@limpingalong
One simple question is ARB on your list somewhere
@moog true...I’ll give you my list of 25 company names I think of tomorrow... “this time next year we’ll be mil......”
@limpingalong
Well that's the things about putting your money in any share hope it turns a few quid
You and me could list 50 different company's experts said when floated they are well over overvalued and if had put money in on the float day it would have turned out more than good
Not lest of all our friend BTC who thought 8 years go it would be pushing towards 50k gpd a pop but hindsight is a wonderful thing we would all be multi billionaires lol
First time I have shorted with IG and just keep walking down my stop loss to guarantee profit . Just for a bit of fun really to see if I got it right think it will turn but not today will close at 30k if it goes that low
Maybe moog but there’s gonna be a lot of people holding that stock for quite sometime unless there is the mother of all bounces at some point, horrible looking place right now.
What carnage has it caused?
I remember when facebook got listed the first day I think it was around 38 usd and remember folks saying it was well over priced and not worth 15 usd it's a money pit
Look at it today over 300 usd so many experts got it wrong then and could we'll be the same with coinbase
That IPO has caused carnage! I’m sure there’s a lesson in there somewhere.......
Coinbase may double again to $200Bn but what is actaully is it making a profit on?
High Valuation Compared to Stock Exchanges
Coinbase should be worth less than its $100 billion, according to MarketWatch. How so? Its valuation “implies that its revenue will be 1.5 times the combined 2020 revenues of Nasdaq and NYSE parent, Intercontinental Exchange — two of the most established exchanges in the marketplace.”
Competition Could Drive Down Transaction Fee
Coinbase took in a transaction fee of 0.46% in the first quarter — that is 46 times higher than the fee charged by those two stock exchanges. Crypto trading rivals such as Gemini, Bitstamp, Kraken, Binance, and others, MarketWatch notes, could drive down transaction fees to zero — which would cut into Coinbase’s revenue.
Pedrobull - It is FIVE times overvalued in my humble opinion??? Really
Glad you said this was your "humble opinion" Laughs
Don't worry about Coinbase. BTC is staging a recovery at the moment, after being dragged down by Coinbase, and ARBKF is rising with it. See you at 240p tomorrow!
Coinbase is $365 right now 19.24 London time
It's market cap exceeded $100,000,000,000 at float
Its is FIVE times over valued in my humble opinion.
Yea coinbase IPO is trashing everything right now S&P / Nasdaq down too
@Brazil2020 that's a damn interesting stream!
Good entry. Decent core holding.
ATB mate.
I managed to get @ USD 385 - had to fill in forms and then the price started to fall - with IG.com - GL FX_Wizard
The opening price was $381 so only slightly up.
The charts are basing the increase on the reference price of $250 which no one could buy at.
Can see this being an investors share but not sure about traders.
Lot of cash looking for a new home.
wasn't cheap GBP 308, USD 424.
Must have been about 2-5 mins after auction.
Until Kraken comes to market Coinbase is gonna be in the spotlight.
FX_Wizard How much did you manage to get it for ?
Managed to get some Coinbase when it came out of auction. Kept powder dry should it settle down in a few weeks.
Pivotal moment.
GLA.
Absolute rocket fuel !!! I’m taking a guess Mara and Riots invester base has lumped in looking at their prices today - Crypto is utterly bonkers :)
