just noticed that Jubilee Metals Group were looking to process the tailings at Kabwe. Are BMR still around and if so do we have any involvement? I have read through the blogs and RNS's and also BMR's twitter updated but still none the wiser. Sounds very lazy but a brief update would be very much appreciated.
I have to say that having to deal with Colin Bird he isn't going to be our saviour by any means and doubt he'll do us any favours - he is involved with so many companies and I feel like there are like his plays things and from my experience as a shareholder is that the performance is dreadful nothing good comes out of it like XTR over the long term - sorry I know I'm ranting but I wish we had nothing to do with him - how Borrelli sleeps at night I don't know but he got out cos I reckon the net was closing in.

Comment regarding Zambia media reports on exploration licence re Kalengwa Copper Project, Zambia
Bezant (AIM: BZT), the copper-gold exploration and development company, is aware of recent Zambian media reports questioning the legal ownership of the Large Scale Exploration Licence relating to the Kalengwa Copper Project in Zambia which the Company holds a 30% interest in and acts as operator.
Bezant confirms that it and its directors have not been served with any legal proceedings or restraint orders in relation to the Kalengwa Copper Project in Zambia.
In Zambia mining licences are issued by the Zambian Ministry of Mines and Mineral Development. The Zambian Mining Cadastre confirms the issue of Large Scale Exploration Licence 24401-HQ-LEL to Kalengwa Processing Zone Limited ("KPZ") on 2 April 2019 with an expiry date of 1 April 2023 which covers the commodities cobalt, copper, diamond, gold, iron or, lead, malachite and silver and comprises an area of 974.83 km(2.) As reported in the company's announcement on 27(th) April 2020 KPZ is a 100% (less one share) Zambian subsidiary of KPZ International Limited (KPZ Int) which the Company has a 30% shareholding in."
Foggy, that's right. JLP would be the obvious buyer of the Royalty.
Foggy, that Borrelli doesn't appear to have built any time clauses into the royalty deal and was seemingly happy to allow Bird to leave us hanging by a thread, tells you all you need to know.
Am a tad unsettled by this latest story coming out of Zambia about Bird as recently took a position in GLR. Hopefully just a storm in a teacup.
In an earlier post you mentioned that CB determined it would better in the future to sell the Royalty si do you not think this is what will happen as that is what he indicated ??? Royalty most likely will be sold to JLP but not yet . Obviously it will take some time for JLP to recover costs after which I suspect they will make an offer for said ??? Bit messy ti say the least .
I concur with your "Does anyone get the feeling we’ve been flogged a dead horse (the Royalty) by JLP/Borrelli?". I think its imperative to have sight of the agreement before progressing. We might be better off using the Royalty as a carrot if the likelihood of seeing it monetised is remote or if operations are unlikely to commence in the near term. A relisting with a potential income stream might make the prospects more attractive. I feel very uncomfortable having Bird in the nest with a perch in JPL. If JPL are happy to move on then they will not have too much concern about paying any Royalty not that, that, would concern them anyway, as they have what they wanted.

Bang him up, er, once we've got our royalty ringfenced. Eric always said he was a wrongun..
It also makes me feel uneasy that JLP gave us an 11% Royalty, and now Colin Bird, who is Chairman of JLP, is now in charge of that Royalty. It needs to be demerged from BMR and put into a private Company. That private Company needs to be assigned 2 or 3 trusted shareholder Directors that will oversee any negotiations of its eventual sale. That way, the shareholders of BMR have full control of it, and we can potentially milk JLP for every penny that it's worth. If this doesn't happen, we will never see a penny from it.
