One thing, I still can’t seem to find loglorry1 on any financial listing so was hoping you could point me in the right direction, as I always like to do a little research on a company’s position before taking their opinion as gospel. Or have I got the wrong end of the stick, should I be looking to find them in the science community? Either way I’m sure it’s my fault and they must be listed somewhere, I mean, it’s not as if you’d be giving this much credence to something posted by an anonymous individual online would you….???? Eureka! ….at last we have consensus. And first choice for connection to battery packs (just as AFC have done ). And there can be other combos deploying grid, wind and solar where applicable also. It's not plain sailing for AFC then, is it? Lots of other possibilities and competitive possibilities out there isn't there. Bmac
If you use green electricity from excess wind solar etc then the only by product of the cracking process is nitrogen.

After cost, timeframe and power availability have been explored for a grid connection, only then will AFCs option be looked at. We are all aware of the business model of the off grid EV charger. Thats the USP, its off grid you lemon.

In the last 12 months …
Green ammonia pilot plants began operations in the UK and Japan, and new demonstration plants were announced in Australia, Denmark, Morocco, and the Netherlands (more, yet to be announced, are in development). Fertilizer company CEOs spoke about how green ammonia fits their corporate strategy. And all four of the global licensors of ammonia technology made it abundantly clear that they are ready and willing to build your green ammonia plant, today.
Yara, one of the world’s biggest ammonia producers, added green ammonia to its innovation platform in its 2017 Annual Report, with the ambition of “establishing a leading position on de-carbonized ammonia production combined with a business model of ammonia as an energy carrier.” Yara continues to study the potential for solar ammonia at its existing Pilbara plant, and we might see an investment decision in the coming year.

In June, ThyssenKrupp announced the launch of its technology for “advanced water electrolysis,” which produces carbon-free hydrogen from renewable electricity and water. This “technology enables economical industrial-scale hydrogen plants for energy storage and the production of green chemicals.”
Two weeks later, in early July, ThyssenKrupp announced that it was moving forward with a demonstration plant in Port Lincoln, South Australia, which had been proposed earlier this year. This will be “one of the first ever commercial plants to produce CO2-free ‘green’ ammonia from intermittent renewable resources.”
The German conglomerate is one of the four major ammonia technology licensors, so its actions in the sustainable ammonia space are globally significant.
ThyssenKrupp’s ammonia synthesis technology was first launched by Uhde in 1928 and, by its own estimation, the company’s technology has been used in 130 ammonia plants in the last 90 years. Uhde also began making electrolyzers in the 1950s, primarily serving the chlorine production industry, where ThyssenKrupp now boasts a 49% market share as “supplier for electrolytic hydrogen production,” having built 600 electrochemical plants worldwide with an installed power rating of 10 GW. ThyssenKrupp also operates one of the few ammonia plant engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms, through its subsidiary ThyssenKrupp Industrial Services (TKIS).
Those two technologies – ammonia and electrolyzers – have been integrated by the engineering division, and the company is now well-positioned to deliver the “green hydrogen and renewable ammonia value chain.”

Bsac you've already been told why they didn't use cracked H2 on the demo, its because the system will be going on a roadshow and its easier to transport and supply on the road. Nothing sinister about that but there is about you.

The recent claim of being able to consume less pure Hydrogen is odd since they seem to still be quite far away from being a leader to use Cracked Ammonia Hydrogen. Why did they not demo the cracked Ammonia solution? How can this EV charging system be remotely competitive vs grid electricity which can be 100% renewable and in many cases will be a high % renewable? Why do we need off grid charging stations? EVs have 300km+ range there are virtually no places on earth where there is a road more than 50km from the grid. An AFC 4kw cell generates around 1/20th if the power required to charge one car. Think about it. A TSLA with a 100kwh battery would take 25 hours to charge. A Tsla super charger requires up to 400kw per charging bay? What cost is a 400kw Cell from AFC complete with cracker? Would solar or Wind with battery storage not be cheaper and greener? The cost of Ammonia is quite expensive around $400/ton before delivery. This translates into about 15p/kwh in fees cost alone. Adding capital expenditure, maint etc, is going to make a cost way higher than grid at around 10p/kwh. I think ppl here are lapping up what AFC tell them rather than do some real research.
