On the contrary HAT I can see that it is you who are talking to yourself (even though I am taking the time out of my extremely busy schedule to reply to you)

If I start a message with Plappers it’s because I am responding to a message from Plappers

Capisce ?

RTC that is the longest message you've ever written, to yourself. Btw. That wasnt the first time today you answered a message as 'plappers' only the board was busy and you both away with it. Today however you wernt as lucky.

Enjoy your new year talking to yourself

Plappers

We are just playing around with terminology

A naked short is just selling a stock without borrowing it....

The definition of a short is when someone BORROWS someone else’s stock and then sell it on the open market for a price, say £1,000. They are selling the BORROWED stock because they believe the price of the underlying asset is going to go DOWN.

So, I have just borrowed stock sold it on the open market for £1,000. I have £1,000 in cash, I can’t do much with that cash because I have borrowed the stock so the cash isn’t really mine, BUT I believe the price of said stock is going to go DOWN, so I wait until it goes down to buy it back at a profit (because I have to give the stock back to whoever I borrowed it from);

The stock value has now gone down to £800.

I don’t believe that it is go down anymore so I decide that I want to close my position. Now I have to BUY back stock (with the £1,000 cash I made from the initial sale) @ £800. Now I have to give that stock back to the organisation I BORROWED it from, now I will net the difference of £200.

Market makers don’t naked short stock because they are the ones who provide the liquidity in these illiquid AIM markets, it’s just trading a stock buying low selling high and repeating the cycle. That is why these so called ‘short positions’ don’t get reported to the market; they have free reign because they are trading at much higher risk in theory than anyone else because they provide the liquidity

As far as I'm concerned the year is done for AIM. Very little will be released before the new year. Possibly next week down hole wire line logging results but IMO no assay results. Would be pretty pointless exercise as momentum would be lost over the holiday.

Happy Xmas everyone and see ya all next year

Simply, more people have been selling than buying since the last RNS. Hence the drop in share price. It’s not ‘being held down’. It was more likely to fall than rise over the last week with no news expected over this time period. Dips are healthy.
