What am I missing with the offer?? I maybe don’t understand it right, but say I accept it and buy some, as soon as they are released and show up in my account i will be in profit with them? (Assuming the price is at least the same as today)
Can someone who is much more knowledgeable than me just clear it up for me please. What does it mean by good quality reservoir but only minor oil shows? I thought a good reservoir in the oil world would have oil. What has it got instead; stagnant water and a few perch like my local reservoir?
Given the track record so far it’s worth remembering for those who are proclaiming life changing news by month end, that that is not what has been promised. The company said a trading update. Now I want this to be the big one as much as anyone who actually holds shares here, but let’s not get carried away and forget that we’ve been here before. Many were expecting solid news before the end of 2020 but that didn’t materialise. A trading update, going on what we’ve seen already, could well just be “all is proceeding on track and we will update in due course blah blah blah...”. It’s worth tempering expectations I think
Just a thought whilst it’s silly o’clock and quiet on here. I will start by admitting that I have risen to it in the past and bitten to it. But why oh why do people click reply on a thread to reply to such idiots to tell them they’re wrong?! You can’t constantly complain about them but give them life by allowing them to continue their narrative! You don’t know them and they have no actual effect on your life! You don’t click reply just to make a point which gets you nowhere, and they have nowhere to cause problems!
And I’m not just talking about the bashers, but also the ridiculous ones like those who crop up to say £1 party in Greece and call everyone who agrees brother.
Just start a new thread if you actually have something to say, otherwise this isn’t a discussion board; it’s somewhere people who don’t have the gumption to say what they want to in real life. There are posters here whose thoughts and insights I genuinely appreciate, normal people know who I mean, and I really do thank you. But as for the rest, why waste your time replying and allowing some low life to hijack what could be a useful place for real discussion? They can’t hijack a narrative if they are suffocated.
Anyway, ramble over! GLA holders, I’ll see you when this hits a quid after We get Apple onboard. Ooh just imagine! Haha
I have accepted that my money has gone but that doesn’t mean I don’t want it back!
I think in a shower like this that the past is a very good indicator of the future. There’s always an excuse here or a “it’ll be good this time because...” but it doesn’t unfold. When we were rid of the old crooked Alikhani, the new blood was going to steer the ship right. Borelli proceeded to take a wage and where exactly did he get us but further out of pocket as he took his money? No tangible benefit to us as holders, unless you could enlighten me?
But this time we’re going to be ok yea? This time it’ll be different?
Yes, I am very bitter about this share as I feel we, all shareholders, have been mugged and those responsible haven’t reaped what they have sown and deserve. Please don’t mistake this for me not wanting this to come right, just for once, as I sincerely do for all of us here. But I’m really struggling to see how that light at the end of the tunnel is any more than another new team at the helm lighting 50 pound notes to warm themselves
The empire which should already be here you mean?
BMR couldn’t build a shed, never mind an empire.
Great so it’s someone else’s turn to take money out of a company which is doing nothing still. I’d like to put myself forward to take over when he’s had his fill, money for nothing!
People might hark on about how he’s a good appointment but it’s been said about those who have screwed us thus far too. This isn’t good news it’s fodder.
Well here we go, I’m sure there will be plenty of posts today telling the mere mortals amongst us how they sold out at the absolute peak and warned us how bad tlw is.
I sold out early attempting to be smart and buy back lower With only a couple of hundred profit as I bottled it! Turns out I managed to do so at the days low on Monday. Not so clever. I do think that we are around the bottom for this now but struggling to justify that as although I know fundamentals are there to back this, the share is at the mercy of powers darker than me.
For the those who aren’t full of ****e; what are your opinions of where we are? Are we pretty much done for the drop back down?
Cheers and good investing
Unfortunately I have to agree and have had to accept the fact that my money is gone. Basically stolen in my view. It just sickens me that this will all go unpunished and these characters are allowed to get away with it. Our money lines their pockets and they get off scot free. At least as far as the law is concerned. Maybe they’ll get theirs a different way
RE: Egm20 Mar '20
I will tell you the bmrwatch plan. They call borrelli a thief. They will tell bmr shareholders they tried there best. They will buy more jubilee shares. They will forget the past few years.
Let’s be honest here, he has been stealing a wage whilst whatever plan he has to line particular pockets comes to fruition whilst holders are screwed
“what news will come in the weekend papers?i hope it is positive ffs, this is painful to the extreme atm, atb.”
I’m gonna say no news other than Tullow is f##ked for the time being. Anyone who is being honest couldn’t disagree. We can look at the little glimmers known as positives such as hedging against low oil prices all we want, but the fact of the matter is we, and by we I mean Tullow, are in the process of being bent over and given it all the way to the Cretaceous. It’s just how things are for now and I envy anyone with a spare couple of beans to put in here.
Unless the management stay in place, in which case I won’t be expecting a turnaround.
The phrase kicking the can down the road springs to mind here. Gil sure loves a positive spin, but that is IMO the admittance that we won’t drill till next year now, despite trying to say we “might”. I actually agree with Pro; there’s nothing coming bar a left-field surprise that will raise the SP here. All just IMO of course
For what they’re worth here are my thoughts.
We shot up extremely quickly on the discoveries, as was to be expected as it was a fantastic find in one of, if not the, hottest oil exploration areas in the world. There was a lot of excitement and probably also a lot of the market pushing it up. The company, read Gil, went on his jolly way telling all and sundry how amazing things were and I think got caught up in the excitement, basically saying the sort of thing you would take with a pinch of salt on a bb such as this. I think he should have tempered things and remembered the old adage of over promise under deliver myself.
We then started the inevitable slide as huge profits were taken and people didn’t want to wait for the next news. Our slide was massively compounded by Tullow falling apart, which is obviously beyond our control. I think they would be daft not to drill Guyana as soon as they can, and I don’t imagine Total will want it sat gathering dust. But I also think that they are trying to play it smart, and potentially hoping that they can be brought out of their share of this licence. I’m not sure that’s the smart move as I think it’s short sighted, but it’s a possibility.
The heavy and high sulphur content has left a bad taste in the mouth for sure. But it can certainly be commercially viable, which can be seen with just a little research.
However, the biggest problem we face at this time is communications. Timelines have consistently slipped in the past few months, CPR etc., and we have only been given a glimpse of the state of the oil we have found. In my opinion the company just needs to be straight and stop shying away from getting the story out. Hiding the bad news doesn’t make it go away. Yes I know there has to be agreement between all involved.
This company has huge potential, and although I think we unfortunately won’t drill until next year, possibly late this year if we’re lucky, I think we could be swimming in oil. Let’s just stop over promising with over optimism.
I also think that our biggest problem is Tullow so I would love it if we could be rid of them.
Just some of my thoughts and opinions, now go ahead and shoot me down!
