Yes Marik and that is what I wanted an acknowledgment that as a shareholder I will be listened to. I didn’t expect anything more. Like others have said, up to recently they haven’t even acknowledged the emails from investors. I have full confidence also that the test will detect the variant. I wasn’t looking for clarification of that either. I was planting a seed that they should be more on the ball with their marketing. It’s what they are paid to do.
@Muller Avacta and FTI won't provide you personally with a statement that they will in the future release information that could make the share price jump "20%". You would have inadvertently been holding on to information that is price sensitive. There is a heavy penalty in such circumstances. The best you could have hoped for is what you got is an acknowledgement with we are taking your views on board. I personally refrain from sending such emails.
Getting anyone to be persistent with the promotion of AffiDX is like banging your head against a brick wall. I tee-d up the local MP with the baited hook that world could be thanking Wetherby for a life changing gift, alas it's just the same old, same old. Just because he mentioned the test to the DHSC earlier in 2021 doesn't mean he's done his job. It means he's failed in his job. Come on Al, get this Rt Hon chap back on the case again.

Thank you for your email. I am sorry to hear that your business has been affected by the pandemic.
I can assure you that I and many of my constituents are extremely proud of our local businesses, including Avacta. Indeed, I visited Avacta earlier this year and approached the Department of Health and Social Care about their extremely accurate Covid-19 tests.
Thank you once again for approaching me.
All best wishes,
The Rt Hon. Alec Shelbrooke, PC, MP Conservative Member of Parliament for Elmet & Rothwell Leader of UK Delegation to the N.A.T.O. Assembly
@iceman888: I empathise with your frustration that NCYT and GDR are having a party (second time around for NCYT) and that we have had such excellent news but only moved marginally. The hot trader money is indeed over there - artificially inflating those stocks - as it did here previously. However, the big moves here are yet to come but they will - and unlike our last outing when it does happen it's going to go utterly stratospheric and remain in orbit. We all know the news that is due - short, medium and long term - but we'll have to wait for it. Just pointlessly ramping seven shades of shyte out of the share will achieve diddly squat - apart from make you a laughing stock. We've had the uber-rampers here before - we didn't need them then and we sure don't need them now - this share is maturing nicely - as today's brilliant news demonstrates! I suggest you calm down and get grounded. All IMHO of course.
"the Avacta Affimer attaches itself to the spike protein of all covid-19 mutations and dominant variants, hence the reason it still had same near perfect detection rate for the delta variant - so there’s no logical reason for it not to detect Omicron either." ...unless there is a change in the conformation of the part of the spike protein where the Affimer attaches. Or to put it another way: just because you've woken up every morning doesn't mean you'll wake up every morning for all of eternity.
@MrR: It's taken you a while but you've finally seen the light and joined the majority who just ignore Wynbore - I know it's him as he's my only filtered poster. If all genuine AVCT LTH's did the same he'd just be a sad twat whining endlessly to himself - nobody to engage or argue with.
Muller - it’s been made clear several times that the Avacta Affimer attaches itself to the spike protein of all covid-19 mutations and dominant variants, hence the reason it still had same near perfect detection rate for the delta variant - so there’s no logical reason for it not to detect Omicron either.
‘AffiDX® antigen lateral flow test detects the Delta variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in clinical samples and, in this small study, outperformed two lateral flow antigen tests that are commercially available in Europe’
Yes appreciate some would like reassuring what’s been said over and over - but avacta are unfortunately not in the business of daily Ramps to temporarily uplift the SP, it’s only factual mileposts and actions that have already happened that get RNS treatment nowadays.
The next RNS next will most likely be HUA and a least a snippet of what Medusa-19 have been doing and will be doing going forward
Incompetence is a strong word but everyone is prone to missing a trick. They are rubbish at responding to investor queries. I think they only responded to me as I included Avacta. We know for instance in government after all the LFT fiasco that the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. I like to take action and that is why I emailed them. I don’t really care if my opinion that they didn’t think of it is correct . I feel like I’ve done something positive when I take action and I try to do it in a diplomatic way .
Fair enough Wonga. Personally I find it hard to believe that a company who's got the world's best test available after 18 months of incompetence just carries on being incompetent in publicising it as it burns its way through £2m per month.
Wyn I would say that is exactly what it is. There have been many missed publicity opportunities In the last 18 months, it shouldn't be PIs prompting the company comms dept.... a strategy should already be in place.
