Ok. Seriously Jelly did you read the RNS properly? I assume you are aware that the Vametco plant has been showing it’s signs of age and that production levels were unreliable? This has to be fixed. New management were brought in and a major maintenance programme undertaken to fix these issues.
Data previously released suggested this had been successful but the RNS confirmed stability of production and a significant reduction in costs.
At Vanchem they have ramped up production and maintained a stable level. They have already begun work to open Kiln 3 and the finance is in place. Commissioning and production ramp up extend in 2022.
The Electrolyte plant will go into production next year.
Please tell me which of those developments is anything but positive.
If you can’t see beyond the daily share price you are always going to be frustrated on AIM. Focus on what the business is doing to fully understand the sp growth potential.
If you hold shares and are underwater I sympathise. We have all been there. If you wish to invest in miners / processors rather sometimes patience is necessary. These companies require large capital investment and projects can take years to come to fruition.
There. A proper answer for you.
Hahaha Thanks PDub.
Jelly if you post intelligently you will receive a similar response.
We can but keep our fingers crossed for you. Good luck.
There are those that take their cues from business developments and there are those that take them from the share price - fortunately we still have many on here that are willing and able to defend their investment choice even when the share price says otherwise.
It's much easier and lazier to take your cues from a dwindling share price.
HarChris thank you for your very generous comment and also to everyone that supported it.
However it is only fair to point out that despite losing some excellent posters there are still many doing an excellent job here in sharing research and providing analysis, and of course defending against the lies and misleads by trolls. A great team effort.
.....Evergrande
I agree with HarChris. Pdub has my vote for unerringly refuting and debunking a lot of spurious posts: Far from being aggressive, I would say he patiently engages people long after others would have given up. Two recent vermin have been sent packing but how long before Messers Ccups, LLuciano and Bblue playing for the second eleven resurface. I certainly think it's odd to comment on third party commentary on someone you've filtered.
With regard to SP, I think Vanadium price is acting as a brake as well as the usual suspects.
Although it has pulled back from the slump, it's clear that the Chinese construction growth and steel demand narrative is on hold until general market fears about Evergreen have been laid to rest.
@getbusy, it may deter a few inexperienced investors but imo this small short position will have a relatively insubstantial overall effect on sp. Many companies, large and small, carry some low level short positions along with them.
Lindon - so GSA short has nothing whatsoever to do with current sp ?
Yes Ben, I believe the company have previously made there views on this clear, the published short is insignificant, as is quite the case with many companies, it’s normal insti benign practise to have a small short position to be kept as a hedge, imo, this short has nothing whatsoever to do with the sp level. In all probability, even if the sp drifts or even shoots up on substantial news, the short will probably still be in evidence. The short, as IR have implied, is not a great concern, and there is nothing on record of them being in anyway pro-actively aggressive. Also BMN is not actually an illiquid stock.
However we do seem to have a large seller using a buy /sell repeat trading practise, primarily responsible for the sp being unable to break out from its current trading range.
A quant fund is an investment fund whose securities are chosen based on numerical data compiled through quantitative analysis. - wikipedia
I emailed the company about the gsa short position a while ago and this is what i got back....
'We are aware of the GSA, position. Our understanding is that that GSA are a quant fund, so their short position is likely to have been generated passively rather than through an active decision by a Portfolio manager'
I guess it will close in due course and it may well be a trigger for more buyers but who knows.

Pdub IS the BMN bulletin board guardian because he's one of the few great posters left on here - he does a sterling job of attempting to singlehandedly keep this bb afloat from nefarious agitators and I think I speak for the majority on here when I say we're very grateful of all his efforts!
Pdub, you didn’t touch a nerve, I replied in the interest of being helpful to you how you may be perceived in a better light. Ignore if you wish.
ooohhh .... harsh .. but fair ... and why I filtered pdub - sick of the ones sided aggressive responses
Other views are of course available !
Beginerman just trying to help you understand why you may attract some sharp comments. You don’t want that help that’s fine. Sorry I touched a nerve. As I said no disrespect intended.
Have a nice day.
Pdub, your knowledge knows no bounds, you are evidently also an expert in psychology. Perhaps some self examination may help your egotistical behaviour as regards your posting behaviour and superior attitudes to other posters - you may consider you are the guardian of all things positive on this BB, but please be a little less judgmental.
Sammy, re your question asking if the BOD can do anything about the manipulation… yes they can, but not directly and not imminently. This sort of share recycling goes on when there is very little volume, shorters are able to have disproportionate power in these cases and control the share price - what we need is positive news built upon positive news so we start to see enough buying pressure to force them to close.
The last update was solid but not quite enough to stop the rot it seems. Some BE news would be very welcome soon and would likely blow the shorts away…
Beginerman given that the vast majority of posters receive no abuse whatsoever perhaps you need to examine how you go about things.
If you respect other people and recognise their concerns and aspirations, and adjust your style accordingly then I suspect you may be treated with more respect.
Doom and gloom, negative I told you so’s, etc etc are never going to go down well with folks that may have their entire savings in this investment.
If that doesn’t bother you then fine but don’t complain when you receive a frosty reception. Can’t have it both ways.
Even in your post there is an implication that large shareholders are causing this. Whilst it is possible that some holders are trading, it is a bit ridiculous to suggest this is the cause when we know there is a significant short out there.
No disrespect intended and only my opinion. Feel free to ignore.
Pdub, A few weeks ago I mentioned the issues of buying and selling stocks relating to a lack of liquidity, only to receive abuse. Selling on a rise by many who hold large quantities could encounter difficulties.
It is very easy to judge a company and the BoD by its share price, but when that share price is being so blatantly manipulated I think that would be a mistake.
Every business from time to time faces issues. The question is how does the BoD respond.
Vametco had problems maintaining production. The response was to rectify the processes and aim to achieve stable production and reduced costs. From previous information we all believed that to have been successful. The reason this RNS was so important is that it confirmed that the company’s objectives had been delivered.
Excellent work by the BoD and the workers at Vametco. Well done.
Focus on what the company is doing.
Just my opinion.
A short involving 7000000+ shares being churned over on an illiquid stock is more than enough to do damage. In my opinion that is exactly what is happening.
Does anyone really believe that GSA Capital Partners simply borrowed the shares, sold them and then are sitting patiently waiting for the sp to fall to their target? Pull the other one.
I believe they are constantly recycling these shares. Basta*ds!
Thanks JimboI may be mis reading then thanks, was looking at value not shares numbers borrowed.
Short was still open cop on Friday, hence the weekend trolling.

BG, The last change in the GSA short was an increase from 0.5% to 0.6% on Sep 8. Nothing more recent reported.
