Nice going #Splatted.
57, retired at 53, no mortgage & several houses rented out so comfortable. only joined the party on 15th Feb in at 187p. have been trying to trade my way to a larger holding, but with a core stash. My trading amount got caught with the 290's on Monday, but topped up today twice at 239 and 234, so trading avg is around 230'ish. But also now holding some that are free after trading . will continually hodl, and add to the free column when the dips come along. simple trading strategy , buy on dips sell initial capital once hit 10%-ish profit, bank the free shares. all in my Shares ISA so free from any CGT involved. Currently my ARB holding is 44.12% of my ISA. Looking forward to April to top up with another £20K. Just wished Sunak, increased the allowance.....
49 and topped up today taking me over 1 million. 6.2p average
If its any consolation James, I played with Oil for years and thought £100 was a win until the covid crisis.
I've come to consider that there is no right or wrong time to get into stocks, as it is all relative to your picks.
Matheus from Funky Finance has just announced he has decided to go 100% into his YouTube channel, I will be following with interest as he really knows his stuff IMO.
I’m 25 and an average of 29p, hold enough here to pay off my mortgage hopefully this year or next. HODL
59 and hoping that a diverse portfolio of investments, including a good chunk of Argo, will allow me to move from a three day working week to just one or two or even zero : l just want to have good options / choices at this stage of my life.
dont be be hard on your self life is about the now and living it to the fullest
31 on Sunday, kicking myself for not getting into this game 10 years ago! Maybe 10 years ago too reckless, say 5
hahaha! Argo-family! :0)
The hedonist in me got worn out a long time ago :0(
K3VMC - not near the coast on purpose! 7 minute drive from the airport is better and I don't want to be surrounded by digital nomads! Lots of beads and tie dye with tattoos and piercings. Perish the thought!
JMango - I have no idea what an Argo-Fam designer is but sounds too hedonistic for me sorry.
@Shantaram, if you want an Argo-fam designer hit me up. I did this place in Ibiza a few years ago:
https://www.villaguru. com/luxury-villas/spain/ibiza/villa-can-jordi/
I've started my own business up again after 7 years designing bars and restaurants on the London-Dubai merry go round.
Ok. I’m in. My missus bought the tax haven and my task is to buy the holiday home.
Are you near the coast?
K3VMC - 1.99 euros for a litre of red. The soil is particularly fertile here and grapes growing everywhere. Vranac is locally produced and very palatable. The vineyard is Plantaze. 12%. The exchange rate makes that about £1.70!!! Beer is 55 cents for a 500ml bottle. Hooch heavenly affordable.
shanta, what’s the wine like?
So great to read this, Different ages, different back grounds and different reasons and hopes for the future that this share is hopefully going to help with, Hope everyone hits the goal, we all have our dreams and let’s hope Argo helps us get a step closer, I am a late arrival at this party but hoping I can take a little away form it.
Awwww, you guys and gals are all a strong buy!!
Changed my mind; this thread's the best!!
@ TEconomist / Herdie / RC & any other Argonauts who are inspired to get involved : this is great, and definitely something to keep in mind & keep some momentum with.... Do I sense a CIC being formed here?
Needs some sort of Argo nod in the name.... (Golden fleece - Nah.. Moonshot - Hmm, nah [needs work]).
@l_b; "I bet PW would love to hear that kind of account too tbh. Maybe we should write him a book of thanks with some anecdotes in future." - Pretty sure PW knows already.... You think he doesn't pay someone to monitor social media? Company rep is in the risk assessment; Argo understand the game, they pay attention and they address any potential issues before they negatively impact the business.... IMHO.
The anecdotes book is still a good idea though.
Nerds.

Sure Pearls is up for it
My Vietnamese partner and I finished work on 28/02/2020 to travel the world - ha! I was 54 and she 45. We bought a 7.5 ton furniture removal lorry and put a kitchen and bed and port potty in and went to Calais, not ever having driven one before. Avoiding Spain/Italy and getting out of France we just drove with no plan. After Germany/Austria/Luxembourg/Hungary/Slovakia/Croatia/Serbia we found Montenegro and visited as I only knew they sing a song in Eurovision song contest. Two weeks later bought a house for 40k. Would love to have some Argonautic assistance to do the place up!! The Lorry is here and for sale too - Mercedes, low mileage and bags of adventure!!!
Thank you all - RC, Herdie CC
Would really like to share your ideas going forward. We can make a massive difference for the vulnerable/disadvantaged.
ARB has the best Board....
CC, Herdie and theEconomist - likewise if I can hit the big resign button this year I would like to get involved.
Currently doing some mentoring which is very rewarding - might look at setting something up in that area for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Share the skills and tricks I have learnt as a white man getting on in the corporate world.
Hope we can get to do these things.
RC
32 years old, started investing 4 years ago but first big success is this share, which has helped me become a one hundred thousand-aire (and briefly two hundred thousand when it was £3.25) if that’s a thing :) still holding from 4.24 p. However I know nothing guaranteed until you sell.
Nice one CC, and most certainly will.
@ Economist & Herdie;
I'm from a MH / Healthcare background, but now in education: I'd be keen to get involved in some regard....
Please keep it in mind.
Regards,
CC
@margie123 alright uncle D it’s ya nephew lol! 68 hey , got a few years on my 29....

55 retired in June last year on my 55th birthday, been into shares since the early 90s, started with Stagecoach while a manager with the employee "bogof" offer, and never looked back since::)
A young 45 here.
Big thanks to you all for the daily reminders of where this is headed, so I'm not tempted to cash in on any highs. My industry isn't allowed to restart until the end of June, so I'll be relying on you to keep me on the right path until I have a wage coming in again. Must. Not. Sell. Shares.
